I must say, even though the song is slowly creeping up to growing on me, the video knocked it a couple of notches down on my list of listenables. It’s just too campy and corny. Mariah’s TMB is gearing up to be a smash and she has the most highly anticipated album of 08. The reviews for the song and album have been nothing short of amazing. So I would hardly say that she’s gearing up for another flop. It certainly looks that way for Janet though. Especially since her album is supposedly not going to push 200k. Lmao.
Again. You can think what you want to think. That’s the CONCEPT of the video. We don’t expect haters to get it. Mariah is on purposely targeting her haters because they are constantly riding her. This is not just a typical Mariah video. Yes she has dressed down in some of her videos, but those videos are nothing like this. Mariah is taking what the public says about her, and mocking them. Notice how people are always stating that she needs to grow up, and act her age. In this video, she’s doing the exact OPPOSITE of that. Instead of acting her age, she’s acting like a 12 year old. Notice the pillow and lazer gun fights. So stop acting as if TMB is a typical Mariah Carey video. She’s poking fun at herself and mocking idiots like yourselves who constantly ride her titties. The video is corny.. Mariah’s upper body always looks “loose” and disproportioned. No matter what type of visual effects they apply to her film work her arms and shoulders always look huge and so does her face (notice how shes aging in her face). She doesn’t have a bad body for 40, but a better choice of wardrobe would suit her better. (maybe stop trying to compete with Beyonce and the others in the 2nd generation)
