Sen. Barack Obama decisively beat Sen. Hillary Clinton in the Hawaii caucus and Wisconsin primary on Tuesday night, extending his consecutive wins since Super Tuesday to ten.

Obama won his native state, Hawaii, over Clinton with 76 percent of the vote. In Wisconsin, 58 percent to Clinton’s 41 percent.

Emerging as the Democratic front-runner, Obama is now turning his focus to the Ohio and Texas primaries on March 4. He and Clinton will debate in Texas on Thursday.

In a speech in Houston regarding his Wisconsin win:

“Houston, I think we’ve achieved liftoff here.

It is going to require more than rousing speeches. … It is going to require something more, because the problem that we face in America today is not the lack of good ideas. It’s that Washington has become a place where good ideas go to die.”

For the Republicans, front-runner John McCain won a commanding victory over Mike Huckabee in the Washington and Wisconsin primaries and since both of those were winner-take-all states, it further separates the two candidates.

  1. Mister Anderson

    Wisconsin wasn’t too Black.

    Wisconsin wasn’t too rich.

    Wisconsin wasn’t too educated.

    Wisconsin wasn’t too small.

Wisconsin didn’t have a caucus system.

Will she save her legacy and exit with grace if she doesn’t win Ohio and Texas by at least 10 points?

  2. bossy20

go head obama you making black history

  3. ThatBKChick

Totally agreed Mr. Anderson. I feel that TX, PA and OH are going to be tough wins for Billary, hence, she has to take those SUPERDELEGATE States with a wide margin as she did here in Cally. I don’t she is going to get those states without a good darn fight. Obama has been cutting into her white female/hispanic/latino vote as well as independents. Expect the attacks from Billary and McCain to sharply increased, as they did last nite. Cannot wait for tomorrow nights debate…I am telling you, I cannot remember when the country has ever been this polorized?

It is going to be a nasty fight all the way to Dem’s national convention. Hillary is broke and she is depending on McCain to fight with her to bring McCain down…even McCain touted that Hillary would be a stronger candidate on national defense than Obama…so there you have it folks….the Clinton’s cannot be one in the same with the Good Ol Boy status quo, everything that Obama is talking about! OBAMA ALL THE WAY!!!

  4. ThatBKChick

I am so tired…excuse the typo’s CL peeps. I have been blogging on Politico.com and other progressive sites such the one mentioned and Huffington Post.com for the past three days straight.

Please pray that this does not go to the SUPERDELEGATES…I honestly hope that Clinton is defeated before June. We have got to keep the Democratic voters engaged and not get them upset to where they vote for McCain and not Obama…this is what the chitter chatter is saying at the moment.

    Stay Tunned CL Peeps!

  5. GOBAMA!!!

I will be sending my absentee ballot in for PA. Wish him the best and I hope he sweeps!

  6. latino pride

we love obama! kick hilarys lebian s&m ass

  7. Dame

Go Obama I see McCain and Billary are gaining up on Barack. The media to pick at Barack.

@5 I agree with everything you said. It is clearly do or die for Mrs. Clinton. I will be voting on March 4th in Houston a city in which Hillary didn’t visit on yesterday.

But is this what we really need or is he just their TigerWoods..Is he Really he man for the job? We need more than historical happenings and eloquent speeches

  10. Hilary needs to pull a Mitt Romney and drop out now! Have enough dignity for the Democratic Party! Besides, statistics prove that more than half of Clinton voters would not be upset if Obama was the candidate but not the same was true for Obama voters. WHY? B/C OBAMA SHOULD BE THE CANDIDATE!

    GO OBAMA!

  11. Common Lady

    Thank J. D.!

I’m so happy that Obama is doing well!

He makes me believe we can solve the problems in this country!

I for one am for a change!

OBAMA 08!!!!!!!!! I really mean it J. D., you were a great addition to CL! And I hope you continue to enlighten us with posts that will make bloggers think, speak up and motivate!

  12. Ara

McCain is under scrutiny about some hanky panky with a lobbyist. They were just talking about it on the news and how it might affect his campaign. Better still, is this the miracle that Huclebe has been waiting for, but I still say BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT 2008!!!

  13. hilltop

If Obama was just a man who talked a good game and could only deliver a ‘good speech’ and nothin else, do you honestly think he would still be in this race? Give me a break!!!! Another thing…I am so impressed at how Obama is running his campaign. The money factor alone is a prime example of his brilliance. He has managed his financial resources EXTREMELY well. I can’t say the same for Hillary because she has MISMANAGED her funds and run out. Now who woud you rather have in charge of this country. I for one would rather have Obama manage this country than Billary… All day everyday!!!!!

