POLITICS: AMERICAN BLACKOUT
Monday, February 25, 2008
Check out the trailer for the 2006 documentary American Blackout, which chronicles the 2004 re-election of Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney to the U.S. House of Representatives and discusses issues surrounding alleged voter disenfranchisement and the use of voting machines in both the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections.
The film is being screened nationally. Visit American Blackout for showtimes. You can also view the documentary in its entirety on Google. (Thanks Niaa for the tip!)

People on my campus had a problem voting on Super Tuesday interesting…these polling places be pulling some foul moves, I’m from CA and about 6 Bay Area counties ran out of ballots and people had to wait on more to vote and before those people got to vote they had already claimed Hillary the winner. I was like what the how when everybody hadn’t even voted. smh
Can we get an update on whats going to happen to those votes Barack was robbed of in NY?

Cynthia McKinney is my girl, i hate how the black community did not fight for her when that whole slapping incident happened. You have to consider the bigger picture in these situations. You have to have known that white america responded to her so strongly because she was one of the congresswomen who represented the most threat in illiciting change in the black community. I hate sometimes how blacks don’t have that far sighted viewpoint, and only think in the now. No one came to her rescue and/or supported her. I was shocked to have conversations with some black people and to hear them openly criticize her…why can’t we stick together come hell or high water?

#3: Sources say the formal review of the New York results will not be completed for weeks, but major discrepancies between the vote totals have been confirmed. We’ll have to see what role this plays for the candidates once the final review is complete.
Peace and blessings,

I am from Memphis, and alot of people in my area didn’t get to vote as well due to the tornadoes we had at that time. But Hilary was pronounced the winner of TN, I’m thinking our vote would have made of difference for the people that didn’t get to vote!

Lol. She’d be dead already but it would be too obvious and she isn’t privy to any information that they fear the American people finding out about. These people in power don’t care if the populace knows that the 2000 and 2004 elections were rigged. That’s because every presidential (s)election has been rigged and every (s)election will be rigged. They know that the masses of people are such idiots that anything beyond the peoples’ scope of understanding is filed away under “conspiracy theory”, which allows the “elite” to screw the people over again and again. The people get what they deserve. Especially black people stupid enough to put their faith in this system. I give the sister credit for putting her life on the line for the truth’s sake.

I saw someone on here trying to hustle that nonsense on a thread awhile back in an attempt to invalidate the scriptures. The man behind that film is a satanist, a sun-worshipper. I’m not going to go too far into it because this is not the topic for that, but I have a few of his books and they’re good for edification on the history of pagan worship amongst the other nations, particularly the Egyptians, but that’s about it. The Most High had it that he allowed Satan to let worship of him shadow worship of the Most High and Christ in order to deceive the people, so that the true followers could be proven. What alot of brothers and sisters that indulge in Africanism don’t understand is that the white man exalts and teaches Africanism to our people because he knows that their practices go back to sun worship and that will throw us off because our people don’t know who we are.

And this film is coming right on time.
I’m always angriest when i feel that black people sit and rely on one black person emerging as a leader….i hate that! Why can’t more of us be effective leaders? Why can’t more of us stand up for ourselves in a proactive way? Why does one person have to stand out and risk their lives for so many in our race? That threat would not be there if there were more of us standing at once…..cause then the thought process would be, you can’t knock them all down, we must deal with this issue…..
One person standing up and a nation of black people standing behind them is the reason why Medger Evers, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., and many other civil rights leaders were assassinated because those on the other side felt that if these people were eliminated, then they could hush the rest of us up. More of us should stand up at one time then maybe Cynthia McKinney won’t be such a target for ignorance and rage.

Awesome! OMG this is comming to theaters! This movie is a catalyst for change.
The three minutes that I have seen of this movie was impactive. I am somewhat angry because African Amer. have fought so hard to vote thru blood sweat and tears. When we try to come together as a race and vote againt the Republicans we got side swipped again in Florida. I am so glad its going to be exposed in the national cinemas. Who produced and directed this documentatry.
I remember Cynthia McKinney. I never paid any attention to her stance. I only knew of her from Georgia and her french braids and a bow. To be honest, never was interested in politics until couple years ago… I found a new repect for this women as she confronted Congress also known as KKK in suits. I did NOT know that she was so vocal. I did not know the circumstances behind her district being rezoned. This woman is very strong and courageous to take on such a leadership role. I would love to hear much more about her in future post… Thank you J. Drakar for your political enlightenment!

I hear you, I recently just saw it and I’m not trying to bring any more attention to it. However, if you can get past the blasphemy, parts 2 & 3 have some interesting information on politics, war, and currency. Don’t know how much of it’s conspiracy theory or valid, that’s why I asked what your thoughts on it were. Another thing, I can’t decipher which agenda he is trying to push. Like is he using the religious stuff to promote his agenda for Americans to wake up and realize what’s going on behind the scenes? Or is it the other way around, and he’s using that to basically attack Truth? It’s funny how Satan is smart enought to never tell flat out lies. But how he mixes it with truth until it’s almost impossible to distinguish. Furthermore, I think that his downfall is the assumption that being a follower of Christ and also being enlightened as to what REALLY goes on in the world, are mutually exclusive. And while for most it is…it doesn’t have to be.

Exactly. I believe that Gerald Massey was behind it if I remember correctly, and he’s an Egyptologist and a 33rd degree mason. What you touched on though is important because what these churches do by watering down the scriptures is a purposeful attempt to de-sensitize the people as to what is going on. This is why even though the prophecies are coming to fruition, the people still cannot see it and still continue to put their hopes in America. I’ve met and encountered many truly intelligent black and hispanic people that feel alienated from the Word of the Lord because they see the racism in this society and view the Bible as the “white man’s book”. They notice that the blacks that claim to believe in it tend to be like zombies that regurgitate slogans that aren’t even in the Bible. “God don’t like ugly”, “Come as ye are.”, etc. In fact, many “black Christians” get frustrated when certain scriptures are read that run contrary to their indoctrination and will become confrontational. In most of these churches, the Bible is taught in a superstitious fashion with no attempt to encourage scholarly scrutiny of the scripture or the history. In regards to the film, I have to watch it because I never have and I’m sure that there are elements of edification in it. Massey is well-versed in his doctrine and the beliefs of the ancients.
