Tell me about your friendship outside of music.
E: We met years ago, but we really – like three years ago – got close because of the miracle of technology. We began talking everyday on IM, and Tip started sending me music, and our relationship started to really flower. In the 10 years we’ve known each other, with anything that’s happening in his life, I’m there for him, and vice versa. And anybody around the circle, we’re all the same way. That’s how we communicate. That’s my brother. I’m sure a lot of people would like to be little birdies on those conversations.

Just as an aside, i’m not too crazy about the broken english used by q-tip in the article BUT the magazine is the s–t! I most definitely wll be purchasing it. Its nice to see a magazine showcasing up and coming black talent in other artistic genres besides the usual rap artists. If you haven’t checked it out – you should.