    J. Dakar,
Could you do a post about the Texas-2-step thing that the Obama camp has got goin’ on Texas? The voting process in Texas seems different than other states. I’m from Georgia by the way… Yes.. we represented!!!!! HA!!
    OBAMA ’08

  14. hilltop

    @12
I agree… She needs to give it up. It seems she does not have the democratic party’s best interest at heart. It’s all about Hill’ar-ious.. SMH

i went to barack obama’s rally in dallas texas earlier today, and the number of people in attendance and their energy was AMAZING. i am very proud of him.

if obama doesn’t win, and Billary does, I will still be happy….we CANNOT let McCain “aka Bush’s asskisser” run the White House!!!

And I am fully aware of how the Texas Two-Step works, and I will participate on March 4!! YES WE CAN!

  19. Emma V's Great-Grandaughter

    Go Obama!

  20. Vida

    Just a side comment:

My boyfriend, before these primaries got into the works was staunchly anti-voting. We are complete opposites when it comes to politics, but after watching how a nation of people in need of a real change spoke up, he’s said he’ll vote if Obama becomes president.

He (my boyfriend) is a conspiracy theorist, so there are a few other stipulations, but Obama is infectious, in a good way. Not in the I’m itching and I can’t remember that guys name from Friday night, kind of way.

  21. cAPRI sUN

    Hey J. Dakar

You conmented once before about the 2008 State of the Black Union forum in New Orleans, im interested to know what othrs think, ast this a critical point withstanding the wins in WI, WA, and HI, should he go if HILL goes or should he skip it???

Sen. Barack Obama’s letter to Tavis Smiley
The following letter dated February 13, was sent to Tavis Smiley asking him to reconsider his decision not to let Michelle Obama stand in for her husband at the 2008 State of the Black Union forum in New Orleans.

    February 13, 2008

    Mr. Tavis Smiley

    President and CEO

    The Smiley Group

    3870 Crenshaw Boulevard

    Suite 391
    Los Angeles, CA 90008

    Dear Tavis,

Thank you for the invitation to participate in the 2008 State of the Black Union forum in New Orleans, Louisiana February 21-23. The exchange of ideas raised at this annual symposium are invaluable as our nation strives to address the critical issues facing not just African Americans, but Americans of every race, background and political party.

I especially commend you for hosting this dialogue in New Orleans. On the eve of the Louisiana primary, I visited this great city for the fifth time since declaring my candidacy to share policy proposals for rebuilding the Gulf Coast so that we never experience another Hurricane Katrina. On February 9, I was deeply humbled to win the Louisiana primary with 86 percent of the African American vote and a 14 point lead among all voters who said they were adversely affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Uniting our country and creating a national constituency for fundamental change is why I am running for President of the United States. We have come a long way in this race, but we still have a long road ahead. In the final stretch, I will be on the campaign trail everyday in states like Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin talking directly with voters about the causes that are at the heart of my campaign and the State of the Black Union forum such as affordable healthcare, housing, economic opportunity, civil rights and foreign policy. I am committed to touching every voter, and working to earn their vote.

That is why with regret, I am not able to attend the forum. I understand that you have declined the campaign’s request to have Michelle Obama speak on my behalf. I ask that you reconsider. Michelle is a powerful voice for the type of real change America is hungry for. No one knows my record or my passion for leading America in a new direction more than Michelle Obama.

Tavis, this is our movement and our time. I look forward to working closely with you throughout this election. Thank you for your continued support.

    Sincerely,

    Barack Obama

Further more, since you cant be two places at one time…WHAT IS WRONG WITH MICHELLE!!!

@9 Dame,I feel slighted as well, she was here in the Cleveland area yesterday morning,in Parma of all places.Picture if you will CL FAMILY the WHITEST SUBURB near you, still hanging on to the thought process of a 1950′s era cave-boy,and thats Parma,Ohio.I know that we are not the size of Houston, but we are just as diverse, and on top of that, damn near 80% of Cleveland voted for John Kerry in 04.So why would Mrs.Clinton just write off if any potential support for her campaign?Mrs.Obama will be at Cleveland State tomorrow.A debate is planned for Barack and Clinton at that same venue on 23 February.Maybe then I’ll get to hear about all of Hillary’s experience/final nail in the coffin of her campaign.Show’em watcha got Barack!

