I’m glad she brought the natural hair color back. That blond wasn’t doing anything for her.

This song is very LONDON. Sounds like you would here this mixed in with some funky house. I dont think Americans would get it as they mainly listen to r&b, hip hip, pop, rock and country. Anything outside of that is too out of the box for them. Come to Europe where you eyes are opened to more of an eclectic taste in music. This is the reason why many of established US artist come to Europe, especially London. The music is more varied, which allows them to experiment more with there own sound, staying in the states limits them music wise. Many US artist have teamed up with producers who are based in London. To show you how diverse the music is, if you listen to Justin Timberlakes “My Love”, that was actually STOLEN from a UK artist called Kelle Le Roc. The track she did is an old garage (another genre of music that people in the US may not be familiar with) called “My Love”. If you listen to it, the words are the same. Apparently she was paid off not to say anything, that hasnt been the first case of a US artist ripping of a European artist.

for anyone that wants to know this tune, the producer and the artist are all big in there respective ’scene’ ,in the uk and us, and europe wide…..if you just listen to straight rap and rnb, ya missing ALOT of good music….this is just part of the ‘mash up’ sounds that the youth are doing all over the world today…..

@COR BLIMEY but how is this song so revolutionary/original/artistic/whatever that it’s “out of the box”. honestly if you think this is out of the box you need to update your musical selections. ppl like bjork or are outside of the box, not these ppl who basically make dance tracks anywhich way you put it and there’s enough dance music out there. it’s REALLY nothing special. imo they’re already inside of the box. and i looked up the lyrics to kele le rock’s song and unless timberlake paid websites off to switch lyrics, the lyrics ARE NOT the same
and why does this chick act so weird? she always looks so fake or like she’s trying too hard. just be natural

Our people are so idle and hip hop is so finished that negroes are trying to take hip hop to some pseudo 1987 alternate reality, lol. Everybody is trying to be original by being just a little bit “different” and it’s not working because they’re not inspired. There’s no theme or point to this music. It’s just madness. What type of cooned out dance were they doin?

okay, im officially in love with kid sister…this video gives me 80s fresh and i think its hott. americans do need to think outside the box a lil more..the whole point of it being called bepper is to give off that ol school vibe..its not supposed to be current!

“Umma do me” Rocko’s first single, album in stores March 18, that’s an advertisement that I see on here. “Umma do me,” what the hell kind of title is that?? Hip-hop is steadily going down the drain in the U.S., but it’s evolving in other countries, especially in Europe. Timbaland is trying to bring their style here, and Kanye’s album was def. influenced by it as well…I agree that America should step outside the box a little bit and take a look at what hip-hop means for different people in other different cultures.

Love Kid Sis.
@ 29
It’s called footworking, and it’s done in Chicago and a few other Midwest cities. Far less coonery involved than say the “soldier boy dance”, I would say. It was also featured in the Missy Elliot video Lose Control. But I bet you weren’t saying coonery in either example.
And I think you people are taking it too seriously. It’s a fun ode to a throwback item. Geez. lighten up.

I’m from Chicago. And I’m proud of my city. We are the original innovative dancers (i.e footworking, juking, and, for the old school, stepping).
But, Kid Sister? I don’t know about this chick.
I mean, she’s cute and everything. And I guess, if the South and the East can have their moments to shine with the mess that they do, why not have somebody put Chicago on the map?
Hopefully, however, if Kid Sister becomes a hit, more serious acts out of the city, will be able to get some recognition; because what she’s doing really isn’t indicative of what Chicago artists can really do.

#24!-AHA-I thought I was the only one who knew that: onthe Kelle le Roc comment, I dont know who made the latter comment about it not being ripped by JT, but the lyrics to the chorus may be slightly (just only) different to JTs, but the actual rhthym beat when u listen to it is the same.
I cant be bothered to write anymore but.
“BUT LDN STAND UP TALL”

Yeah Kid Sister is ok, I can appreciate what she’s doing im all about something different in the industry. I like this song though, both the song and the video gives me like the early 90’s house music feel which I really dug.

To AKA NEW YORKER
I never said that this song was revolutionary, i just said that i didnt expect most Americans to “get it” as this isnt the type of music that you guys generally listen to. In Europe, especially in London, this type of music would be listen to more so we would “get it”.
In regards to Kelle Le Roc, you clearly havent listen to her song “My Love” as it was blatantly ripped of by Timberland, the chorus is near enogh exact. You should do your research properly. Click on the link below

holy shit. do u lot have take everything so literally? why cant it just be a song?
this tune is huge out here. every club u go to everyone wants to hear “beeper”.
it sampled the Fam-lay track originally but Pharrell was being mega tight with publishing and shit so J2K from Flosstradamus (who is kid sister’s big brother) re did the hook.then kid sis got involved and did her bit.
so if u think its wack that they are on about beepers have a word with Pharrell and Fam-Lay..
chillax, dont be so quick to shoot something down.let it be.
peace.
