NEW MUSIC FROM MARIAH CAREY
Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Mariah Carey finally has dropped her new single from her 11th studio album, E=MC². Emphasis on the word finally. From several sources, I have heard that Mariah has some risky records on the album, but it seems like they have chosen to stick with the typical Mariah-esque sound for the first single, “Touch My Body.” I have to say that I’m torn - I wanna like it, but I have to probably listen to it some more for it to grow on me. I’m hoping that Mariah releases something a little more edgy for her second single. Perhaps the T-Pain featured “Migrate,” which we’ve heard so much about.
Check out Mariah’s official site for more information on her new album, or her MySpace to listen to more tunes.

well unlike Janet (yeah I brought Janet into this) Mariah has the vocal skills, so you can ignore her desperate attempt at staying young and relevant by taking off her damn clothes! I think it kinda cheapens the artist for them to show so much sexuality. it is like they are jumping up and down like a little kid saying look at me. Mariah was so classy when she first came out and I know that was part of her husband’s image for her, but it made her a little bit more respectable.

Poor Mariah, she’s devoted so much time to knowing every word in the English lexicon and she goes and sings the most grammatically tragic shi* just so teens will dig her. Whatever. I can loathe that she’s so low brow with it these days, but I can never say she can’t sing. Actually, I just listen to her voice, the way it rises and falls…I don’t even listen to the words…it’s like some curious instrument…So, based on the fact that she’s got supernatural vocals, I’ve got to listen to everything she does. I hope it gets to #1.

This is a Ciara or Janet sounding track, Mariah’s got a voice so this is disappointing as the first single. For us die hard Mariah fans this is more like a track on the CD that we like, but it’s not single material. I been down with Mariah since Vision of Love, even Glitter ok…stronger single is needed. I can already see the video touching her body showing one side of her face with that damn butterfly ring on.

aye one thing that sucks is how yall love to compare artist. There will never be just artist, there is no real competition because everyone is different. I mean the radio plays the same 40 songs in rotation so you can have everybody.
I knew someone was going to compare Janet with Mariah, but they are both great on their own. And how soon yall forget that Mariah flopped, we were all busting on her and said she would never made it then emancipation came out.
Fucking drone sheep. Make up your minds. Be thankful these damn people share their talent with you in the first place. Respect them. If you don’t like the music. Don’t listen.
Anyway, my opinion. Song is weak and average, BUT she is a great artist. This may be strategy. Get us talking, expecting more, craving more, then a banger will come. That’s how it works.
At the end of the day both Janet and Mariah are worth over $150 million have awesome careers. That’s what counts.

A shit load of Janet’s stans are hating on Mariah’s new single. There is no surprise there. I guess the fact that Feedback is a flop, and TMB is more likely to become a bigger hit bothers them. I personally like the song better than “RWU, and “Luv”. I’m glad the majority agrees that TMB is hot. Hopefully Mariah will follow the song up with a bangin club banger. I also agree with Brian. We should get Migrate” as the 2nd single. Or “I’m That Chick You Like”.
I think people should give the song a few more listens, before giving an opinion. It’s hot. I just wish Mariah would’ve displayed her vocals a bit more.

Please remember that Mariah Carey’s FIRE single is usually her second one, and I have to somewhat agree that I expected more out of this Mariah and Dream collabo BUTTTTTTTTTT the song is ENJOYABLE and that’s what I think they were looking for…… let’s remember “It’s like that” and then “We Belong Together”, case closed. Mariah has always brought heat and there’s no denying that. One.

I was just stating the obvious fact about the situation with Janet and Mariah. they are both women who have had great careers in the younger days, and both are now trying to make a strong comeback, even though Mariah’s last album was much more successful then the last two from Janet. Don’t worry #26 Janet will appreciate it when you buy her CD

Straight up…This song isn’t even 1/2 as interesting to listen to as “Feedback”, much less “LUV”.
It is SO UNFAIR that Janet won’t even get an opportunity to shine but Mimi can just LEAN BACK and come out all low-key, make some elementary, simple shit and get to the Top 5 (The more I listen, the less I think “Touch My Body” is #1 material …).
One thing I can say is that Mariah’s vocals are so.much.more improved compared to “Mimi.” I can hear that “Daydream”-era tone again, and I’m very impressed. Good for her!
Too bad the song is not THAT hot.