GO OBAMA … thats my MAN!!!

  28. Sierra

All OBAMA supporters like myself, need to go to his website, know what he promises to do for Americans, and to protect our country. READ about his plans for healthcare for those who cannot afford it. For education so that all Americas willreceive the best education so that they can compete with the rest of the world. READ about his plans for to protect Americans here in America. READ about his plans to bring soldiers home from Iraq, and to make sure that our military is the best so that America can be at the ready to protect, and fight terrorists. READ about his plans to make sure that all soldiers are given the best medical care, and benefits when they return home. READ about his plans to fund projects that will provide clean energy, so that we can reduce or dependency on oil, and at the same time protect our environment. READ about how he will clean up Washington so that it is not the lobbyist, and corporations who are setting the agenda for the American. He wants the government to return, to , and work for the people, not for big business.
READ about his plans to GIVE tax breaks to the poor Americas, RATHER than to rich millionaires, like the republicans would do. There is so much to KNOW about Obama, and his great plans for this great counrty.
PEOPLE GET TO KNOW OBAMA, AND LEARN THAT HE IS ALL ABOUT SUBSTANCE!!! HE IS A MAN WITH ALOT OF SUBSTANCE WHO CAN BRING ABOUT A VERY POSITIVE CHANGE TO WASHINGTON, FOR THE FUTURE, SO WE WILL HAVE PRESIDENTS IN OUR COUNRTY, WHO ARE FOCUSED ON THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY, INSTEAD OF LINING THEIR POCKETS, AND THEIR FRIENDS POCKETS.

  29. SONGSTA

I really want Obama to win, but I am so scared that if he gets the democratic nomination that he wont be able to win against McCain… I think that there is something fishy going on with all of the focus being put on Obamas victories. Not saying that he couldn’t win them on his own…I’m just saying I feel that the some how those sneaky ass republicans are some how making sure Hillary is out and Barack is in because they know that Hillary has a better chance at beating McCain. And while we are sitting here being caught up in all of the hype those GOP’s are working a plot for them to continue in the White House for 12 consecutive years…I just don’t know! You tell me?

  30. NoMoSoul

    i agree with #32^^^^^^^^^^^^

Something is definitely fishy. White folks lie. Hell, let me narrow it down. Republicans = White Rich Men, Evangelical CONSERVATIVE Christians, and Rednecks AKA RACIST.

Anyway, i believe Obama can defeat McCain even if i do have my doubts about how this election will play out. I mean, look at the last election. Foul play stamped all over those ballots. No longer can we allow these rich white people to rule us. WE rule this country. This is for the people and BY the people. OUR LAND.

This really is about the past vs. the future. Republicans are living in the past. Its all about them controlling the rest. Democrats, Green Party, etc. are the future. We’re radical we’re all about change.

So its pretty much the Repblicans vs. Everyone else. I really hope everyone else wins this.

  31. charlee

hmmmmm i don’t know but i have a funny feeling about OBAMA as president….oh well guess we will just have to wait and see

  32. Sarah

Charlee, you and other people like you are so, so silly!!! What is your fear exactly?! That Obama has a black father, or is it that he has a last name different than yours, (by the way, it was a name he didn’t give himself, the name was given to him by his parents at birth, you know, just like your parents gave you yours!) So what is it you fear?! Is it that Obama is a Christian, and has been a Christian all his life, and has gone to the same Christian church for over 26 years. Is your fear that Obama was born in Hawaii, an American State, (and apart from going to an elementary school in another country for less than three years), has spent all of his life in America. Is it that he went to elementary school in America, then went to highschool in America, then went to Harvard University in America, graduated top of his class, and after graduation, went to work for a law firm located in America, before, he decided to run of public office, and was elected to the Illinois State Senate, in America, and served for 8 years. In those 8 years, his Americaness was not questioned, while he spent 8 years serving the people of Illinois. In 2004 Obama was elected to the US Senate, and has served as a Senator for the past 4 years, was his Americanness ever questioned then, as he was doing good work for the people of his State, of his country! Obama is as American as any American could be, he even chose to dedicate his life to serving the people of his country, something not many American choose to do. AND NOT ONCE during the time he was in the Illinois State Senate, OR the U.S State Senate was his Americanness being questioned, NOT ONCE during that time was his ability to serve the other American people, who elected him questioned. BUT NOW that the OBAMA wants to be the President of the United States, all of a sudden people are questioning whether he is American enough. This is such pathetic bullshit!!
If Obama was anything other than a great American he would never have been an elected offical in Illinois for 8 years, NOR would he have been a elected to U.S. Senate for 4 years.
Charlee people like you need to take a look at the people who serve this great country, and realize that they are of all colors, not just white. We also have alot of other black Senators in this country, as a matter of fact there are also black congressmen, and women, and lets not forget the black mayors, who serve their country everyday. Would you also be suspicious of these black senators, and congressmen, and mayors, if they decided they wanted to be the president of the United States. Lets not forget the black men, and women who are soldiers, who serve their country, who risk thier lives everyday, fighting for their country. Would you have a problem if one of those black soldiers one day decided they wanted to be president. Would you be suspicious of them too, Are they not American enough, because they are black.

