BUSH HOPES AFRICA VISIT HELPS BLACK VOTE
Advisers to President Bush hope his trip to Africa this month will lessen opposition to the administration among blacks and possibly assist GOP candidates with the black vote this fall.
According to a senior White House official, “The president really cares about Africa,” and Bush hopes to stress that by underscoring his commitment to spending millions to fight AIDS/HIV and other diseases as part of his ongoing programs to help the nations of Africa.
GOP strategists hope that black voters won’t be motivated to vote against Republican candidates when they see that Bush, as well as his party, have Africa’s best interests at heart.
President and Mrs. Bush will spend a week in Africa starting Feb. 15 visiting Benin, Ghana, Liberia, Rwanda and Tanzania. He will meet with the leaders of those countries to discuss how the U.S. can support the continuation of democratic reforms, respect for human rights and economic opportunities throughout the continent.

If you haven’t noticed, in the last two elections we DIDN’T get who we voted for. So I believe the least you can do is vote for the person who has your best interest at heart. If we voted with our minds instead of with what’s “going to happen” then we can make a change. We have to show that we aren’t going to take this anymore. At least make an effort.
And what have the democratic party done for you? I love who we/they love to sit around and talk about how fucked the republican party is, how dumb the war is but they (the democrats) won’t push to stop it. You know why, because they benefit from the war too. They all have to protect the interest of their friends (major American corporations).
Both Hilary and Barack have billionaire corporate backers, folks who stuff money into their pockets for their best interest. It’s all a business deal.
The thing about us is that we think in extremes, republican/democratic, black/white, male/female, up/down, right/wrong. If you haven’t noticed life is a gradient, there is a lot more between just the extremes. Start looking with a full spectrum, do your research outside of just Obama and Hilary. Weigh your options. If that’s who you vote for, cool. But at least make the decision for you and not because of what “they” want you to do.
