i guess u have to be at a certain point in ur life to enjoy these songs here. :D

  11. The song is dope. Go Stokely and the boys. I missed Mint Codition. Can’t wait to hear the full album. Livin’ The Luxury Brown was the business. I’m just sad Keri Lewis is not part of the band anymore. But hey, they still sound great.

  12. This is real music right here. This crap on the radio can’t compare to some good ol R&B from the 90′s!! “U Send Me Swingin’” is one of my fave songs EVER!!! Glad they are back!

  13. bettyboopbbw

  15. GreatestLoveOfAll

    REAL MUSIC!!

  16. I’ve just realised that the version on their website doesn’t have Anthony Hamilton and I think it actually sounds much better. Don’t get me wrong, Anthony is one of my favourites, but I don’t feel a fully-fledged band featuring another musician on vocals. Oh maybe it’s because I thought Stokley didn’t get much singing time on the song with Anthony Hamilton, therefore didn’t really feel him that much.

  17. Harry James

OK! This is what I’m talkin bout. REAL MUSIC!

  18. pjoopear

Some of them recently were said to appear on the millionaire luxury club
“Meet Rich. com”. OMG!!! Are these famous guys fond of internet dating for now?? Maybe they are indeed so rich that they feel boring sometimes to need new things?

  19. Lunamoon

I don’t like the song and where’s the original members?

  20. JSCENE

Where the hell is Toni’s man!

I love the song…finally quality music where someone is not singing about sex….now all we have to do is support this type of music and send a message to the record producers that this is what we want to hear and have the kids listen to. If you don’t support this type of music and go out and buy them, then don’t fuckin complain about shit…..

  21. MSPENCE

Yes i agree with # 7..MC has never gone away..I still listen to Luxury Brown…Stokely’s voice, I swear it, gets better and stronger everytime…What an amazing talent these guys are…REAL MUSIC

  22. JSCENE

    @bouga

I agree…i like the version on their website without Anthony Hamilton better.

Mint Condition have a signature sound, they shouldn’t change or alter that in any way.

I wish all the good boy bands from the 90′s comeback. I mean i was a kid, but i remember what good music was. I loved Jodeci, why can’t they come back too.

  23. Dame

I listen to the verison without Anthony Hamilton I like it.

  24. Reccy

I LOVE THIS SONG! REMINDS ME OF MY BABY BOY!!!

  25. Their music has always been grown and sexy. I will NEVER get tired of “Breaking My Heart”(Pretty Brown Eyes), “Someone To Love” “You Send Me Swingin”;all my personal favorites.

    This track is so beautiful.

  26. vexxed

consistently GREAT music. Ladies and Gentleman, THIS is music. A LIVE BAND with actual instruments… Get it?

  27. vexxed

Stokely has one of the most beautiful amle voices out there and always has. He, himself is an instrument.

  28. vexxed

    amle=male… my bad

  29. Have Not Thought of a New User Name

I can’t listen but I remember them and if it sounds anything like their old stuff I’m on it. Good music making a come back.

  30. Tiffany

I love Mint Condition!! I remember when I was little I accidently broke my brothers MC tape he almost killed me lol..Now I know why, I have been a fan ever since then Love the song Love Stokley he is “So Fine”

  31. Sharonda

Been a MC fan for the longest!!!”You Send Me Swinging” “What Kind Of Man Would I Be?” “Pretty Brown Eyes” we can go on!I loving the song!

  32. I'ma youngn' only 19

but i love mint condition. There last album “luxury brown” released in 05 was so dope…I’ma definitely cop the new one.

  33. Hay

Toni Braxton done stole away with a band member and never returned him.

  34. JSCENE

Now see, i didn’t even know MC had a cd out in 05…and why, cause certain people’s marketing team is hogging all the radio time….i’m so sick of this trend…radio stations won’t play good music anymore…they just play the songs from the artists who’s marketing teams grease their paws the best…it’s sickening and we shouldn’t allow this. We should dictate what is played, and not these big artists marketing teams. I’m going satellite radio, cause i’m tired of these local dj’s acting all like celebrities picking and choosing the dumbest shit to play all damn day. They know how much power they have, they are the ones who dictate who getting a grammy cause if they play bullshit all day, that’s what’s getting nominated cause we hear it all day, so we think we like it…but the reality is, the better artists aren’t getting any air time, cause they not from that era where the dj’s are paid; this is some new age shit, and i’m sick of it.

GET THE F*CK OUT OF HERE WITH THOSE FAKE PHONY-ASS SPAM POSTS!

  36. Questioneverything

One of my FAVORITE groups! Pretty brown Eyes(Quit Breaking My Heart) is still on heavy rotation in my IPod..This song is HOT!

  37. MISSISSIPPI G_DDAMN

    @ JSCENE

    Perfect analysis – ’nuff said.

And I’m in agreement with all those who said that MC is a REAL BAND. I wish they would stop calling groups like Making the Band, N’Sync, Backstreet, etc., boy bands, because that is just what they are – singing GROUPS.

Bands play actual instruments. No wonder black music is in the lame state it’s in right now.

  38. Questioneverything

#39– JSceneI rarely listen to the radio. The only thing you hear on the radio is Alicia Keys screaming all damn day! have satellite radio and keep up with music blogs, my favorite artists myspace pages and Amazon.com. Check out Mint Condition’s -Livin’ the Luxury Brown. It’s a banger!!

