A preview of Eve’s revamped fetish line is now available for viewing at thefetishcollection.com.
Compared to Fetish clothing before, the look is more trend setting this go around. The contemporary pieces at first glance give off a “bad girl” vibe, with plaid prints and skull patterns, leather jackets, and bustier jeans. According to Eve, the fetish woman “knows what she wants and how to get it”.
Fetish is set to hit stores this Holiday Season with prices ranging from $150-$1500.
Another celebrity line being revamped is Beyonce & Tina Knowles’ House Of Dereon line.
With dresses and gowns starting at $350, this line is clearly for the upscale shopper and mainly consists of trendy formal wear. The Fall 2008 collection is available for viewing at HOD.COM, and will be sold in the likes of Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales.

I don’t like Eve’s website. You cannot really get a feel for the clothes because they do not ashow you the heads or shoulders of the models. The other thing is I saw some t shirts in there. I know she does not expect the regular consumer to pay 150 for a t shirt. Puhlease. I know I can’t afford it anyway.

Its good both lines are trying to be up-scale but every one of those designs up there has BEEN THERE…DONE THAT… BOUGHT THE T-SHIRT AND BURNT DA MUDA…Those clothes are so out of style in London, they are mostly from 1-2 seasons ago..

i like the HOD dresses…the Festish stuff looks like classic Philly hood which kinda makes sense but doesn’t since Eve lives in LA now I think…hmm maybe cheap LA & cheap Philly have something in common. go figure.

I like the high waisted jeans in Eve’s line. However they look really really and I mean really, did I say really CHEAP. On a rack/scale of every color in “The Rainbow”, you would probably be able to find the look there.
That high waisted jumper skirt screams “stretch jean” material and it’s faded. How you gone have faded jeans in a promo pic……..ugh! Did she not use Woolite Dark to maintain “bleeding”?
I am loving the HOD collection…looks real nice. no so much feeling the Fetish line…looks not so nice.

As for Dereon, it looks like they’ve finally gotten a good design team (or just finally gotten a design team), but originality is questionable: take the third dress, the fuchsia print. Aren’t trompe l’oeil necklaces and billowy, draped silhouettes BOTH Marchesa signatures? Hmm…
I like Eve’s line, except the last outfit on the end.

The HOD stuff is ok but I’m not thrilled, I really don’t like their clothes. But if anybody else dose, it’s always on sale at Macy’s on the 50% off rack along with G-Unit.

HOD is looking good. Every designer – high and low priced copy each other so I’m not knocking them for any similarities. Who’s to say those designers didn’t see Tina’s first? Either way – HOD dresses are high priced, but those same dresses at ABS Schwartz (who’s the knock King) and other designers would come at higher prices.
I appreciate that HOD uses the best materials they can and they’re really soft. A lot of socialites, etc. buy HOD so don’t sleep. Dereon is more like the Fetish line and Dereon’s doing very well. HOD’s supposed to have new shoes and bags too.
I’ll always support HOD, Dereon, Fetish, etc. because they are our Dior, Gucci and LV. Wake up people and stop supporting those that could care less if we bought their clothes or not. They don’t even advertise with black businesses or communities. When’s the last time you saw a Dior or Gucci ad in Essence?
That HOD line is just knock off designer dresses the yellow one is Escada the one next to it looks like Marc jacobs the third looks like it could be Cavalli or Matthew Williamson lol I guess Tina figured she’d just copy others people stuff since she sucks at designing. I guess if you want a designer dress and don’t have Tracey Reese $ you could buy one. Or you could just hit up a Betsey Johnson boutique and get cute party dresses in a lower price range lol.

You can’t compare these crappy lines to Dior or Prada. That’s an insult to two incredible fashion houses. There are amazing black designers out there. We have Tracey Reese and Keevan Hall and even Puff is doing some amazing things with Sean Jean. Not even mentioning black shoe designers and jewlery designers.
If you want to support black there is plenty of quality to support, but these lines use cheap materials and sell them at ridiculous prices to urban (minority) people because they can.

OMG some of you really need to learn to chill yo. To Cookie or whatever your name is, every designer copies off of one another. Every single one! If you truly know anything about fashion you would know that. At least HOD’s relaunched line looks well put together, classy and feminine. I don’t know where you people shop down in country places like Virginia or the south but in NY it is typical to get dresses that are $300 and up even at places like Macy’s. I think the dresses are beautiful and I would personally rock the yellow one! I can’t wait to hit Bloomy’s and get it.
