Overall I think fashion was a bit of a yawner at the event this year. No one really wowed me with their gown but, many people did step out and try different looks. Who was best and worst dressed in your opinion?

I wish Nas and Kelis were forbidden from attending the Grammy’s with that attire on….So many fought and died for Black people to not be known or defined by that word, and here he is making a fool of himself by putting it on display. Sickening!
what kelis and nas are doing is terrible. they do not realize that they are opening pandoras box. soon whites will wear that shirt and then blk ppl will get mad at that. but blk ppl made it available to them. they are really spreading the ignorance disease.
rihanna’s performance was WACK as hell…she cant sing or dance. her mic clearly had a synthesizer in it.

i liked rihanna’s dress dat she wore on da red carpet but da one she performed in was a bit over the top…..i don’t noe why everyone was gettin at chris brown’s suit i thought dat he looked unique, he didn’t try to look like all da other guys there who were wearing black…if u actually looked at the suit it was taylored nice and everything…..I LIKED IT!!…..Bee usually is on da best dressed list but at the grammy’s her dress didn’t realli hit the mark….like at the top of the dress the detailing was too much then when it flowed into the blue part i didn’t realli like it….i didn’t like her sister’s dress too it was too over the top….i really like alicia’s green dress dat she had on it was so pretty…..and fantasia’s hair didn’t look too bad like its different but who said different always has to be a bad thing

I agree with concreteloop… I didn’t get any excitement with any of the outfits. Bee Disappointed me with her outfits.. the gown was okay but the other change was blaaaaahh! I think they are too caught up in being totally different instead of what looks good. Come on stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some of those should have been on that list for the Should Have Stayed Home: Keyshia Cole, Fantasia, and Solange. Now don’t get me wrong, I love and respect Keyshia and Fantasia but I think they could have done better. What is going on with Solange, she kind of looks manly.
Beyonce’s hair was so freakin FLY!! It complemented Tina’s and I hope she keeps it. The color streaks were hot. I LOVED the green outfit she performed in with that matching minx green nail polish. So hot. I really liked her hair though.
Jay looked to cool for school. He did it BIG with Gucci.
I also APPRECIATED Nas and Kelis. With this being black history month and most of the big wigs in music in one place, it was perfec that he came out with his album title. He dumbfounded the reporter from CNN with his answer as to why he named it what he did. His answer was articulate and brillant and the reporter couldn’t say a thing, but moved on to HHID which Nas deaded – he said “that’s over, that was last year, we’re talking about this now.” BRILLIANT. Nas is too smart to have a title like that and not bring knowledge.
If I were Rihanna’s people I don’t think I would’ve had her lip-synching in front of all the SUITS you want to do business with. She could’ve saved herself if she knew how to dance at least. She showed all she has which is nothing but face and fashion. Both of which failed – she looked tired, her hair was wrong and her outfits were horrid.
Keyshia Cole was cute to me (except for the shoes). Her hair was hot.
Kelis’ gold pants were sooooo hot.
I liked Solange (she needs to blow out her hair), Alicia and Ne-Yo (slit at bottom of pants and shoes – FIYAH), but Luda looks like a mobster.

Anyone with real fashion sense would obviously appreciate rihanna’s style she nails it everytime… so innovative. She may not be the greatest singer ever but she is different and she has great songs that arent the typical crap on the radio her talent cant be denied “umbrella” was infectious and while others turned it down she saw its potential …grammy well deserved. AMY WINO is my girl best performance along with kanye. alicia was mediocre nothing new… wasnt feeling her outfits too tough. Beyonce needs a makeover this pageant, ice capade look is very boring and dated. fantasia dress was hot and for the nas and kelis haters… it was album promotion and they were making a statement trying to be tongue in cheek about the the whole controversy over the word… it made people notice and i think it was clever obviously it wasnt because they consider themselves to be n*ggers.
