It’s been done before. He’s so average. Uniqueness is important in this industry. CB has 0% as well as Omarion. MJ carbon copies. Trey Songz & Lloyd are looked over for them? Big mistake. The real singers should be recognized.

@4 i thought the exact same thing so i looked up some usher songs and it almost has the exact same beat to Usher’s Confessions Pt.1 (Not Confessions Pt.2) they just slow down the tempo or whatever. other than that it sounds okay it’s radio quality

Great song and voice. Not sure that we can differentiate him from Ray J, J. Holiday, Trey Songz and the rest of the carbon carpies though.

I like it. People always gotta find something to hate on. I’m going to be real honest and say that to #3, this guy has better vocals than Chris, O, and Lloyd. Lloyd is not really a vocalist. Don’t get it twisted, I love all of them, but Lee Carr has some skills. You have to give credit where credit is due.
…*sidebar*…He’s cute too. lol

Tuesday, March 18, 2008 /
it’s hot, I like it, but if I hear another song with the ” somebody call the paramedics” line or reference I am going to scream. not only is it cliche’ but it is such an exaggeration, I’m mean really had you ever really died becuz somebody dumped you? vocally toward the end I hoping more “sparks” and “fireworks”. But I guess you gotta work with what you got vocally nevertheless, its a good song. I don’t know if this is a single though. maybe with right video

He sounds too much like Sammie and the song sounds like a song Sammie had on his last album. This guy has a voice but, I think we already have 1 Sammie sooooo not sure how that will work. He’s nothing I haven’t heard of seen before. I wish him luck though.

well, not hating here, but I think we can all agree its been done before. And yes, you can have a new sound even though its 2008, everything hasn’t been done, just gotta try harder. The song is radio quality, and sounds commercial, but generic at the same time, take him out, put omarion in, take omarion out put trey songs in, etc, repeat, need I say Sammy?. It wouldn’t be a different song if any of them sung it. Its cool, but just ordinary.
I think, if producers would stop emulating b.cox for slow songs using those cheap ass Roland’esque pianos, and writing typical songs about the typical stuff, then maybe my opinion would be different. I’m cool with new stuff, but not when it sounds like the same songs I heard last year. I mean, flip the words a little
Change the format, something….
Look at all the horror movies that are remakes of Japan horror flix (Ring , Grudge, Shutter, Premonition, Eye, Pulse) or even remakes of american films (Manchurian Candidate, The Hills Have Eyes) - why, if you have seen them before would you think the remake is significantly better or different (unless the original sucked balls or if the original wasn’t really worth it)?
The same thing is happening with songs like these, they’ve been done before, and after hearing 50+ tracks that sound just like this, I think it is fair to say that it is boring…

Dude can sing, has a nice voice. Song does sound like (insert name). I’m sorry but Ne-Yo is one of the best writers turned singers (even though he always wanted to sing) out there, everyone else is just kinda blah,
Don’t even mention Omarion’s name with this guy because he can actually sing. O and his robo cop movement and no voice can’t see this guy singing.
Chris Brown, lawd I luv Chris Brown but his voice is wack. As a dancer no question the boy is the best, gives me my MJ fixes sometimes. I’m hoping as he gets older his voice will grow with him.
Ppl slept on Sammie but he can also sing and Trey Songz I really liked his first album.
This guy, we’ll see; he needs something hotter than this though. But I can rock it.

this song is old..but lee carr got talent…
and i dont get it..ppl stay complainin “what happened to R&B”…or they “miss the old r&b” blah blah blahhh!!! but when a song comes out yall say ‘its been done b4′ OR this bullshit about being unique..like its been stated b4 nobody is unique and if yall even listen to old school music yall would notice that it all had the same sound (especially in r&b)…so how bout we all just stop complainin about the little shit that dont even matter and appreciate the damn good music

Run of the mill R&B! This represents what is wrong with music right now. Every one is trying to copy the last hit. Dude, you need to take some time to figure out who YOU are as an artist. Or just go write album cuts for DAY 26 or something. This is not a strong single.

I don’t buy the “nobody is unique argument”. That holds NO water.. When Timbaland first came on the scene with the Aaliyas 2nd album “One in a Million” and Ginuwines album “The Bachelor” and Missy’s first album Supa Dupa Fly.. No one had beats like those…and no one had the vocal cadences that Missy wrote for Aaliyas on songs like.. “4 page letter” and “One in a Million” That was an example of someone coming in the game and going 100% left field of what was going on at the moment.
Teddy Riley created his OWN SOUND and production style on albums like . “Guy ” and “The Future” AND even went Pop with Michael’s 3rd best album “Dangerous”…people may have tried to copy that sound but he INVENTED New Jack Swing.
David Foster created his OWN SOUND leading the way with the “Power Ballad” in the 80’s with acts like.. Plenty of R&B acts have benefited from his sound.
Everyone borrows a little but this is getting out of control. There are plenty of people out there who are talented and are different. These corporations keep shoving this same sh&t down the publics throat and expect us to eat it. But I refuse…if you want me to buy your CD or give you my hard earned $0.99 for your MP3 you better come correct and you better be original.
There’s 6 strings on a guitar and 88 keys on a piano. Use them and stops being a biter. This song is “Usher-lite”.. Why buy the boot-leg when the real DVD is coming out next week ?

INGENIOUS IS A MUST!! ppl need to look that word up and apply it. There was James Brown but Mike Jack came and what he did was INGENIOUS. But instead of ppl being INGENIOUS they are just flat out copying and it’s like, please come back around.

I live in the Bahamas were it’s heated daily & i feel the heat from this song waaaayyyy down here.Despite it being ANOTHER typical B. Cox Production (circa 2004 - 2006) the song STILL seems to make contact (even though i herd it a loooong time ago). I think his voice was captured well and it sits over the music gracefully .The mood of the music suites the message sonically so i give it a + in my book . Classic traditional R&B Soul music were melody meets message. This song single handedly made me a fan.

Please! This is the same recycled, cookie cutter BS! A varitable mix of Usher, Mario, Chris Brown, Omarion, and on and on… You can literally hear his voice being electronically enhanced. Talent is worthless in the music industry these days. If it’s this easy to put crap out there and have everyone anxious to plunk down their hard earned cash for this garbage, then I seriously need get in on this.

Boring. Lyrically suspect at best -Got me looking crazy I ain’t got my baby? Stop it! A song is supposed to make you take on the emotions being discussied in the record! Also that intro is way too long. This writer allowed the producer to be self indulgent as if the listener wants to hear 28 seconds of wayward bongo taps and chords. Come Again!

I have studied music for years and can honestly say this is a good song. There have been comparisons to other artists on this comment blog but in my humble opinion this artist has superior vocal skills when compared to Chris Brown and other contemporary artists.
