CELEBRITY LINE PREVIEW: FETISH / HOUSE OF DEREON

Thursday, February 28, 2008

evesfetishline.jpg

A preview of Eve’s revamped fetish line is now available for viewing at thefetishcollection.com.

Compared to Fetish clothing before, the look is more trend setting this go around. The contemporary pieces at first glance give off a “bad girl” vibe, with plaid prints and skull patterns, leather jackets, and bustier jeans. According to Eve, the fetish woman “knows what she wants and how to get it”.

Fetish is set to hit stores this Holiday Season with prices ranging from $150-$1500.

beyoncedereonnew2.jpg

Another celebrity line being revamped is Beyonce & Tina Knowles’ House Of Dereon line.

With dresses and gowns starting at $350, this line is clearly for the upscale shopper and mainly consists of trendy formal wear. The Fall 2008 collection is available for viewing at HOD.COM, and will be sold in the likes of Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales.

House of Dereon looks nice and classy…
Very expensive though. I would definitely

HOD probably paid someone to design for them b/c this is a BIG change. it looks better but if i’m paying hundreds for a dress, i’ll go to a better designer. sorry

HOD only looks good on Beyonce. I don’t wanna wear stuff that clearly looks like something Bee would wear or has worn in the past….eh. Same with L.A.M.B.

Eve is out of her head thinking someone would pay 150 + for her shit.HOD, is ok.I can find better dresses aroun 150 to 350 better than this.

@4 Bri, those girls do not look like Beyonce, especially the white chick. Quit hating.

Anyway, I like the yellow HOD dress. I’ll pass on Fetish.

Both Eve’s and House of Derion clothes are put in the “been there done that” section. But if I have to choose, I’d go with House of Derion.

Beyonce’s line has gotten a definite upgrade as well.

Congrats to both ladies for steppig their game up.

NOt feeling Fetish AT ALL esp. for the price range of 150-1500(ever’s lost her mind). I like HOD’s new look (still overpriced but cute).

Eve’s line looks it’s coming out with some hot clothes..stuff i most def would rock and HOD has stepped it up and their looks are really classy…looks like stuff Bey would rock so Im sure they will sell

I don’t think Fetish looks trend setting it just looks like it’s copying what’s hot right now.
HOD definetly has a Beyonce feel to it.

Both ladies are poor dressers. Both clothing lines are tacky. Neither have any kinda design talent. Enough with this overpriced trash!

House of Dereon is bringing out some really trendy looks. Im will be looking into it.

29.

La'shonda

Thursday, February 28, 2008 /

I like both of the lines. Its interesting how you can see the signature styles of both Beyonce and Eve in their respective outfits. I would def rock Fetish in the day and HOD at night but unfortunately these women have lost their minds when it comes to the prices (especially Eve). It is only when you have been designing for a long time and have established your line before you can charge such prices. Don’t step into the game and think we gon cough up all that dollar because its Eve or who ever.

30.

TALKIN SHIT

Thursday, February 28, 2008 /

I’m feeling Fetish, that’s a good look. Although I don’t see anything different about her clothing that sets it apart from others, I would still wear some of the outfits.

As far as HOD’s line of dresses? Bee’s name is written all over them, I can see her rocking each and every dress pictured above. The dresses and gowns are nice in my opinion.

31.

WOW

Thursday, February 28, 2008 /

both are different styles cant really compare the two. One line is urban - still cute. And the other his gearing towards a fashionista - still cute.

I must say, this is the very first time HOD came out with something I actually like. good job, you can tell Beyonce and mama knowles had nothing to do with this because both have no sense of style.
Just cause you can afford and wear expensive stuff dont mean you have style.

32.

whatsgoingon

Thursday, February 28, 2008 /

The FETISH line has such a faddish look- in today, out tomorrow. HOD on the other hand is smoking. But, I’ve seen designer dresses in Neimen Marcus and Macy’s cheaper in price. These clothes are totally overpriced, but it’s a marketing strategy. If you start off expensive, then have a “sale”, customers will think they are getting a good deal and be more apt to buy, when in reality they are paying what the item is really worth. These clothes are for smaller women I see. Most women average size are 12 and up. Come on y’all, work with the thick sisters!!!!

