I just want to say that with the state of music today anything new and refreshing is welcome. People need to sit back and enjoy the differences in the artists and not compare them to someone else. If everyone sounded the same, we wouldn’t need them.

You can’t compare Janet to Mariah, Beyonce, Mary, or anybody else. They all have different styles. If you look at the perfomance aspect of things, who does it better than Janet?

Honestly, I think some of the posters have wax in their ears, bc both songs are HOT to death…go on Janet!

I’m not feeling Rock w/ You, but hearing that JD produced that I understand why. I wish she would get as far away from that troll as possible.

But this song “Luv” is hot, its like old Janet but w/ an updated sound!

I’m feeling this and definitely will bump this, and even by the album despite that Jermaine has his hands on this project!

I think that LUV is hott and it sounds like something for a movie soundtrack. Janet and Erykah can get my 9.99 @ Best Buy! I’m not too sure about Mariah’s stuff–never been a fan to be honest.

I just hope that Janet puts on a bomb ass tour because I want to go to at least one tour of hers before she starts to retire.

I know she said strobe lights… I said strawberries because they’re typically “sexy” and in that way a literal interpretation of the song… The thing is the song makes me think of an LSD high…the senses heightened and colliding (I’ve heard) and it makes sense that you should taste sounds and feelings…the dance floor is a literal interpretation of that…the party goers represent the sense of touch, the song obviously is the sound, and strawberries (and other things..other fruit, maybe) represent taste…it’s wacky…but I think it would work. I want in on this video, seriously!!!

I think the Janet Syndrome (not saying that in a negative way), much like the Beyonce Syndrome (again, not saying it negatively!), has hit hit CL well and truly. Fans and dissenters alike!

If someone says they don’t like one of the singles the individual is entitled to his or her own opinion. Music is subjective. I personally love both songs and that’s my personal opinion. However, my views are no more valid then anybody else. All I know is I am a die hard Janet Jackson fan and I am purchasing the album anyway. I just hope this new CD “Discipline” is better then 20 Y.O. I think 2O Y.O. is perhaps Janet’s worst album ever. I just hope the rest of the tracks on this new CD are hot.

why does she sound so nasal on luv damn! i like the beat but i”mnot feelingjanet on it. rock with u is big tho discipline should be good but if that is the tracklistings its too long album usually run out of steam when they are that long like mjb growing pains i think 15 songs is enough for a good solid album.
