Beyonce on the cover of the April ’08 issue of JACK Magazine
Beyonce released an official statement on her website, BeyonceOnline.com about the leaking of the new song, “Beautiful Nightmare.”
“Yesterday, ‘Beautiful Nightmare,’ a demo I’ve been working on for possible inclusion on my next album, leaked on some websites. I want to thank all my fans for the positive response to the song, but I want to tell you that this is just a work in progress.
It is not my time to put out new music. If you really want to hear some really great music now, you have to support my girls Kelly, Michelle and my sister Solange. Kelly just re-released her album digitally in the US, so check out Ms. Kelly: Diva Deluxe. Michelle is about to put out the first single, ‘We Break The Dawn,’ from her album and Solange’s single, ‘I Decided,’ is already one of my favorites.”
I think it’s really hilarious that she is shamelessly plugged all her best girlfriends in her statement. Something about this just feels like none of that came from Beyonce’s mouth. I’m glad that she’s saying that it’s not time for her to put out new music. I love Beyonce as much as the next person, but I really want her to just focus on this movie and then concentrate on the music side. (Thanks to Larry for sending this in.)
CHRIS BROWN TO RERELEASE EXCLUSIVE
Seems like it’s the year of the rerelease and repackaging. Chris Brown is next up on the list. In a couple of months, he plans to rerelease his sophomore album, Exclusive, with a few extra tracks as well as a DVD with music videos and an inside look on his US tour.
“It’s very fortunate, my label wants me to repackage the album and release some new records,” Brown explained. “I’ve been recording a lot of new records as well as having some songs that haven’t been released yet that I can put on my repackaging. I might put my tour that I did in the States on my repackaging. I did a big tour in the States. I want to put that in the DVD part, add some of my videos on it.”
The new single is titled “Forever,” and is produced by none other than Polow Da Don. Chris says that the track has a more European, house-pop flavor. Not surprised. It has taken the place of the song “Down,” which was being considered for Brown’s 4th single from the album.
“We went into the studio, Polow gave me a beat, and I just started writing. His record is more of a European, techno, house-type feel. We wanted to give it that other side of crossover, and go a little bit to that pop realm. Hopefully, I’ll be the Prince of Pop. I don’t want to say I’m the King; I just hopefully can be the Prince of Pop.”

Glad it was just a “work in progress” because it was nothing special. I’m over Chris Brown too. Can’t wait for the era of little boy singers to be over.

Beautiful Nightmare sounded like a cool track but it didn’t seem like something Beyonce would actually release. It sounded more like something she was just playing around with. My guess is that she is going to take her time next time around to be sure she puts out the best songs she can find. I also think she has heard about all the flack with her not letting Kelly, Michelle and Solange shine a little bit. Its sweet that she’s taking it to heart but I don’t know what good it will do. B just has the star quality and she shouldn’t have to down play it.

I disagree with #22, Beyonce is no airhead she has a great business sense on her. SO IN ORDER TO MAKE MORE MONEY OFF OF THE ALBUM, THEY ADD A FEW MORE “UNRELEASED” TRACKS/DVD INSERTS THAT THEY PURPOSEFULLY DIDNT ADD TO THE ORIGINAL CD SO THAT THE LITTLE GIRL STANS OF THE WORLD WILL PRESSURE THEIR MOMMIES TO GO TO BEST BUY AND REBUY IT CAUSE THERE ARE NEW PICTURES, SONGS, AND A VIDEO!