  39. leosag

while this is a sweet song and I’m truly feeling the emotional intent behind it, it doesn’t say first single. But then again, maybe they aren’t trying to get all this mainstream radio play and just want to make good music. I loved what kind of man would I be and pretty brown eyes…so keep making that good music!

  40. JSCENE

    @42, 43, 44

Thanks…i truly think satellite radio is the new way to go….and maybe when enough of us tune out of these local stations, we can get their attention, and maybe they will once again cater to US, cause right now it’s all about them. They are outta control. It’s a shame you have to call in and BEG them to play something other than what’s in heavy rotation all day. They don’t even do “listeners requests” anymore, and why, cause that airtime is already paid for by you know who….and if anyone is wondering who these artists are, just listen to the radio, and listen to who’s played alllllllllll day long, even when the song is new and hasn’t been certified as a hit yet. It’s because the dj’s are paid to MAKE IT A HIT….And listen to who don’t even have a new cd out now, but yet, their cd from years ago is played heavily like the single was just released yesterday….that’s done to keep the artist fresh, relevant, and on our minds until the next release…..funny huh….I know this cause i know people who work for one of the most popular stations…and they laugh about this, they think it’s funny, but i don’t cause i thought we lived in a democracy…

  41. Sharonda

Dang, I remember when collecting albums was like a hobby, I don’t do it no more lol.Someone bring real music back.Such as Mint Condition. My “hits and oldies” barely play oldies. All they play is like things I would hear on the hip-hop stations.Dang, again.

  42. Lori

I love them, Definition of a Band is a classic!

  43. MISSISSIPPI G_DDAMN

    @ JSCENE

Again, I agree, but I think the big challenge here is that the age demographic that listens to today’s “Hot” stations are already programmed to accept the current music trends (canned, pro-tools-created music) and haven’t been exposed to enough diversity in the music they listen to. It’s a pretty sad state of affairs, so although I hope that your suggestion might make a difference, I doubt it. At least not to any devastating effect.

Just look at the amount the negative comments about Janet being “too old” to be in the game and that should give you an indication of the younger generation’s ignorance towards our musical legacy. When I was younger, all styles and ages of black artists was respected and played on the radio ( I grew up listening to WBLS in NYC and KSOL in San Francisco), as well as jazz and rock, and it’s pretty sad that younger listeners aren’t broadening their horizons. And with advent the internet, there really is no excuse!

But I do agree with you about satellite radio. You just gotta go to best source to get what you need.

  44. MISSISSIPPI G_DDAMN

And for the record, kiddies, we INVENTED those musical styles.

  45. Miss mikelah

    Absolutely Beautiful Song

  46. Have Not Thought of a New User Name

Now all we need is a original En Vogue, Toni Tony Tone, Blackstreet, Boyz 2 Men heck just bring everybody from the 90′s back lol

  47. JSCENE

    @mississippi g_ddamn

I agree to an extent, but you made a good point….you said when you were younger you listened to all types of music and enjoyed it…well today’s teenagers aren’t even being given that opportunity. I think if they did, they would respond just as you and i did.

I was a kid when mint condition was out, and yet and still i loved it. I just think good music is good music, and i think the really young kids out would respond to it if they heard it. The problem as i see it is that the music is being chosen for us. And i think that this new age thing foster’s the idea of Janet being old. I mean i expected that, cause all that they are being pushed are the youngest artists, and they are translating that into something being the “in” thing. But i think if given the choice, and artist having equal play time, i actually believe the teens would simply chose good music. The stellar artists like Tamia, Toni, i mean they don’t even really hear these artists on the radio; it’s no wonder they would have a negative attitude toward them as artists, calling them old, cause they seem misplaced when all they hear are cici and rhianna.

Just my thought, but i hear you. In the end, i think the state of music is just sad, i hate that radio stations take away our freedom of choice; how dare them, they should be ashamed. I hope MC can make it this time around; but if we were to roll the dice……i don’t have to tell you how this might turn out…that’s why it’s so important we go out and buy these cds instead of just listening to it and saying it’s a good one. When we buy, we put our money where our mouth is, and money always effect change.

  48. keishe83

    good. finally some real music

  49. candi

i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE mint condition!!!! i’ll support anything they do! :)

  50. irrational rationalist

    tru…

  51. sarahm

Hellloo, Mint Condition already made a comeback in the spring/summer 2005 with their CD Livin the Luxury Brown, which I loved. And I know at least one of the songs had been playing on the radio that year. I guess people haven’t been really following them.

  52. Ru

Well they did take 6 years off, so lots of fans may have lots track of them, but…..
They went independent in 2005. Started Caged Bird Records and released “Livin’ the Luxury Brown.” The album hit #1 on the Independent Album Charts and #11 on the US R&B charts. Not bad for the current state of the industry. They also dropped a live album in 2006. Pick them up if you don’t have them.

Oh and Sharonda collecting albums is still a hobby, for me anyways, lol. I buy what I like. I am ONE album short of my Stevie Discog, I will find that 1970 live album if it the las thing I do.

The song sounds great, either version, though the one without Hamilton has a slight edge.

    Have a great day all.

  53. Sanaa

    I LOOOOOVE Mint Condition!