  33. I suppose some people are really wondering whether Obama is a Field Negro or a House Negro. I was just listening to a Malcolm X speech! Malcolm spoke about how rich white men co-opted the March on Washington and brought together King and other leaders to head it, controlled who spoke, where it was held, etc. It’s on the American Rhetoric website. Anyway in case people also didn’t realize Mark Penn, HRC’s Senior Strategist was had employed John McCain’s current Strategist. They came out with identical arguments in opposition of Obama. Ah those ties that bind!

  34. Two Words....

Larry Sinclair…. true story or not, the republicans DO know about it. They are waiting for the perfect time to bring it up. Especialy now that their poster boy (McCain) is under attack. In all honesty it could destroy any hopes the democratic party has of taking this election

  35. datdude

I’m sorry but i’m tired of dis nicca, damn ppl there are three branches to the government, dis nicca is not becoming our new dictator, shit, he can only do so much and no more, ppl acting like the world is about to change. He looks, talks and even walks like change, but anyone ever ask, wat if we can’t change, because maintaining is necessary to keep a certain status quo that benefits our economy, a country like this strives when corruption and and a certain level of inequality is maintained. I believe he will want to make change, but when he sits in the Oval office the goals become different because then you see the bigger picture and i am certain its a dark one.

  36. gluvnast

with the larry sinclaire thing. most republicans are scared to use it, because it could backfire something horriblely. i remember when the democrats push out that navy shit towards dan rather and that shit backfired so horribly that it got him FIRED.

so, the republicans want something very solid, not some youtube-made accusation by someone that don’t even have no teeth whutsoever. they need additional evidence backing that up.

you noticed that the rezko thing materialized to nothing, because there’s no damning evidence of obama doing any wrong doing. and in the end the negative attacks are merely hurting hillary instead.

so the republicans are at a precarious position and trying to see whut they can attack him on and not attack him on. we’ll see in the future whut will happen

  37. Vida

    @ Songsta,

I definitely understand your apprehension, but I think the reason such a big deal is being made is that, white america, and the america that is not in touch with black and minority and white voters, who see past racial boundaries is still in shock. They all want to say, OMG a black man is winning, but they can only just hype of the fact that he is winning, a senator from illinois, leaving off the real shocker to alot of them, he’s black.

I know that if someone would have told me in 1999 that a black man was going to run for president in 2007 I would have NOT believed it possible. At all, and I’m not someone who swears the whole world is racist and they’ll never let a black man get ahead. I am not one of those people. I just never in a million years then would have predicted that America as a nation would be so ready and willing for change.

If you tell a nation what it needs without asking them; this is what happens, we get restless, we realize the power in a vote, and we make change happen.

Obama/Hillary ’08 I believe its an unstoppable ticket.

  38. La'shonda

    @ 37/ “Dat” Dude

You sound rather ignorant and I am surprised you know how to spell “status quo”. But people like you (there are a lot like you) need to get out of this mentality that change is not possible. I truly believe we have reached a conjunctural moment in the history of our country whereby real change is possible, the status quo can be challenged. My evidence for this? The growing numbers of cross-race support that Obama has garnered. This is a sign to me that there is a yearning amonst the people for something different in terms of the governance of this country. I believe that Obama has the conviction to resist the demands of the lobbyists (he has already done this) and in contrast Hilary is already in their pockets. She will be subservient to the needs of the status quo, Obama has the strength to reject them and bring about purer form of democracy whereby WE set the agenda. Do not limit yourselves people. Do not feel that we are to be eternally at the mercy of mass capitalism and the demands of corporations. Do not feel that we will always be submissive to the demands of the wealthy and well-positioned. IF OBAMA HAS PROVED ANYTHING: HE HAS PROVED THAT CHANGE IN AMERICA IS AT LEAST A POSSIBILITY. LET US COME TOGETHER, OPEN OUR EYES AND SHOW WITH ACTION THAT IT CAN BE A REALITY.

