So the rumors don’t stop with Chris Brown and Rihanna being the new “it” young couple on the scene. After looking cozy at LA Reid’s post-Grammy party (above), People reported that Brown was recently spotted at Rihanna’s 20th birthday party:
When partygoers (like Kanye West and Wilmer Valderrama) weren’t flinging cupcakes, they offered a standing ovation after Chris Brown sang an acapella version of “Happy Birthday.” While Brown has denied that he and the birthday gal are dating (“We’re just friends … we hang out,” he told PEOPLE at a post Grammy party), a party guest tells us the two were cuddling and acting “very cozy all night.”
Folks are saying they are definitely together after this photo of Rihanna visiting Chris on the set of Jordin Sparks new video leaked out. Who knows – this girl has been linked to everybody by now…
DADDY KNOWLES DON’T PLAY
So if you didn’t hear, Aretha Franklin was kind of confused when Beyonce called Tina Turner “the Queen” at the Grammys that past on Sunday. Daddy Knowles a.k.a Matthew Knowles has responded in that good ole fatherly way:
“Something this ridiculous – it’s childish, it’s unprofessional,” Mathew Knowles said in a statement Thursday. “And it’s a sad day when egos get bruised because somebody used the word king, queen, prince or princess.”
and he told CelebTV.com:
“As a manager I am not taking something this ridiculous to Beyonce. Beyonce referred to Tina Turner as a ‘queen,’” “Not queen of gospel, queen of soul, queen of blues, Queen of England. I consider my wife a queen and sometimes call her that. Does Aretha have a problem with that?”
Okay then. So in other words, don’t be talking about his daughter…
LIL WAYNE INDICTED ON FELONY CHARGES
Lil Wayne is someone who isn’t doing to well right now. The rapper was indicted by a Yuma County (Arizona) jury on felony drug and weapon charges:
The 25-year-old rapper, whose name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was charged with one count each of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the indictment.
Carter pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Friday. His attorney, James Tilson, said Tuesday that Carter’s tour would continue as scheduled. Carter is due back in court March 7 for a status hearing. READ MORE
In the past two years alone he has been arrested three times on drug charges, including the incident leading to this and once on gun charges.
