Fantasia told MTV news this week that Oprah is working on the second movie adaptation of “The Color Purple” but, as a musical this go around – and yes, she is going to star in the film:
“We haven’t started yet because I’m going to work on my album. I think it’s fair that I committed myself, and promised that after I finish going on a tour, I’ll be ready to come back and commit myself to Miss Celie again,” Fantasia explained. “I miss my music”
So impressed with her command of the role, Oprah & Co. are going to wait for Fantasia to be ready before moving ahead with the movie to musical to movie musical adaptation, the singer beamed.
“They’re going to work with me. They don’t have to [but] that’s a favor,” Fantasia said. “Working with someone like Miss Oprah who’s so talented and amazing – It’s a blessing.” READ MORE

Beyonce is serious with her acting this year. With the exciting news of her playing Etta James in Cadillac Records, Variety reported today she will be doing another film with “The Wire”‘s Idris Elba titled Obsessed:
Steve Shill will direct a script by David Loughery. Will Packer produces, and Knowles will be exec producer along with her father, Mathew Knowles.
Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper is finalizing cast deals, working with Knowles’ and Larter’s reps to iron out scheduling kinks. Knowles is also producing and co-starring as Etta James in “Cadillac Records” for Sony BMG; Larter is working on episodes of NBC’s “Heroes.”
In “Obsessed,” Elba will play an asset manager who has a knockout wife (Knowles) and thriving career until a temp office worker (Larter) begins stalking him. READ MORE

KELLY ADMITS TO BREAST IMPLANTS
Rumors were going around after a few recent bikini photos, that Kelly Rowland had breast implants. E! News reported this week that Kelly admitted to People magazine she did infact, have minor breast enhancement:
The singer came to the revelation on the upcoming issue of People magazine, saying that the surgery took place in October last year in Houston. The reason she did it, according to Jen Garcia from People, is not because she wants to compete with her former bandmate Beyonce Knowles but because one of the things, is to fit into designer outfits. She, reportedly has wanted this operation since she was 17. On choosing what size she wants, the magazine quoted her as saying, “…simply went from an A-cup to a B-cup… I didn’t want double Ds and be a little bitty size 2, that would look nuts!”. WATCH VIDEO

Fantasia was fabulous in this role on Broadway and received more glowing reviews then the original Celie who won the tony. Broadway is much harder the movies so if she could go to broadway LIVE and rule their I have no doubt that she will be nominated for an Oscar for this role. Whether she wins or not is up in the air but she will surely be nominated. Oprah isn’t willing to wait for nothing, she witnessed the magic already. Get ready world for the performance that will be talked about for many years to come. Go Fantasia.
Additionally, I love how Fantasia is putting her music first, you know where her heart really is cuz anybody else would have been jumping all of this role to do it immediately. I’m happy she’s staying true to her real love of music first. I can’t wait for this movie, no wonder they closed down the broadway show, the producers of that sshow are probably busy working on the movie screenplay as we speak.

Oh lord help me, so now if no one hires you, i guess as always you have to buy your way in.
It seems to be the only way she is able to knows how to work instead of letting it go natural.
She probably bought the role so that she can control the environment, and shoot the scenes over and over until she gets it right cause no damn director is gonna put up with that. Somebody tell this child that she can buy all the roles she wants but she will have to act herself! Nobody can do that for you, either you have it natural or NOT! and after all the roles (that she didn’t deserve anyway) she played, she’s still bad.
Let me break it down for ya right here.
To be an actress you have to have emotion to play a role, a personality, an ability to show people what your going through.
She doesn’t have that because she is a robot, her music is also emotionless because she is not doing it for the love of the music but to quickly make money. In the music industry you can fake it and buy your way to the top so that it seems that your succesful but the movie industry is a whole different ballgame.
She has been fake for so long, trying to be something she is not, she doesn’t know how to act like a normal person anymore.
And that’s why she will never be a good actress because she lacks the personality you need to portray a character.
Kelly could get it before the boob job. And she can still get it now!
