Tyra Banks who was just honored by BET, got plenty of attention on the streets of NY this week when she and other women declared to burn their bras (I know it was cold out there!).
The bra burning was in honor of the book B.O.O.B.S, a story about breast cancer survivors. Having breast cancer survivors in my family, I am passionate on this issue but I’m trying to understand the significance of the burning? I guess we will find out whenever this episode airs!

Celebration of Gospel was nice. I really enjoyed what I saw of it. Never Would Have Made It, WOW, that song is so powerful!!!!! John Legend performed “Show Me” it was a beautiful too…great performance!!!

Yes I believe I woke up the ENTIRE floor lol jumping for joy when Plaxico caught the game winning touchdown. Then my mobile started ringing off the hook with all my family calling me because all of us have lived in NYC at one time or another & are HUGE GIANTS fans lol!!!! This was clearly one of the BEST superbowls ever & the Giants truly fought for & WON this one!!!

The only time I watch BET is for the celebration of Gospel, I don’t know if it’s just me but half the songs on this year’s show I couldn’t even tell they were Gospel. I am only 23 but I tend to like traditional gospel more than this contemporary style, I am all for trying to reach out to the new generation but if the message is blurred than how are you reaching this generation.
I mean there was this guy ( I think it was J Moss) and the only thing I understood out of his entire song was “shake it till you break it” I was like WHAT! and to make matters worse KeKe Sheared (sp?) came out screaming all over the ending of the song. Can she sing? Everytime I see her I never know what she saying because she screams on EVERYTHING. She was the one that messed on CoKo, Fantasia and Lil Mo when they were sing Endow Me last year, she was filling in for Faith and tried her hardest to sing over Lil Mo and Coko. She messed my song up!
For the first time in a while Kirk Franklin was the only person you could tell was singing gospel ( I am going have to buy his new album, every song I have heard is fire).
Side note: Yolanda Adams and Patty held it down.
