Haven’t heard much from Miss Blu Cantrell in a long time, so it’s so interesting to me that she decided to take the instrumental from the popular crossover hit, “Apologize.” The track, which appears on Timbaland’s Shock Value album, was recorded by OneRepublic and the original version appears on their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud.
I’ve gotta be quite honest: I hate Blu’s version. That song is beautiful to me and it’s just not meant for all of that. Not only that, what is she supposed to doing – or what is she trying to do? Is there a new album in the works for Ms. Cantrell? In any event, it’s just way too much over the song. But who do you think sang it better?

Blu has an awesome voice, I don’t think she ever got the press & promotion necessary to compete, just like Syleena Johnson, and some other great voices out there. However, seen her on Michael Baisden recently and thought, she is on that stuff …- jittering around like Amy Winehouse
Rihanna, maybe I need to hear more of her music, can she really sing? She’s got gimmick and looks and a “beef” with Beyonce to keep her in headlines, but talent? Keyshia Cole either really. Mary J grown, tryna have some class about herself, Keyshia is the new millenium ‘what the 411′ Mary J. Ciara & Ashanti are marginal at best. Not to knock Alisha or Beyonce who has exploded over the last couple of years, but all of them would’ve been clawing for a piece of the action if Aaliyah had not died. I never thought of her as a great vocalist, but she was a total package and had the team and opportunities ahead of her to make her a superstar.

I’m a metalhead, but fell that this needs to be said….Screw you guys!!!!!! Blu Cantrell is Sexy, she still sounds great, and this version owns one republic’s version. She needs to stop with the BS and bless us with another album.

i think it sounds interesting , she has a unique voice the people that put negative comments up here need to seriously find a new hobby , this song wasn’t a good match for her because of the strength of her voice , the lead singer in one republic has a low mellow voice so it works for him .
Never knew a song could be butchered like that, good job BLU.
