R&B crooner J. Holiday is setting to rerelease his album, Back of My ‘Lac with a couple of extra tracks as a deluxe edition. ‘Lac has already been certified gold and his first singled, “Bed” lit up the charts last summer and had everyone going. “Sooner You Get To Love” is a nice slow jam – it has that sound on his album that I love on songs like his second single, “Suffocate.” Very ’90′s of him. The rerelease of J. Holiday’s album is set to drop next week, on February 5th.

Jordin Sparks is releasing this beautiful duet with Chris Brown as the next single. A video has already shot for the Underdogs-produced “No Air.” Even though it took me a minute to get into “Tattoo,” “No Air” was definitely the selling point for me. Jordin Sparks has a beautiful voice and this song showcases her vocal ability so well. I think this is a good look for the both of them, especially her, since Chris Brown is on everything these days.

I’m feeling “No Air”.. Jordin Sparks voice flows nice over it. Chris Brown needs to get some BASS in his voice. He’s 18 but to me he still sounds like he complaining.. Don’t get me wrong I love Chris, his albums have been exceptional but his voice needs some deepness!

jordin like everyone else said is plain boring. her looks are boring, just another pretty/average girl, her voice bores me, she can sing yes but she doesn’t have a spectacular voice, she just has one of those “i’ve been working with a voice coach since i was 5″ type voices , and her songs are lackluster, filler pop songs

J. Holiday doesnt have presence to me. I like him , it just something about him that doesnt draw me into him. Maybe it’s because he’s not a soulful singer… he could have been on American Idol… Spekaing of American Idol, that Jordan Sparks song is cool w/ Chris Brown, it has been in rotation since November on the mainstream radio stations. She doesnt really appeal to me either, she lacks depth, I know she is a young singer but think about how we all was diggin Brandy and Monica when they first came out. Just not a fan

Jordin’s song is nice.
No Air is okay. Neither sound terrible on it, but Jordin sings (a lot) better than Chris in that song. Her label should’ve found a stronger male vocalist on that track. That said, this is the best I’ve heard Chris Brown sing. His voice is usually nasal-teen-cutie-pie sounding.
I could’ve sworn this song was called “A love of Your Own?” oh well, either title i still LOVE this song (even made it a ringtone)!!! this was my favorite song on the album, i would listen to this song repeatdly and just forget about all the other ones. Love some J.Holiday.

I love the no air song only because his chris brown. And yes I am a big supporter of Chris Brown so I love his music. Honestly when he sings he makes me want to cry because I feel his passion when he sings. Jordin annoys the hell outta me and I didn’t want her to win american idol. I am really feeling no air! I am not really a jordin sparks fan but I am a huge Chris Brown fan and this song is truly increible. They both defintely did their thing on it.
I think the point of the re-releases is to gain more attention to these artists many of whom are putting out good music that people either have not really heard about or didn’t buy it because they incorrectly assumed the person is a 1-hit wonder. I personally both both J. Holiday & Jordin Sparks albums the weeks they came out because I try my hardest to support good music of all genres & I am a music lover in general & have mad respect for real art. That being said, I love both these cuts & both these artists (Jordin can BLOW dontcha know) & my favourite is No Air & I have been playing it non-stop lol. Love romantic songs, an art so lost of the weak minded these days.
i honestly cant stand that jordin girl, i dont get why she won AI- shes not that pretty at all, typically “commercially attractive” looking. and her voice is nothing special, she doesnt have a distinctive sound vocally- i could mistake her vocals for anyone elses.
i like jhol theres something about him, his music is soooo sexy. but im not feeling the song above.
instead of wasting time re-releasing albums artists should:
promote their albums the first time its released, do shitloads of great live performances.
if the first album doesnt do amazingly well then just go to the studio and make a better one, and work on better promotion for the new album

The J. Holiday track is my favorite. It was out way before his album and other stuff came out. I was mad it didn’t make the album but I guess it’ll get its round this time. The duet with Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown is nice too. One of the best collabs Chris has done.
rereleases piss me off……we anticipate when artist release cds, we go get them when they come out on Tuesdays, show them support, then we get screwed for being fans and being interested in buying the artist’s material

Up until now I was feeling J.Holiday. I am so upset with how wrong he did the hook from the The Average White Band classic “A Love Of Your Own”. He killed the feeling in that amazing song. That was awful.

Kelly Rowland said it best “opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one.” When I read some of these postings, it makes me wonder if many of these comments are constructive criticism or just plain out “hate.” Everyone is saying that Jordin Sparks is boring, so maybe if she was addicted to drugs, sleeping around hollywood, dating Chris Brown, or having a custody battle she would be more entertaining. Comment on the music, and not the person. If the song is wack, its wack…but this isn’t a debate of how interesting Jordin Sparks is, its a gauge of how good the song is. And I will have to respectfully disagree with some, and say that I actually like the song. Go figure….

I think that J. Holiday jam is actually entitled “A Love of Your Own”. When I first heard that song, J. Holiday hadn’t really made his mark yet. “Bed” had just leaked, and I could’ve sorn that was Mario singing. Is it just me or does he resemble Mario on a couple of notes?? Anyway, I’ve been bumping this joint for a cool little minute now. I just wished he would’ve put it on the album, or drop it as a single.
