It was fun to see Mariah Carey poke fun at herself.
Im use to her with the perfect videos, with the perfect guy, & perfect camara angles of herself.
In her interviews she always talk about her having this fun & silly side to her that only some of her close friends get to see(like Da Brat).
So it was cool to see her not taking herself so seriously.
Maybe everybody would have like it if she interpreted the concept alittle differently.
Your so right Brian. But it is a cutesy song. But the video is true to form Mariah fare. A lot of artificial sweetner. Very camp.
And she dresses in true Mariah style. She doesn’t evolve or take risks like Madonna or Janet, she stays in her lane.
Personally I think that is why her success has been more consistent for the most part because she give the people what they want and doesn’t try to push the envelope, but as she gets more mature and realises she has more money and broken more records and gets a liitle bored she might go a little nuts and do something a little more progressive and experimental. Especially with such a powerful and wide vocal ability.
I love Mariah! and I love the video its totally her style its sort of reminiscent of her “heartbreaker video” it shows her light hearted side…she doesn’t have to have and uber sexy plot in every video, that gets old. I love this video!

this song is OKAY – I like it – which is not cool when it comes to Mariah, I am use to loving her singles. The video is stupid – I couldnt watch the whole thing. Theres something about Mariahs style that bugs me, true her body is hott, but the way she dresses makes her look trampy. She needs a new stylist (or simply A stylist) to teach her how to show her “curves” in a better way. Cause its all wrong!!!!