#48 Nothing was ever wrong with mariah’s voice…she is purposely underperforming. And, people don’t like to talk about this but she’s always dieting and getting lipo…she seriously looked uncomfortable that year at the BET awards when she stank…it looked like she hadn’t eaten and had gotten 10 gallons of slush out of her just before the curtain call. But, when you hear this song, you can tell she’s still got it…you can also hear where she’s trailing off purposely…I hate that she won’t belt one out anymore, but teens like shi* about booties and little else, what are you gonna do?

MC’s last album was also much more successful than her two albums that came out before IT! MC just got her career back on track and for that I’m thankful because I’m a fan. But lets not act like she hasn’t had her share of flops in the past as well. between 2001 and 2004 nobody was checking for Mariah at radio or in record stores. What will we remember 5 days from now? What from this generation? Seriously… Everybody’s on Mariah right now…sure the song DOES suck…but how does it differ from anything that’s been celebrated in recent years? The only thing that separates Mariah and other lauded gen-X divas is that she’s older…she can’t do all the ass dancing and if she could, nobody wants to see it because she doesn’t have an ass lol Just remember Beyonce got 5 Grammys in one night before you go criticizing Mariah… Sure she should do better but for her, because she CAN not because she is the only one mediocre artist…If she should be held up to yesterday’s standards, so should Beyonce, Janet, Rihanna, Amerie, Kelly, Ciara…NONE of these women have done anything worth mentioning…

this is horrible, even the lambs have to agree (I Agree with TY), Mariah has an incredible voice. Didn’t usher tell her to stop whispering and she would sell records and she comes out with this weak single. I blame LA REID, Mariah Carey is a Legand, and Icon who deserves respect and strong material. She has paved the way for the Beyonces, Ameries, Rihanna’s, etc…. How do u give her some dumb-sing-a-long where she sounds like can’t sing. Mariah is stupid too., i’m sorry lambs., all you fools were expecting her to bring out a “it’s like that” and KILL the end with those powerful vocals and she releases this stupid song which pics up where Charmbraclet left off…. this is sad, a very sad day for Mariah. This will NOT be a hit. You can wait on a We Belong Together ballad to save the day…but the Damage this will cause……..is already being done. LA REID ur a dummy. U damage Janet’s chances and now U ruin Mariah’s.

I personally Love the song after playing it like 5 times it is a very catchy song This really to me is a buzz song to get us ready for more to come from her just like “It’s Like That” did then she hit us with “We Belong Together” and we all know how that song did so I think she is going to drop a bangin ass 2nd single hands down
And Janet’s song Feedback is cool and all but I dont think that many ppl is really checking for her like that like ppl saying they are but who knows we will see when both of there albums drop and im buying Mariah’s first day it come out

It’s alright. Like everyone else, even the stans that are loving it, feel like there should be more. She’s coming off of her best album in years(Emancipation) and they, she should have dropped something better. Let’s not blame LA Reid because Mariah and Janet have both been in the game forever so if they’re not in control of their own careers this late in the game there is a problem. With that said does anybody else wish that Mariah and Janet would go back to when they was really shutting shit down? You know how Mariah would drop an album and the industry would follow suit, the same way with Janet? These are two trendsetting bitches and I want that power back for them. EITHER WAY I’M COPPING BOTH ALBUMS. I’LL DANCE WITH JANET AND TRY TO HOPELESSLY HIT ALL THEM DAMN NOTES MARIAH HITS( ALONE OF COURSE LOL)

people comparing mariah and janet are sort of immature- theyre both great artists in different ways. one is an amazing vocalist, the other an amazing entertainer- but they are totally different
this is a great album filler, not a single in my opinion

Its nice, it is, but it doesnt scream huge number #1 single. I didnt get the same feeling I got when I heard We Belong Together. I am a little disappointed though I feel like this is the same old recycle stuff she’s been singing for the last decade. I really wanted her to come a little harder. its WAY too safe she’s at the point in her career where record exects can take a bigger risk on her.

It will have to grow on me because the beat is kinda cheesy and whenever I listen to songs in my car, I tend to like them better.

Mariah Carey is THE Best selling female artist of all time. Her octive and vocal ranges has surpased many artists that come along after her and before her. She does not have to dance to sell because her talent and voice is enough. Unlike other artists *cough* Janet, Rihanna, Ciara*cough* Mariah writes all of her music. I don’t know why the comparisons are even made but if they must. I love the song. Similar to Emancipation of MiMi “It’s Like That” was cool for me but We Belong Together was official, the game was over, Mariah is back. I love Touch my body and I’m looking forward to hearing more material from the album.