33.

Miss mikelah

Thursday, February 28, 2008 /

If both these line were in Target or Forever 21 they’d sell like Hot Cakes! Sleep if you want to but Mary Kate & Ashley are making millions on their exclusive Wal-Mart line. I hate that artist always want to have a clothing line but want to make it so pricey for crappy quality.

34.

CP

Thursday, February 28, 2008 /

I swear it feels like these “designers” are putting out anything and calling it fashion these days . . . .

Don’t really care for either clothing line but it is a major step up from we have seen before. I’m just curious as to why all these celebrity designers want to go for upscale. I mean is this stuff really worth the price especially when the trends don’t last too long. I fear for high fashion right now . . .

35.

Beyonce is such a fashionista I just love her style she can really dress. I love HOD dresses and jeans. They reported that Tina sold 8,400 of her dresses on the HSN in just 2 hrs or something like that. Apparently HOD is very successful and they’re making millions so congrats to Beyonce she has another success under her belt.

As for Fetish I’m not too familiar with it but I see some cute stuff I like. Congrats to Eve as well.

Both ladies should be proud.

Ok Cookielady,

You totally put HOD on blast. I followed the links you posted and you’re right. But even among the “real” designers, you will find they have similar styles and replicas of clothes and shoes. However, when I went to your links, like I said, some of the designers dresses were priced cheaper than HOD’s knockoffs. To each his own, but if I’m gonna spend loads of money for clothes, you better believe it will be with a well known designer- not someone who’s just getting their clothing business off the ground. I aint no sucker.

Eve’s line is cute. Kinda pricey..
Mama Tina has stepped her game out. They look nice! Gowns starting @ $350 hell to da naw!
Eve & Beyonce and their marketing teams clearly have no idea that their prices are TOO HIGH for regular folks…

46.

SweetThang729

Eve’s fetish line looks a lil’ dated like when Skinny and high waisted first came back like 1 or 2 seasons ago and I like the first and the last dress that’s shown for Bey’s line not to keen on their prices neither…especially Eve’s it still looks like a cheap “mony’s” line

PLANET EARTH ANYONE???

Now why would concreteloop compare the casual style of fetish to the dressy style od House of Dereon. If you compared House of Dereons casual look to fetish casual look, everyone clearly knows that fetish would out do the House of Dereons casual look. Honestly, fetish is outdoing the House of Dereons dressy look, though its casual look is being displayed.

I would never wear anything that’s from the House of Dereon, maybe a hat if it looks real cute…and I mean real cute, but that’s all. The HOD never seemed to catch my eye. Eve has major style and her clothing line has always caught my eye. I love Beyonce, but not her clothing line.

I HATE THE FACT THAT THE EVERYDAY NORMAL PEOPLE WHO BUY THEIR MUSIC AND WATCH THEIR FILMS CAN’T AFFORD THEIR CLOTHES. SO RETARDED. “LET’S KEEP CAPITALISM ALIVE!” THEY SHOUT.

Fetish: Nice, but so on trend, it’s nearly out of trend. Come to London and not even the Tom,Dick and Harry’s are wearing them high waisted jeans. They’ll sell but who cares?

House of Dereon: Stunning dresses, but who can afford them? Better she don’t show them to us. No, I’m just hating, but I know I can’t afford this stuff, yet. It means basically nothing to me.

I enjoyed this.

I don’t like Eve’s website. You cannot really get a feel for the clothes because they do not ashow you the heads or shoulders of the models. The other thing is I saw some t shirts in there. I know she does not expect the regular consumer to pay 150 for a t shirt. Puhlease. I know I can’t afford it anyway.

I like all of those dresses shown in the House of Dijonaise line. I bet I could find a knock-off at Forever 21.

I like the high waisted jeans in Eve’s line. However they look really really and I mean really, did I say really CHEAP. On a rack/scale of every color in “The Rainbow”, you would probably be able to find the look there.

That high waisted jumper skirt screams “stretch jean” material and it’s faded. How you gone have faded jeans in a promo pic……..ugh! Did she not use Woolite Dark to maintain “bleeding”?
