If you caught this week’s episode of Making the Band 4, you saw that Danity Kane went toe-to-toe with Diddy and the Bad Boy A&R to fight for a different, more pop and dance-driven sound. I’ve always felt that was the direction that the girls should be taking on their new album, Welcome to the Dollhouse, due out March 18th.
“Bad Girl,” (rumored to feature Missy Elliott) was written by Mary Brown and Jimmy Beanz and produced by Danja Handz. Word is “Poetry” is one of the few ballads that is to be featured on the album.
The last snippet to leak was “Striptease,” which sounds like a Timbaland or Danjahandz production, which I am really digging so far. When I spoke to D. Woods in January, she revealed that they also worked with The Clutch and Bryan-Michael Cox, so they have a host of A-List producers and writers. Not only that, the girls also got to write on the album themselves. I’m excited.

Ok first of all…..LOVE ALL THE SONGS!!!!….LOVE THE SHOW…HELL I JUST LOVE THEM!!…..However, am I the only one who is tired of hearing “Retarded Ass Diddy” in either the intro of these songs or at the end?..i mean we really can not listen to any songs without him saying something on a track…..that includes, B5, Day 26 and Danity Kane….i mean who the hell told him that he has to say anything…when i listen to the full version of Damaged by DK this fool messed up the dam ending…..He just dont know how to sit back and shut the hell up and let his artist do there jobs…u dont see any other artist on his album talkin and shyt…
These tracks are hott!! These chicks have so much potential. I’d like to see if they can eventually live up to it.

From watching MTB4, Danity Kane finally realize their talent and I really like them as a group. They seem to get along well and are their to support each other. I know the music sales isn’t what it use to be but they can still be successful. I have really grown to like them and their personality. I will cope the cd.
better than i thought i’d be. i think if they take more control over their own music, they’ll do better but i’m not sure if that whole fighting for tracks thing was even real. chances are diddy set that up b/c ppl seem to like “rebellious” artists

Poetry is the only song I like. Pop music to me is bubble gum music for kids and the whites… I am still a R&B fanatic! We need to find a way to save true R&B music. I’m sick of hearing this Brittney Spears type of music on my radio stations…

Bad Girl is FIYAH! Striptease is hot as well. It was definitely produced by Danjahandz or Timbo’s camp. I’m very exctied for the cd to drop I cannot wait.
I like the direction they are moving into. They will have a wider fan base. This music is very appealing to a lot of people, especially in other countries, so they’ve definitely tapped into another market.
I like the show, but yea Im feelin Poetry…would like to hear more of Striptease…

quite impressed, esp with the “poetry” joint. got a free copy of the first cd, and was also surprised. take it for what it is; the girls do the pop thing very well. too bad that damn show is taking away from their credibility as artists. o well, free promotion/publicity is a great trade off.
I was very skeptical about Danity Kane’s direction for their second album. Damaged had to grow on me! It’s definitely a hot record….it’s even better when they perform it live(search for the YouTube video). The record is turning out to be a very uptempo pop record which is great because they have an incredible chemistry! The snippets are hot and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.

I’ve been feeling Bad Girl since I heard it on Monday’s episode of MTB. That
opera-esque intro is so addictive and the rest of the song goes good from there.
Poetry has also been something I’ve been wanting more of since I’ve seen it on TV. It’s a hot track and I love me some DK ballads (I hope theres more even if they want a DANCE record) Striptease is gonna have to grow on me, but its not anything real bad…jus gonna take a few more listens.