THAT_BITCH has made just about the only honest comment I have read. It kills me how Mariah fans are on the attack with Janet when Mariah herself delivered 2 album flops and a movie flop. It wasn’t that long ago Mariah was a virtual nobody and other female artists were topping the charts and unlike Janet, Mariah wasn’t facing a MTV, VH1 and pop radio backlash. Had the Superbowl incident never happened Janet would still be making hits. But Black folks just salivate at the chance to bring down a legend like Janet when she is being punished for simply being Black, while Timberlake gets to play the King of R N B music. But Janet is such a star that Damita Jo, a brilliant Cd, was still CERTIFIED double platinum and 20 YO was CERTIFIED platinum. Now only a star could do that. Janet will soon have another #1 CD and she will be going on tour so you all who sit around wishing for her failure will just have to wait a little longer.
As for Mariah’s new song, it is ok and nothing special. Hopefully her second single will be the clincher just as it was with the Mimi CD. And I wish Mariah much luck and success because she deserves and has EARNED it.

Uh, maybe Rihanna and Ciara don’t write their own shit but the last time I checked for every album in Janet’s catalog minus the very first two(dreamstreet and janet jackson) and this latest one(Discipline) Janet has always wrote her shit right alongside Jimmy and Terry. So she may have to dance to sell but don’t try to squash her in there with the wannabes out now. WHy are we talking abot Janet anyways? lol This single is weak. She’ll get some radio airplay along with the video but it’s no number one hit that’s for sure, no matter how much it grows on you. Either way Janet, Mariah, Beyonce, and everyone else is two-steppin’ all the way to the bank on royalties alone!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s the real clown!! LOL

Both Mariah and Janet deserve success becasue they’ve worked so hard to get it, that you can’t deny. Janet’s doesn’t have Mariah’s voice but star power always translates. Mariah can’t work the stage like Janet but she can stand their flat-footed and make you wish for even a part of her vocal range. Two very different artist but both MEGA-successful, multi-talented, filthy rich and BLACK women doing what they do best entertain the masses and get paid well to do it!!!!!!!
On the single I’m dissapointed for two reasons. Lyrically it has to be one of Mariah’s weakest. Whoever above said Mariah has got a crazy vocab was not bullshiting and this makes me think of someone in junior high. 2nd beat wise it’s wack even for a mid-tempo song.Melodically it is very nice, I won’t remember it though a week from now

I don’t like the song. Mariah is talented but she needs to stop doing them kiddy tracks. People will give their right nut to be able to sing like her.
I dunno why janet and ciara are brought up but they certainly DO write their own music. I’m aware ciara has a separate deal for writing and 5 ASCAP awards to back it up if anyone needs proof. idk about rihanna but i doubt she writes her own music… so freaking talentless.

Some people here need to calm the fuck down. TMB is just a little mid tempo tune. I guarantee you that Mariah will bring it with her second.
Janet unfortunately is still being blacklisted. If it wasn’t for that, I’m sure Feedback would have been a smash. The thing is that Janet needs radio. If radio is hardly playing her music, then how do we expect it to sell? She really needs radio. Not just television.
Radio and the charts should do well by TMB. I’m sure IDJ will drop another single right before E=MC2 drops.

I have to agree with Mariah fans. I think The Dream wrote this song for her because her writing skills are so much better than this lol. If you don’t know, listen to the “Butterfly and “Rainbow” albums I’ve noticed that her vocabulary is expansive. Well with that said, I think this single is an average song. Mariah’s vocal producing was very good on this record however the lyrics were lacking. Maybe the album would be better though. Oh yeah no need to put my girl Janet down. These two are totally different. You guys need to calm down and take your meds with Chris Crocker because these women have always sold records and did the damn thang! Mariah is a vocalist/songwriter and Janet is a performer/songwriter okay get it right bitches and stop looking foolish defending these women on who is better? It’s really childish

