Could she be the Cassie of 2008? Jayms Madison has certainly created an online buzz for herself with the new track “Room Service,” which has been making audio appearances on MySpace. Also, dancers have been going off about it due to the video blogs of her rehearsals and auditions for dancers with choreographer, Jonte`, who has become most famous because of his work with Beyonce on “Freakum Dress.”
I can’t say that I’m too impressed with Ms. Madison’s vocals, however, “Room Service” is definitely a catchy tune that puts me directly in the mindset of Cassie’s first storm onto the scene with “Me & U” and “Just One Nite.” We’ll see though. What do you guys think? Is “Room Service” intoxicatingly hot or annoyingly not?

I’ve seen this chic somewhere singing live and she actually had a strong voice… No comparison to ASSIE… I mean, Cassie at all… She’s cute too and unfortunately that’s all it takes these days… SIGH

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Concreteloop you got it all twisted with this girl. You can’t compare her to Cassie, Cassie can’t sing if it would save her life. I been up on Ms. Madison and she can blow she has like 2 more songs on her myspace page and homegirl can blow. She’s just not showing her vocal skills like that on this song because this is more like a party joint. You don’t have to go off on every song just to let someone know you can sing.
i didn’t like cassie but the crazy thing is a lot of people did-who were into those simple, boring beats…i’d be at the club like what is this? lol
i think brian should run a post on princess’s pretty rave girl from the CL Radio, that song is so hot it’s not even funny!
Actually it sounded like he was talking about her vocals, and after hearing the song I thought shes another pretty girl with no voice.
But I will check her myspace and youtube and see if she can actually sing.

Visited the myspace page, and I have to say that Cassie wishes she could hit a note like this girl, she’s not the strongest voice I’ve ever heard, but she’s A LOT stronger than Cassie. I like her songs, hope she makes it!
As you listen further into the song, she actually sounds like she may have a nice verbratto..Cassie was a karoake contestant who fell between the cracks..I’m a look her up on YOU TUBE..Thanks CL bloggers for the info!!

I wasn’t too much referring to her voice as far as the whole cassie comparison. I was more talking about the approach of the whole myspace thing, and the song sneaking up on everyone.
jayms voice is actually great live, but the performance on “room service,” is nothing stellar, vocally.
I just listend to her songs on myspace and youtube and wasn’t impressed with the vocals. She sounds the same in every song- she sings the same note, I couldn’t hear much range in the songs.
Not my cup of tea but maybe the room service song will grow on me

I damn near fell out of my chair when I hit the play button and she sounded EXACTLY like Cassie. If you had’ve done a guess who, I would have gotten it wrong because I would’ve assumed it was her. But like you said, it is catchy. I’d jam to it. But she isn’t showcasing the vocals at all. I have to go with hot. She isn’t trying to do a ballad, for the mood she is trying to go for and with the electronica techno playing in the background, her voice works in this particular situation.
The Cassie of 2008? As in void of all vocal capabilities? Judging from this song, she just might be. It’s sad that the Cassies and Rihannas of the world still continue to dominate the industry while the Stacie Orricios, Blu Cantrells, and other talented artists are left to fend for themselves.
But seeing as though a majority of the Loopies on here say that she can really blow, I guess I’ll check out youtube before I make my final verdict.
I like it too but I’m glad to hear that she can really sing. I’m tired of Cassies who have no talent whatsoever but they have dope ass production and they are praised based off of that. Looks does not equal talent!
I think the song was OK not HOT! But I like her voice but I wouldn’t compare her to Cassie, I mean be 4 real, this chick can ACTUALLY sing. Anyway if she had a better hook to the song and a better beat to the song it would of been HAWT!

You have to listen to Jayms’ other songs – she is one of my favorites artist already. She’s nothing like Cassie – you need to listen to her other songs like Lovely (snippet) and I Need Help – both are great songs and show her range.

I love Concrete Loop because they always keep me in the loop with the HOTTEST new artist and new music from artist I already know and love…however, the comparision to Cassie and Jayms is not fair or accurate. After reading the blogs b/c the comparison was made people are stuck on making this girl a clone of Cassie and she is NOT. She CAN SANG!!! First of all this particular song is FUN and not meant to belt out a Whitney Houston but trust I have heard her sing and she can if she needs to!
I live in NYC and have been to several venues where Ms. Madison has performed and she has impressed me so much that I have become a fan. THIS GIRL IS HOT – DONT SLEEP ON HER! She can sing and combined with the FIERCENESS of Jonte (Google and Youtube them both if you dont believe me) makes her probably one of the BEST new artist in my opinion.
Do your research folks…join her myspace page and look for a bulletin on her next NYC performance and I promise you – you will see a TRUE STAR!

Miss Jayms is definitely hot! There is most certainly something about a girl named Jayms and I’m happy to see her on this site. I love this song, its really fun and sexy. And I’ve seen her live with Jaiden another star. The girls got undeniable talent and an extremely unique voice.

Jayms Madison is a very eclectic, under rated indie artist. She images typical, and then when the performance starts, she makes you slide to the edge of your seat, and then she does the unexpected vocally, and then makes you stand to your feet. “Room Service” Is provocatively an airplay single to catch the audience attention as a new Artist. She has multifaceted potential, and her style is edgy. Believe me, if you want to compare her to Cassie, please leave it in the form of beauty, cause Vocally, and Performance wise, she’s sure to be in the footsteps of Beyonce. I mean.. Check out her Team! *laughs…

The Cassie reference is wrong for a couple of reasons. First, Jayms is really talented and can sing her behind off while Cassie can’t sing but is really pretty. Also, Me & U was a smash, but this Room Service record is cool but it’s not a smash. Check out Estelle’s “American Boy” or Leona Lewis’ new record for hot new music.
