I was randomly reading Pharrell’s blog today and peeped his post about Kelis’ video “Get Along With You”. He said: Kelis might have been a little early in her career to pull this off but she should still get credit, it was a great video! So true, and I should mention that was my jam back in the day. Weirdly, it was announced this week that Kelis will be releasing a “Hits” album featuring “Get Along With You” and many of her other innovative hits. Coincidence? I think not.
KELIS – THE HITS will feature a 14-song overview of her career. Pick up a copy on March 11th via Star Trak/Jive/Legacy.
KELLY GOES DIGITAL
According to Rap-Up, Kelly Rowland will release a digital album on March 25th. It will be called Diva Deluxe and five of the songs are new and two are remixes from her lackluster album Ms. Kelly.

Kelis is so underated and underappreciated! HELLO?! homegirl has had 4 successful albums overseas. I had to specially order her 2nd CD Wanderland- which is the hottness. On every one of her Cd’s shes gots hits and songs that would have made over here in America if her record label cared!
Besides, Jive is putting out this Hits CD to fulfill her contract and get their money cuz they know its gonna sell all around the world (mayb not so much here) but they will still get their dollars, pesos, euros, dubis, all that shit.

i feel bad for kelly. she seems like a nice girl. But sweety give it a rest. Call ya girl B and have her on like 3 tracks that way u are assured to make money off it! sorry, but at this point u should call in a favor. Jay-z something. anything. i just think ppl are over the nice humble girl act. its old. buy a clue.
Kelis is sooo slept on . She has had more than two hits and she is more popular oversees than over here. Stuff that I have seen her do 4 or 5 years ago is what people are doing now. I give her credit for stepping out the box. I hope she goes independent and puts out a album on her own.
I have no comment for Kelly. What’s hasn’t been said about her situation? She doesn’t give up though. I give her that. Good luck to her.
Kelis’ music is just off the chain!! Creativity wise she beats out a lot of R&B female singers. America is too simple-minded to understand her vibe. And anyone who says she only got one hit–check out her lists of HITS in Europe and the UK! She’s popular across the Atlantic since music left of centre is appreciated unlike here where they wanna box you into a category. Get Along With You is AMAZING. And the video is unreal it reminds me of that Tamia video for Imagination.
Kaleidoscope was nothing short of breathtaking. U need to hear the tracks Mafia and Suspended off that album!!
And Young, Fresh And New from Wanderland (shelved in the US) is too hot. That line “runaway from…HOME!” is quite memorable.

I love kelly… But seeing her in the car filming brought back some distrubing memories of Left eye’s final moments. I wishing i had never seen that on VH1..
@ 19.. I remember the “Box”!!! I used to watch that channel all the time to see the latest music videos back in the day. This was a hot video and I loved the song.
On another note, I definitely agree that Kelis is underrated as an artist. I remember between 99-2002 she was featured on everyone’s song singing the hooks. One of my favs was Busta Rhymes’s hit “what it is right now”. Anyway, the first studio album that I purchased was “Kelis was here” and I thought it was a solid cd and the songs that I burned from her album “tasty” was good too. I’m glad that Jive is releasing a greatest hits album, because it signifies that her contract is over. Now, she can move on with her music and either search for a new label or take the independent route. I wish her all the best. I have faith that the next time Kelis releases something we won’t be disappointed.

Kelly needs to face the fact that she’s just not a solo artist. She doesn’t even believe it herself–you can tell by her confidence level. She’s too busy trying to follow in Beyonce’s footsteps, but instead needs to follow what’s in her own heart.

gosh people, you just pick certain people and hate on them so much these two girls are very good at what they do stop hating its sooooo unfair. you all downloaded kelly’s songs when they are posted on this site for free and still diss the girl. at least the people in Europe appreciate her. give the girl a chance and quit the hating and name calling.
Im so appreciating the love for Kelis. She is 4 albums and much critical acclaim deep with her work. I will definitely be adding this greatest hits to my collection. I look forward to her next feature LP.

Kelis is BRILLANT! It’s a shame small-minded americans don’t appreciate her music. Hopefully, people will catch on, one day. I’m just so sick of everything sounding alike. As for Kelly, I wish her good luck!
