There will always be haters out in the wolrd that will try to put u down. Thats why u keep on going because they are just mad that they r not in the same spot u r at.The futher u get the more hater there will be.Im so happy for u.
Yeah I have a couple buds who went to school and worked as interns and under designers and still cant get their lines established or at least noticed. They are awesome designers but dont have the funding and limelight like the Simmon sisters. It is good to see these girls following in their uncles footsteps, but I dont think people are hating when they say that these girls had it pretty simple and didnt have to go thru as much as someone just starting from scratch. Im not a fan of the shoes or show but Im happy kids are rocking something that some positive black girls are a part of.
I wish some of my friends had an uncle in the industry of dad with a show to promote them, they would probably have 15 mil in sales too .and that is an over exaggerated number . That amount was sold to retailers, not people..but I hope they keep doing positive things with their lives!
I love this family. Congrats to them for keeping it positive. They are good role models.

The only thing that I don’t like about the Simmons family is that they make it look so easy. Angela wakes up one morning and decides “i wanna start a magazine!” and her father helps her get it done. ETC.

At a time when Britney Spears and her younger sister are basically senseless and untalented but yet, they seem to rake up all the media and news for their foolywang lives, Paris Hilton and her useless sister to boot…here it is Rev Run’s girls trying to hold their own.
I admire them, as young black enterprising women like them and Raven Simone are the young black future of our young women today!
I am SO proud of them! At at time when there is no morality or human decency left in the media and for young girls to look up….they are a shinning and good example for young women to follow!
I don’t know much about the shoes, however, here on the West Coast/Bay Area, I have not seen much of them,which means there is room for them to grow with marketing and franchising department store endorsements, etc. They are not leaning on Uncle Russ, or Auntie Kimora…they are doing it on their own!
God Bless them and keep them grounded and hopefully back to college one day soon!

Ive read some of the most ignorant comments ever. Angela has not had any work done, she lost some weight. The girls didn’t cut their hair to get a weave, THEY TOOK THEIR WEAVE OUT TO WEAR THEIR HAIR SHORT FOR A WHILE AND THEN THEY PUT THE WEAVE BACK IN!!! LMAO

oh yeah, i forgot, you’re so right….yes, angela lost weight and that caused her nose to narrow greatly and change shape….please forgive me, i don’t know what i was thinking..nose narrowing and reshaping during weight lost happens all the time. In fact, i don’t know why people even get nose jobs, they should just lose weight and their nose will instantly narrow and be reshaped….silly me…

These are some really positive females, even though Angela posed for maxim magazine in a slightly revealing lingerie outfit and did a small love scene on some soap opera. Why are people critizing these girls? They don’t have sex tapes, don’t appear half naked with their ass on the cover of a men’s magazine, don’t F*ck around, haven’t had children out of wed lock, don’t smoke or get sloppy drunk, and haven’t gotten breast implants to flaunt like many black females celebs are doing now-a-days. I don’t buy their sneakers and don’t plan to, but I do wish them the best of luck and hope that they will continue to be themselves and very positive.
#15, you said it all. These sisters are positive black women doing the damn thing and people are hating on them. If they were being negative people would be calling them hoes and such. Show some support people! Damn, they are doing it big.
I wouldn’t personally wear their shoes cause it’s not my style and I’m not in their target demographic, but I like the fact that they started their OWN company and have been successful thus far. Good for them. I watch runs house all the time and they are always into some project. Go do the damn thing ladies for real.
I don’t see pastry’s in Texas but hey like everyone had been saying, someone is buying them. So kudos to them for making the cheddar the right way, bravo!
People are hating on the fact that they got it easy and others are struggling to get noticed. Yes that is unfortunate but it’s the nature of the business. Russell Simmons and Rev Run gave them the platform to launch their shoe line and had they not been related, they probably wouldn’t be where they are now.
They are where they are and give them some credit for not just using their name and riding with it. They are doing other things outside pastry and they are positive. Ya’ll know that they are also spokes models for Girl Scouts of America! Come on now if that isn’t a good thing then I’m dumbfounded cause some of you guys are saying some crazy negative stuff about them.
Let them sell their shoes and leave them alone.
Oh and if I was Vanessa and Angela and I was rolling in the dough like them, I would be wearing all lengths of weave and I have natural long hair. Heck I would rock long one day and short the next, do you gals and don’t listen to the haters!

I’m a person that like color and I’m not a teenager but I am in my early 20′s and I think those kicks go real hard. I would work them with the right item of clothing but then again I’m also a kick feign.
