Janet Jackson – Let Me Know (full) – listen
With the release of Janet’s Discipline only a couple of days away, already, material that wasn’t on the album. “Let Me Know” is one of those mid-tempo records that was written by Ne-Yo. I think the song is okay, but it’s sort of boring. It is apparent why they left the track off the album. I’m sure that “Let Me Know” will appear as some sort of iTunes bonus, or on an international release or special packaging that will be exclusively sold at some retailer.

Two new Usher songs have surfaced, and like the bulk of songs that had leaked, I’m not really digging either one of these. I don’t know, none of this stuff is hitting as hard as any of the material on Confessions to me. But maybe that’s the problem – that album was near flawless, and I probably shouldn’t compare the two. Don’t get me wrong, the songs aren’t bad. I guess I just expected a little more from Ush. I guess we’ll see.
Danity Kane – 2 of You (full) – listen
I posted this song about a month ago, when all the information starting coming out that the girls would be on Making the Band 4 this season. I found out later, that Bryan-Michael Cox and Adonis worked on this song, and if my sources serve me correctly, next Monday’s episode will have this song in it. In any event, I love the poppy feel of this song. I think this is definitely the direction the girls need to be taking in order to stay relevant and to become the international stars that Diddy intended them to be.
Day 26 – Silly Love (snippet) – listen
I was sent this snippet a couple of times, but I don’t think it’s for real. I mean, the song may be for real, but I definitely don’t think that this is the version that they’d stick on their debut album, which is due out in March, along with labelmates Danity Kane. I haven’t been impressed with the boys or with Donnie on the show at all, but hopefully, the coming episodes will change my mind. I just haven’t really connected with Day 26 like I did Danity Kane.
Really enjoyed listening to Day 26-Silly Love…Sounds like a nice cool summer day song..nice melody. DO YOUR THING…
Danity Kane-2of You…Has a nice pop beat to it…would love to hit the dance floor on this..pop & lockin’.

Lovin the Janet songs, good work girl, and thanks for leaving JD and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis out of the mix this time, all good producers but just not where you need to be right now. The new producers have brought a fresh new energy to her music. She should have did this earlier maybe around the “all for you” period.
The Janet song is okay. Not as dancey as the others I’ve heard. But I am looking forward to her album.

I can’t really get w/Danity Kane. I was pleasantly surprised to see on the show this week that they all can really sing (some better than others) but I think its bcuz I don’t like Aubrey’s attitude that turns me off from the rest of the band. But they are starting to slowly grow on me…
I’m lovin Day 26′s material. These guys are talented and can maybe, with the right direction and music, bring back that old school feel of Jodeci, Boyz 2 Men and the like. Silly Love is just laid back…I love it!

I disagree about Janet leaving Terry & Jimmy out the mix. This song “Let me know” is boring but it sound better than all 3 other singles that made it’s way on to her new CD. Her latest CD, along with the last 2 sound like some bullshit that Ciara left on the studio floor. It sound like some Euro-trash dance music. You can’t even understand what she is saying. At least in this tune, you can understand the lyrics.
The song Feedback sound like the same song she did with that trashy rapper Khia on the last CD. It sound like the only thing that she did was change the lyrics. If it didn’t work for the last CD, why would it work now. What happen to the mature Janet that came out with, Thats the way love goes, Anytime, Any Place, I get lonely, Got till it’s gone (with Q-tip). She need to run back to JImmy & Terry cause her latest producers think she is 18yrs old.

I’m really proud of Janet’s effort this time. The entire CD sounds like it is well thought out classic Janet. The single “Discipline” reminds me of her sound on Velvet Rope.
I have never had a month feel like its taking as long as this one (anticipating album release)…except the month that I waited for Bar exam results. But tha t wasn’t nearly as much fun!
First…..I agree with Brian this is a (nice) Janet track but it is kind of boring and it almost seems as though they turned her levels ALL THE WAY UP maybe it was me but she sounded loud as hell…
Second…YO! I actually like “I Can’t Win” I can feel him when he’s singing it…maybe it’s about Maneka?

I think alot of artists need to understand that soul plays a part in how great their album is. Confessions by Usher was a great album cus his soul was into it, u could really feel the emotion in his voice and in the songs. But Ushers new stuff sounds dreadful in comparison! I really hope he releases better stuff because this is a great decline from the quality of music he normally brings.
DK have some nice songs, Dawn is the best singer imo but I dont get why that shantal girl is there or Aubrey- they can dance but they cannot sing! Dawn, Aundrea and Dwoods are the only ones with talent.

The DK song sounds like Rick James meets J.J Fad (Super Freak meet Supersonic) I Really Like It. Its Excellent. Janet’s song is decent. Usher’s 2 songs are ok. Day 26 (Not A good pick for a name), their song is decent.

I can’t believe the feedback for Usher’s song “I can’t win” that song is beautiful. One of his best songs to me. Please whoever is negative about that song, listen to it again and understand the words as u listen and I bet u will love it. Stop hatin on Usher…don’t be so negative towards him. He is a good man ….just support him.
All of these songs are average… But Ill be buying the Day26 Album… As for Danity Kane, Janet, and Usher (I’m over it)
