Didn’t Britney Spears do this video (ie: the bath tub scene) a few years back? But, seriously, interesting video. Song is pretty cool too, a welcome departure from her last efforts which all seemed to sound the same and were mostly about the chorus, rather than any real lyrics. Don’t you hate videos that are to be continued though, they rarely ever make a follow up video. This one didn’t say to be continued, but it just reminded me of all those that say that.

I had all the other Ashanti reserves like you all did, i.e. lip sync, no vocal ability, live performance etc etc. But in the end, you are only as hot as your last record and by that standard alone this is a hot record. Regardless of what she has done previously, you are still fans enough to listen and watch the videos. Give her the props she deserves for possibly getting voice coaching and performance tips so she can provide her fans with an Ashanti experience unlike another. And this is definitely an Ashanti experience like none ive seen before. As well as I feel that I know Ashanti as an artist from a consumer point of view, this has to set the bar for her newest work to date. If you were to look at the video, you can think of it in other ways as well, (the producer of this music video usually does CSI shows) the ending where Ashanti emerges out of the water scene is scary, cause it may be her dark side, we really don’t know if she really did do it. It’s a mystery. We don’t know what really happen after she left out the door, she could of killed him or his mistress could of killed him. We will never know. That is the reason why I like this. It has many people asking questions. This honestly reminds me of a scene in Resident Evil. This goes to show that Ashanti loves those action pack mystery horror movies. Her acting and singing skills has improved, I am impressed. It goes to show that Ashanti does listen to her fans and she delivered. I’ll cop the album when it comes out, I’m interested in what else she has on her album.
