The always eclectic Erykah Badu talks about life, music and love in a new interview with Giant Magazine. In the issue (set to hit stands on Feburary 11th), Erykah speaks on her exes, Common & Andre 3000:
Andre 3000 & Erykah have a son named Seven.
Common & Erykah when the were dating.
“I know about the backlash, the ‘Erykah Badu, if you look at her, she’ll make you change gods and wear crochet pants’ backlash,” she says. “But nobody looks at the things that those people have given to me.”
What have they given you?
“Just so much musical freedom. Common is the most humble person I ever met. Kind and generous. He reinforced that in me. Andre is very creative and artistic. All of that that you see of him, that’s all him. That’s how he is, and that gave me a creative push, too.”
Although Badu is fairly cryptic when discussing her old beaus, she allows this brief, whispered indulgence.
“With Andre, we were both very young, so we didn’t know what we wanted or anything. We just knew we were in love, and we didn’t care who saw us. With Common, it was a little bit more mature.”

I love Erykah, but she really needs to stop with these illegitimate babies. Seriously,do something with yourself and stop having us all wondering who your children’s daddies are. How can you be all “mother earth” and don’t even respect yourself as your kids’ mother.
You and Lauryn need to stop shaming yourself in the name of creativity. Sh*t, I’m creative and I don’t have any kids…especially out of wedlock. Why? Because I respect myself enough to protect myself. Being a single mother is wonderful and all, but I cannot stand it when those same chicks turn around and complain how there are no good men out there so they are forced to live this vagabond way. There are plenty of good men, you just threw them away in your youth.

I think I can speak for myself and alot of other folks when I say I for one am not losing any sleep at night wondering about Mizz Badu’s babies daddy’s , and I think alot of women and single mothers agree that they were better of disposing these mysterious droves of” good men” in theyre youth ! Im sorry I just cant stand self-righteous women they re my peeve espicially the ones who are ignorant enough to look at another womans life and assume to understand what shes been through and where she went “wrong”
I’m sure Dre and Common could be cool dudes as far as entertainers go , but the only ones who know the details of thier relationship and basically the only ones who should really care are the parties who were actually involved!

Does ne1 have proof Erykah’s 2nch child is with DOC? I bet my head for a football that it’s with Dre. Anyone notice in her new video, she replicates his Hey Ya! vidoe. Badu duzn’t seem like she wood have 2 baby daddies(not that there’s anything wrong with that)….I bet they are secretly back 2gether….just my opinipn;)