BLENDER REVIEW OF MARIAH’S NEW SINGLE:
MARIAH’S NEW SEX TAPE=THEMED SMASH
WHO: Mariah Carey
WHAT: “Touch My Body”
WHY: While Mariah’s new album, E=MC2, is set to be one of the year’s biggest, this introductory single is downright subtle - yet effective. Co-written by The-Dream and produced by Tricky (a.k.a. the dudes behind “Umbrella”), “Touch My Body” rides the same never ending snap blueprint T-Pain used to brilliant effect on last year’s feather-light super hit “Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin’).” You won’t mind hearing it on the radio and TV every 10 minutes for the next few months - this thing sooths as it repeats. Here, Mariah is focused on one thing: “Come on and give me what I deserve and touch my body,” she coos. And make no mistake, she wants to be touched on her terms only: “Cause if you run your mouth and brag about this secret rendezvous, I will hunt you down.” She even thinks about the possible ramifications of her touchy tryst when she sings, “If there’s a camera up in here then I best not catch this flick on YouTube” (nevermind the fact that the video in question would never get past YouTube censors). A pop genius making genius pop.

“TOUCH MY BODY” REVIEWS
Tuesday, 12-Feb-2008, 8:22PM EST
Erik Bradley
Music Director, B-96, Chicago, IL
“‘Touch My Body’ picks right up where The Emancipation Of Mimi left off. It’s another classic Mariah mid-tempo SMASH with a hook that will stick with you for days. The reaction to it thus far has been incredible…I believe at the end of the day this will be Mariah’s 18th #1 single. I’ve heard many of the songs on E=MC2 and not only is it full of killer songs, I feel it stands just as tall (perhaps taller) than T.E.O.M. Here comes another 10+ million worldwide sales and more time at the top of the charts for MC!”

Here is my take on this. First off, I love the title. It’s genius. E=MC2 means Emancipation=Mariah Carey to the second power. It’s a good song but not great. The melody is catchy and I like her tone, it reminds me of the Daydream era a la Always Be My Baby. She didn’t vocally bang out the end of the song, her songs always build vocally but this one doesn’t go far which is what I think is missing. Mariah only co-wrote this that’s why the lyrics are more urban. I still like the lyrics though, not Shakespeare but decent. It’s a safe pop record which is what I think they are going for. I hear album consists of mostly uptempo songs and I was hoping she would have released a stronger more uptempo lead single. I’m sure there are stronger/better songs on the album because LA said he is planning to release six singles from this album. I’m waiting for the big power ballad. They only played ten songs at the listening parties so I’m sure they have some surprises. As for Janet, she is a legend herself and shouldn’t be brought up to make Mariah look better. They both bring different things to the industry and I hope they both do well. LA better put in that overtime.

Yep! lol Mariah is the girl and I think she chose The Dream to write this song for her because he is the hottest songwriter right now. Ever since he wrote “Bed” and “Umbrella” the man has taken off lol. I still think his writing is subpar but I can’t hate on the man living out his dream and what does it matter people like it and it’s gain him popularity and money lol. That brother getting paid. So I guess Mariah is just watering down her style to what’s hot to get a hit. Soon she might let Keri Hilson write for her or the clutch maybe. Yep she reaching it out to the pop listeners and a different generation too.

Nope. In terms of the production - it sounds like every other song she has recorded in the last ten years. Vocally it’s seriously lacking. She left us with very high expectations after The Emancipation of Mimi, and so far she’s not meeting them. Hopefully the next one is a banger.

It’s ok - but i never get the full effect on the computer. when i hear it in the whip or in the club bangin i’ll probably like it - it’s the same way I felt about we belong together. sometimes simple and easy is the way to do it. i certainly don’t want to hear a whole record full of wailing and blowing. gotta have lighter songs too to keep me listening. we all know the woman can sing if you listened to TEOM. i’m not the hugest fan, but i know i enjoyed several of the faster songs and slower ballads on that album - and i’m sure she’ll deliever to her fans again.

I like the song. it’s not her best song, and it does not show any artistic growth but its a cute song. I think in this song she’s just trying to be contemporary with what’s going on today. The lyrics and vocal skills are kind of dumbed down on purpose but sometimes I don’t feel like listening to socially conscious music. Sometimes I want to here physically conscious music, and Touch My Body is interesting in that is shows off Mariah sensual sexy side. I’m sure there will be better songs on the album.

I think the song is great. I don’t understand that Mariah vs Janet ish especially considering that they are two completely different artists who respect each other. *shrugs* I love them both.
Anyways, for those who say that Mariah isn’t taking a risk I would have to disagree. Mariah’s risk taking is in the fact that she is not in her 20’s anymore and has put out a record that is adapting to what is hot right now.
That in itself is a risk- adding on to the fact that Mariah is an amazing vocalist who decided NOT to showcase her many octaves, heck she didn’t even do one of her trademark whistles (lol). It may not be seen as much of a risk as say her cutting off her hair and doing can-can moves but its a risk nonetheles. We all know how older women (and I say that with all due respect) are more criticized than their male counterparts.