  39. CLEARMINDED

WOOT WOOT!!!!! Wisconsin showed out for Obama. He’s rollin’, rollin’, rollin’!!!! All y’all former Obama-haters, doubters and tin-foil hat wearing folk — just come on and get board, all is forgiven, there’s room for you too! Let’s all hold hands and sing “We Are the World.” LOL!!!!

I bet Hillary wishes she hadn’t pushed for two more debates now. How foolish to use pushing for debates as a campaign strategy, especially after 18 damn debates! Now she’s got to sit up there and talk after 10 straight losses and a fading campaign. That’s gotta suck.

There was an amazing student-led march in Texas (Prairie View University, I think) to a polling place for early voting. It was part protest against controversial polling place locations, and part rally. The visuals were awesome, and it’s nice to see something new and different in politics. And they weren’t going to vote for Billary, LOL!!!

    OBAMA 08

  40. Ninagirl1

Yesssss for Obama. Im am already tasting victory and the tears are ready to spill. I know this will be a win worth crying for, HAPPY TEARS THAT IS, the tears of joy ;D.

  41. Ninagirl1

And #37 does not even know that winning this campaign is about way more then his little mind can even fathom. This campaign signifies a whole lot more about politics and the mindset of the people in whole. This campaign signifies equality, and the real beginning of a brighter future for the minorities. That all brothers can have hope. When little young black boys can see that the president is a black man! Um um um……this means they can see that one day they can do the right things in life and get an education and one day run the nation. In the year 2008, just being free from slavery over a hundred years, my parents and there parents have been working class law abiding citizens…..who deserve to live to see this win.

  42. Dame

@jones I feel you I am just saying if she want my vote she could have came to Houston. Bill campaigned for her but he is not running it would have been nice to hear her in person. Hillary was in South Texas trying to get the hispanic vote.

  43. FLYGIRL

I was at the TX rally and there were a lot people there they turned away 1000 people away. Inside there was at least 1700 people. I’m glad I was able to see History. For those in texas keep in mind we have the TX Two Step here vote early now thru the 29th and caucus on march 4th.

  44. ANXIETY DISORDERS and NEGATIVE THINKING

Alright. For those people who are so negative about Obama, I’m quite sure you all are just as negative about other things in your life as well. Even if this is a conspiracy, who gives a shit?

Personally, I think it’s high time that someone who can reach as many people as Obama stands for change. Even if he doesn’t deliver on every single thing, SO WHAT! What president do you know who ever has? Obama can’t possible do any worse than any of the past presidents. Let the man have a chance.

Obama is really refreshing in that he gives HOPE and he’s doing it in such a positive, organized, and eloquent way. He inspires people to strive for excellence by being the example for others to follow – and that’s saying alot. It’s about time for the overwhelmingly POSITIVE ENERGY that Obama and his supporters bring. Society (primarily through media influences) constantly attempts to beat us down and focus on all the negativity in the world – I for one am tired of it. Time for positivity. Time for change.

Think about the people who still walk around thinking they can’t be anything or do anything because of the color of their skin…. If this BLACK MAN (though interracially mixed like most of us) can run for President of this country and not only run, but run successfully – making NO APOLOGIES, then that makes our so called problems seem that much more insignificant. He is proof that we can accomplish anything!

  45. TX Two Step/FLYGRYL

    Source. cbs11tv.com

DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ― The Texas Two Step. We’ve all heard of it. Some have even mastered it. Now voters will have to get ready for a new dance.

“We’re encouraging all of our supporters to vote early, and then they need to come back to caucus,” said Debbie Mesloh, a spokesperson for Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign.

Democrats voting in the Texas primary must go through two steps.

Whether voting early or on March 4, you must first cast your vote at the polls. Then on March 4, 15 minutes after the polls close, you must return to your local precinct to reaffirm your vote.

