Pharrell Williams and his newest StarTrak protégé, Teyana Taylor behind the scenes on her debut music video. The 17 year-old filmed some scenes for the video in NY on Tuesday. I like her! I do hate her Diana Ross weave though and the song well, not my taste. She is young and selling bubble gum pop to kids, which is way more age appropriate than some of that other hyper sexual stuff they are listening.

Teyanna was one of my favs on Sweet 16. I loved the fact that she had her own individual eclectic style. As for her music, If Soulja Boy can put out trash like Crank Dat and Yahh!! and become a star, I am sure Teyanna can do a little better!

I always thought she was a cute girl. I always thought that was her hair too. After seeing her on Sweet 16, and seeing her mom, I just assumed she was of a mixed heritage. I thought that was her hair, but it does look just like a Diana Ross weave now that ya’ll mentioned it. What is her mom’s career. I always thought she was just fronted the party money from Pharell from her singing contract. Because, unless I missed it they never maid it clear who her mom was supposed to be. Her style is nothing new. All it is is American Apparel combined with a couple nylon jackets from Value Village thrift store and a couple Heatherette skirts. I know this child wants to come off as being innovative and unique..but there are chicks around my way who have scarier style and hair. I’ve seen of enough of that 80s rebirth style. Pharrell desperately wanted another Kelis….and this is what he found.
But Teyana seems very cool, down-to-earth, and she can dance her ass off. She has some big boobies for being so young,.
I’m really digging this chick. It was like at first sight. When, I saw her Sweet 16 she just had an aurora around her. She definitely stands out from other artists esp. around her age group. She’s versatile & has the TTP. Singing, dancing, & rapping. Her look is very unique and can be mistaken for ugliness however, she’s beautiful. As for the song, I like it. Not really obsessed with it, she’s recorded better songs. But, this is a good introduction for her into the music biz/scene. Ever since her show aired people really did Google this chick! I think she will change the game up tremendously & she’ll give Lil’ Mama a run for her money. Go ‘head Ms. Taylor!
