I’m still in shock! I’ve been a fan of static since about 97/98. I was a really big fan! His voice is unmistakable and i’m not just saying because of his passing. On tracks like “Are You that Somebody” you can clearly hear his arrangement and voice and it was wonderful. It was like that on every song he arranged and sang on. I feel like the industry lost a huge talent. He was one of those talents that only music insiders and people who loved music knew about. I never got to work with him or meet him and that really sadens me because he was one of those guys that you had to meet and work with! So Rest In Peace Static! Take care of Aaliyah!

This really sucks, I love Playa. He was my favorite group member too. I actually have the cd in my car’s disc changer. I wish they woulda blew up, that had some really good songs on their cd and on Timbaland and Magoo’s Up jumps the boogie. “Joy” was tight w/ Ginuwine. Plus they had the “your dress” song on the Dr. Do Little soundtrack that was tight too. Gone but never forgotten. Sleep In Peace Static.

Stephen was truly a caring, loving, and talented person. I knew him personally becasue we grew up togther. My 15 year son sent me the You Tube video Lollipop by Lil Wayne and Static Major……….. So, today was my first time hearing this young man, and when I saw R.I.P. at the end of the video. I was sadden knowing this talented young man is no longer with us. I asked my son who is that young man,my son said Static Major, and I said I like his voice. So, I did a Google Search on Static Major, and that is how I am here today 3/15/2008 at 6:35pm

I just saw the video today….and I must say I know that I am late, but this is such a shock!! I didn’t even hear about it on the radio!!! This is such a blow to the production industry not only did Timbaland lose a friend but he lost a piece of him again I know.
