♫ WYNTER GORDON – SURVEILLANCE (LISTEN)

Meet Wynter Gordon. With R&B moving more and more in a pop direction since ’07, it seems as though a lot of music has gotten lost in translation. Wynter, a new Atlantic Records signee brings you “Surveillance,” a danceable, up-tempo track, where a girl finds herself being followed and surveyed by her jealous man.

“Surveillance” has been eating up the dance world and along with preparing her debut album, she’s also had placements on Danity Kane’s new project, Welcome to the Dollhouse (she has credits on “2 of You,” along with Adonis & Bryan-Michael Cox). The song has grown on me so much – I think maybe because it sounds like a mash-up between Keri Hilson’s “Miscommunication” and any thing from The Dream’s catalog. So what do you think? Is “Surveillance” hot or not?

If you think the song is hot, make sure you check out Wynter Gordon on MySpace and tell her Brian from CL sent you!

As a producer and fan of dance music (specifically electro), I feel that this song was put together very well. Wynter definitely has some skills. And if you’re a white girl… I love you (random thoughts).

  2. singa

She’s Great! God Bless her she can sing don’t hate

  3. Last of the Mohicans

Why is everyone going so hard? If someone thinks that it’s hot, that means that their ears think that it’s hot. If someone think that it’s whack, their ears thinks that it’s whack. It’s obviously not another “Thriller” or anything. Take it for what it is. I’m starting to HATE the music industry with all of it’s politics and gimmicks. Damn this, I’m moving to Antarctica!

  4. Dyvinesun

#63 The got wack music in antarctica too!

This is my first time visiting CL and its because I had to come and check out what you guys got posted about my girl Wynter. I am so proud and happy for her…Surveillance is an awesome track and she got even more hot hits on her MySpace page (check her out peeps) but along with being credited on DK’s new album…she is also on the Motion Picture Soundtrack for Tyler Perry’s new film “Meet the Browns”. The track is called “Unify” and can be purchased on I-Tunes for 99 cents…so check that out…cause its HOT as well. I am so happy for my girl…cannot wait for her album later this year.

Everyone needs to begin to understand that every hit begins with the production, whoever made this beat is good. I work @ Sony BMG Legacy Recordings & need to contact someone that knows the producer of this track.

Thank You all and God Bless

i watched her perform the other night and i dont know if thats a voice synthesizer but she had back up singers from another band (nexis? i think was the name of the band ) helping her out for that. she wasnt bad she was actually pretty good now days performers dont sound the same live

  23. shalea

I love this song so much.I think Wynter Gordon is someone who willl be major.Just watch.People hate it’s just apart of life.Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but even a deaf person could hear that she can sing very well.I am a singer songwriter myself. She is an inspiration to people like me.Signed to a major label wrote for Mary and Danity Kane,I’d say she’s doing pretty well for herself.Go wynter