I LOVE it! Yes, its typical, safe Mariah music, but I love her music so its ok. Plus, remember with Emancipation, she came out with “Like that ya’ll” which wasn’t so great, but then blew us away with “We Belong Together”, so I ‘m sure she’ll have many more tricks up her sleeve.

Re: 122
You need some medicine for those coughs? Because Janet writes her own music too. For someone you claim doesn’t write their own songs, she sure does won a few ASCAP Songwriter of the Year awards LOL.
Re: 70
What the F was that? lol @ you grouping Janet with Beyonce, Rihanna, Ciara, etc. SMH. I’m tired of that shit. WTF is wrong with people? You CANNOT put Janet Jackson with those names. These same people who hold this stance do not do that for Mariah Carey, yet Janet came out before her by 8 years! You saying that hypothetically if they were held up to yesterday’s standards…JANET JACKSON IS FROM THAT GENERATION. Come the F on now. NONE of these woman have done anything worth mentioning? Janet hasn’t done anything worth mentioning?
Hmm…Now I DIDN’T want to do this, but you asked for it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Jackson#Tours
The Rhythm Nation 1814 Tour was Janet Jackson’s first worldwide tour in support of her multi-platinum smash album, Rhythm Nation 1814 before flying into Japan on May . The tour started on March 1, 1990 at the Miami Arena. The tour was a 9-month long venture. Criss-crossing the U.S.1990. The Japan tour was her first experience of foreign audience. She sold out shows in that country, most impressively, the 48,000-capacity Tokyo Dome with four shows, which still holds the record for the fastest sell out in the history of the Tokyo Dome, a record seven minutes. Then she also sold out shows in Hong Kong, her only Southeast Asian tour venue. She flew back to North America to wrap up remaining shows before flying to Europe. She performed in England, The Netherlands, and more with many sold out shows, ending the year with a bang.
# The Rhythm Nation Tour appeared in 25 countries.
# The tour opened with a sell out show in Miami.
# Beginning in March 1990, the Rhythm Nation Tour ran a full nine months and performed over 120 shows.
# The 5-date LA shows sold out in a record of 48 minutes.
# Janet collected 25 cents from each ticket sold in some of her shows and donated an accumulated $450,000 to the United Negro College Fund for the Rhythm Nation Scholarship.
# In the end, the tour spawned numerous sold out shows around the world and attracting over 2 million fans. This made the Rhythm Nation World Tour the biggest debut tour by any artist in history. The tour grossed over $28.1 million in the U.S. alone and it became one of the ten best grossing concert tours of 1990.
I DIDN’T WANT TO DO IT BUT YOU ASKED FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@THE FLOACIST At least we know Janet sure has been shutting shit down for the last 25 years and not just dropping albums. lol Really though was all that necessary? lol BACK TO MARIAH The single is cool, I’m not gonna be humming it in my sleep anytime but it’s a nice little diddy for the boppers. I’m sure like LA Reid said they’ll be dropping about 6 singles, at least try too, off this album. I’m still copping Janet and Mariah. Like someone posted earlier, I’ll be dancing with Janet and trying to sing like Mariah the rest of the year.
-SIDEBAR-JANET HAS MORE BILLBOARD AWARDS THAN MICHAEL AND WHITNEY? WELL SHE HASN’T BEEN MICHAEL’S LITTLE SISTER IN AWHILE. LOL GET ‘EM JANET

THIS SO IS GARBAGE, “if you tell… I will hunt you down” what the hell? I am mad she let this ish leak. Can we say you better go back to the studio and try again this is more like the “Imitation of MiMi.” I’ve never liked confused about who you are, found black years later when it became cool, Mariah Carey, but I will not deny that chick can sing but lately her lyrics and voice have been mediocre. Where is the voice? And I do not mean the high pitch note she thinks is golden I mean the range she usually sings on ballads I haven’t heard that ish since 1994 Hero. Come on Mariah.
the one has spoken….NOW SHUT THE BACK DOOR.