“I don’t see that either candidate has an advantage or disadvantage with the system. They know what the rules are,” said Jess Hay, a spokesperson for Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

A total of 228 Democratic delegates in Texas are at stake. Of those, 126 of them will be decided in the voting booth, while another 67 delegates will be decided when the voters gather after the polls close.

That leaves 35 undecided delegates, better known as super delegates. The remaining 35 are the delegates that Obama and Clinton will try to win over before the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Texas Democrats are not permitted to caucus after the polls close, unless they first cast their votes in the voting booths. However, those who vote early or on March 4 are not required to caucus.

Although their vote will count toward deciding 126 of the delegates, voters who choose not to return after the polls close will have no say where the additional 67 delegates will go.

i love it!!!!! well except the mccain update…

  47. Ara

TEXAS, OHIO AND PA VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT 2008!!! VOTE FOR CHANGE!! YES WE CAN!! YES WE CAN!!

  48. Ara

Hey! someone is trying to sabotage McCain, they are saying he had an affair with this female lobbyist and wondering if he did any personal favors. They had a picture of McCain and one of the lobbyist in her freakum dress. Washington politics as usual……………….we’ll see

  49. S.D.

    OBAMA 08!

#31, According to two separate polls by Time Magazine and CNN.Com, Hillary faired worse against McCain than Obama. Hillary lost to McCain by 4 points (including the 3 point margin of error) but Obama beat McCain by 5 points.

I’m nervous for Obama though. I dont think he does as well in the debates as Hillary.

  50. JUDAH

It’s funny to me how many black women swoop down like harpies to castigate a black man whenever he has an opinion, lol. If “Datdude” has that opinion, why does that make him ignorant? The fact of the matter is that Barack Obama is the white man’s negro male, he’s the white woman’s negro male, and he’s most importantly the black woman’s negro male. Obama has had and will continue to have the same effect on black women that these pastors at these different black churches has on black women. Someone that they can respect and hearken to because they don’t have to live with them and listen to them everyday. Many sisters look to Barack Obama as a false idol. This is why they want him to win this election, so that this will be another bullet in their gun to “teach the black man how to be a man”. So they can point and say “Look at Obama. He did it. Now get your lazy ass off the couch so you can do it too!”, lol. He can be used by the sisters as a sort of surrogate father/role model to the sons that they can neither raise on their own nor control. Some of the sisters have become so arrogant, delusional, and proud due to the gains they’ve made in corporate America, at the sanctioning of the white man, that they think that they can teach the black man how to be a man and Obama is a key tool for this.

In my opinion, the brother, Datdude, wasn’t trying to be negative or rain on the black woman’s parade. We as black men that pay attention know that this thing is real, very real, this hatred for our people. It is pervasive, it is a spiritual hatred, it’s constantly adjusting itself and taking on new forms with the progress of time, and no politician will eradicate it nor does one intend to. If the biggest proof of oncoming “change”; according to the sisters, is that all races are at his rallies, it is because misery loves company. He’s become a “Christ-like” figure, especially to the sisters. You can tell that this is how the white man wants him to be perceived based on how he is photographed from a worm’s -eye-view with a light overhead as if he is a deity. The whites can see the writing on the wall regarding the oncoming demise of America and want to recruit blacks to assist them in keeping America afloat. All this “change” is hypothetical of course because Obama has not won the nomination, nor do I think that he will but we’ll see. I still don’t understand this quest that our people are championing for “equality” when our people don’t really have the self-love or self-knowledge to work with each other much less any other race.

@#52 the Judah………u have it all wrong. Im reading in between ur lines and it sounds like ur most upset that the black people are not sticking together on this. U want us to be confused and turn against each other. U want us to take a step backwards and not forwards. U want to try and throw in the fact that some boys are raised in a house with single parents and have no role models. Who are their role models now? White presidents who are married and cheat on there wives in office, or white presidents who condone war and hate. I dont think so. We are all of sound mind and are able to make decisions for the black people as one, not divided.

  52. Ninagirl1

Correction…….Judah is most upset that African Americans are sticking together and are not confused and divided. Throwing the fact that we are believing in him but dont live with him, however he has a black wife who does and that makes ur point invalid. His wife represents black woman in general. There are people who wont support Obama just because his wife is black and not white. Isnt that racist. Thats what Judah sounds like, a racist who does not support the advancement of colored people. This is the reason why Obamas win signifies so much more than politics. Its the ignorance that needs to stop. I believe that we shall over come.

