Actor Wesley Snipes was acquitted of tax fraud but was convicted of failure to file taxes in Florida on Friday. Snipes, 45, who was convicted of three misdemeanor counts of failing to file a tax return, faces up to five years in federal prison. His income over the period of time in which he failed to file amounted to millions of dollars.
STAR’S SHOW CANCELED
TruTV (formerly known at CourtTV) has canceled Star Jones Reynolds’ legal-focused talk show after a six-month run. The last episode of the show aired on Friday.
“Due to the rebranding and programming refocus of the network, truTV and Star Jones Reynolds have mutually agreed to cease production of ‘The Star Jones Show,”‘ said a memo from Marc Juris, executive vice president and general manager of the channel formerly known as Court TV.
The show, which began in August, showcased Reynolds’ work as a TV host and former lawyer. She will remain with the network as a contributor to the channel’s trial coverage.

Poor star. She could never pronounce words correctly on her show anyway. And she still sounded so short of breath. The show was pretty interesting on the less than 5 occassions or so that I watched it. Her best bet would have been not to be a primadonna and begging for freebies, and endorsing her wedding on the View, and remained humble and stayed on the View (I know she was fired, but her antics at the time caused that). Barbara Walters is a legend and a newscaster pioneer and that would have been a guarenteed job for Star because the View is not going anywhere anytime soon until Barbara says so!