I’m feeling the title she finally chose for the album, so that in itself has peaked my interest.
The song is just ok. This is really radio friendly,so I can see why it was chosen as a first single. With Emancipation, the whole was definitely better than it’s individual singles. MC knows she has to come with fiyah on the CD.
I just hope the video won’t be the standard Mariah videos *YAWN*

Not feeling this at all. She needs to stop with the corny 16 year old lyrics. Its not cute!!! I hope she does better with her second single because if not, ppl will be VERY disappointed and Mariah’s ass will go back to Glitter days circa 2001, and I for 1, don’t want to see that happen again! Better luck next time Mimi…

This track is kosher….. but I think it sounds like an intro or an interlude for the next hot song on the album. Almost like it’s about to introduce the HOTTEST track on her album. I like it though.
What’s funny to me is that Mariah hasn’t lost her fans- with her crossing over and all. think about it. When Tommy first introduced her, she was Pop, like when Clive marketed Whitney. And the success went through the roof! But when they seem to cross into mainstream of what I like to call R&Pop, Whitney didn’t do so well. Take Michael Jackson’s Invincible. I loved Floetry written “Butterfly”. As most of us R&B heads today, loved that album. But critics killed it. Janet teamed with Nelly, we saw for ourselves what happened to her album.
So all is to say……..
I like the song, but what I said in the beginning still stands

Love this track my girl is bizaaaaaaaack.
I cant wait to hear this in the club with my drink in hand and flirting with a cute guy, or poolside with a hot lil bikini on.
Such a sexy breezy joint.
And love the album title very creative.
As for the Janet and Mariah hemming and hawing, i think it unfair both ladies are known for two totally diff things, but women are tralblazers, pioneers, and our generations legends , i’m glad both ladies are back with what seems to be some good spring summer music.

i like it. i’m glad she didn’t oversing this song.
it sounds playful….almost like foreplay.
don’t need her vocals climaxing on a song that probably isn’t meant for that purpose.
ya dig?

This song is catchy…Mariah knows how to work a hook, it’s pretty and the melody is contagious. Yes, the lyrics are a little young, but the song is playful and not too obviously sexy….I like the metaphors, I like the subtly.
Mariah is going to come with the fire the second single, what ever it is, no doubt. But this is a nice, solid introduction to her new album.
Big Up Mariah!

NI@@@AS KILL ME!!!! HOW YOU COMPARING JANET AND MARIAH. TWO DIFFERENT SOUNDS AND TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF SUCESSES. NO ONE TURNS ON A JANET TRACK WHEN YOU WANNA HEAR SOMEONE SING THEIR HEART OUT. THATS WHAT MARIAH IS FOR. ON THE FLIPSIDE, NO ONE TURNS ON A MARIAH VIDEO OR GOES TO A MARIAH CONCERT TO SEE A OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE. THATS WHAT JANET IS FOR. IT’S LIKE COMPARING APPLES AND ORANGES. IT’S LIKE COMPARING CIARA AND MONICA. TWO DIFFERENT STYLES! BTW THE TRACK IS AT BEST AVERAGE! I WAS HOPING FOR MORE.

MARIAH may write her own lyrics.. but they all sound the same, premature, immature, corny, and typical.. her LYRICS have never impressed me.. it sounds like something a highschool girl can come up with..
and this song is cute. but i really expected better… especially since she was bragging on her music. .and how much she is in love with the album..
and she serious needs to humble herself.. before this album becomes a flop..

for those already labeling this album a flop….i hope people judge y’all based off the first word/sentence outta ur mouth too.
lol.
folks ask for her to sing about something more than rainbows…candy….little girl shyt.
now the woman’s singing about the same shyt grown women be thinking about (if not saying)….being a little more sexual than what she’s used to & whatnot…..and she’s still getting booed. youtube, kinda corny, yep….but guess what, it’s completely relevant to 2008. wendy williams reference, corny, yep……still relevant though (esp. to those who live in NY….like MC).
lol.
folks are funny.
ion know about y’all…..but my life doesn’t follow the same script everyday. ion wanna hear the same message in my music over & over either.
i know this much though…..if she came out w/ another WBT type ballad…..people would be clowning on her for singing the same type of song. she can’t win for losing, and i’m sure she knows this.
so, do what u gotta do MC. you can’t please everybody all the time. but for what it’s worth…..i like it.

I don’t understand why anyone would think ALL of mariah’s song are corny and immature? How about Fly Like a Bird, We Belong Together, My Saving Grace and so many more. She is a living Legend and is just keeping up with the times. I guarantee this song will be No 1 just like her album will.