News You Should Know About Politics: Obama Got Robbed In N.Y., Elections Board Says; Clinton Steps Up Heat On Surging Obama
    Posted February 19, 2008
Obama got robbed in N.Y., the Elections Board says
The state Board of Elections says that Sen. Barack Obama got shafted in the New York primary. In fact, The New York Daily News reports, several districts actually show that zero votes were recorded for Obama, when in reality he had gotten hundreds. In nearly 80 districts – even in mega-Black Harlem – he got zilch, while in other largely Black districts the tallies were far off the mark. At first, results in the 94th district, where Harlem is seated, showed a 141-0 sweep for Hillary Clinton, but a recount changed the tally to 261-136, according to the News. Describing the miscalculations as “outrageous,” Brooklyn City Councilman Charles Barron told the paper, “I think this is an all-out effort to stop a campaign that is about to make history and render America’s first Black president. We need some kind of independent or federal agency to investigate this.”

Lmao, I think that you’re confused sis. You tried to put me in my place and then decided that your own rebuttal wasn’t adequate. No disrespect to you but you can’t “read between the lines” when you’re not intuitive enough to read the lines. I have no problems or qualms with black people voting, much less who they vote for. All these candidates are different scales on the same serpent and it will all eventually come to light. Furthermore, I don’t believe in trying to divert people from their natural inclination because what will be will be. When you read what I said, I was addressing many, not all, black women’s tendency to try to tell black men how they can be men including why they should vote and who they should vote for, which played out in the responses to what the brother said in comment #37 in addition to your own futile attempt to “read into” what I said. In regards to the advancement of black people, your definition of advancement is different from mine. The advancement that our people will get will be the advancement given from the Most High and Christ. You and many sisters are trying to coerce the black man into a subservient frame of mind and forced happiness in corporate America through your bland, vain spiel about “equality”. The masses of black men will not accept this because their spirit is not given to subservience. The brothers in corporate America have to struggle to maintain their mental and spiritual balance from day to day and that struggle is not respected by the sisters because they are the weaker vessel and more receptive to the doctrines of this society. The few black men that rise to elevated heights in this system usually have to sell their souls in the process, i.e. Bob Johnson. The people respond to Obama because he appeals to their vanity. If forced to explain “equality”, no one on this thread could do so and Obama certainly couldn’t.

I’m not trying to stop you from taking any steps, much less forward or backward. Your mentality is going into the house negro belief that this captivity and modern day racism is black people’s fault. I don’t believe in stopping the lemmings from going off the cliff. As far as the point about him being an idol for black women to direct their sons to as a surrogate father, that to me is irrefutable. The black boys have no role model because they’re not being taught the truth of who they are. Obama will not be a role model for black boys either because he cannot relate to the black man. He is an African, he knows this and has said as much on more than one occasion. His wife is “with him”, as you say, because he’s the black woman’s type of negro and the Obamas have been put forth by the white man as the archetypal “black family” to once again confound black people. This has worked and proves my point rather then disproves it. You’re a little too simple to understand this. The basic black family unit has been destroyed but they’re supposed to be paragons of virtue and representative of how things “can be”. His wife “represents black women” in general, lmao? Are you saying that you all think the same and share the same brain? If a black man said this it would be WWIII. Think before you speak or learn how to represent your thoughts (or lack thereof) a little better. Lastly I don’t understand this “racist” tag when you implied that “white presidents” condone “war and hate”. That’s a “racist” statement. Are you saying that if Obama were to win the presidency that he would not go to or continue war? Why, because he told you he wouldn’t when he campaigned. lol?

    @56

Sis, it’s not “negativity” or “pessimism”. It’s called living in the real world and understanding this world in relation to what the Most High has preordained. You and some effeminate black men mistake realism for pessimism because you don’t talk to people and respect real, qualifiable beliefs. You type of people are too busy telling others how they “should feel” about what “may happen” if we believe in “hope” and “change” because many of you believe that once we reach “equality (a.k.a. once the white man loves our people), that’s supposed to make us love ourselves and each other. Maybe these black and hispanic children would be less apathetic if you adults started to teach them truths instead of fantasies. It’s difficult to do that because you adults are dumb as rocks so you need a “savior” like Obama to lead you. Stop trying to force your ridiculous idealistic dreams on people until our community is in order. The problems and issues that we have cannot be solved by a man (Isaiah 33:22, 43:11). The Lord will not give his glory unto another (Isaiah 48:11).
