Beyonce on the cover of the April ’08 issue of JACK Magazine
Beyonce released an official statement on her website, BeyonceOnline.com about the leaking of the new song, “Beautiful Nightmare.”
“Yesterday, ‘Beautiful Nightmare,’ a demo I’ve been working on for possible inclusion on my next album, leaked on some websites. I want to thank all my fans for the positive response to the song, but I want to tell you that this is just a work in progress.
It is not my time to put out new music. If you really want to hear some really great music now, you have to support my girls Kelly, Michelle and my sister Solange. Kelly just re-released her album digitally in the US, so check out Ms. Kelly: Diva Deluxe. Michelle is about to put out the first single, ‘We Break The Dawn,’ from her album and Solange’s single, ‘I Decided,’ is already one of my favorites.”
I think it’s really hilarious that she is shamelessly plugged all her best girlfriends in her statement. Something about this just feels like none of that came from Beyonce’s mouth. I’m glad that she’s saying that it’s not time for her to put out new music. I love Beyonce as much as the next person, but I really want her to just focus on this movie and then concentrate on the music side. (Thanks to Larry for sending this in.)
CHRIS BROWN TO RERELEASE EXCLUSIVE
Seems like it’s the year of the rerelease and repackaging. Chris Brown is next up on the list. In a couple of months, he plans to rerelease his sophomore album, Exclusive, with a few extra tracks as well as a DVD with music videos and an inside look on his US tour.
“It’s very fortunate, my label wants me to repackage the album and release some new records,” Brown explained. “I’ve been recording a lot of new records as well as having some songs that haven’t been released yet that I can put on my repackaging. I might put my tour that I did in the States on my repackaging. I did a big tour in the States. I want to put that in the DVD part, add some of my videos on it.”
The new single is titled “Forever,” and is produced by none other than Polow Da Don. Chris says that the track has a more European, house-pop flavor. Not surprised. It has taken the place of the song “Down,” which was being considered for Brown’s 4th single from the album.
“We went into the studio, Polow gave me a beat, and I just started writing. His record is more of a European, techno, house-type feel. We wanted to give it that other side of crossover, and go a little bit to that pop realm. Hopefully, I’ll be the Prince of Pop. I don’t want to say I’m the King; I just hopefully can be the Prince of Pop.”

@180 i’m kinda feeling what you saying but come on you make being a beyonce fan a life changing event. i mean yeah she super talented but without a mike or a stage in front of her……… she boring. yeah i said it. and with alicia yeah she really doesn’t need to put out another single, momma made her money and can sit down for now. that’s why alicia is a huge success because she know when to sit her butt down and chill for a minute. that’s why people went out and bought her CD like crazy because they didn’t see or hear from alicia for a while.

Seems like a stunt to me. When has a Beyonce track ever been leaked. Way to test the water for tracks for the next album, while also promoting Kelly and nem’ in the statement. Must say I really like the track tho.

Now I am not a Beyonce fan but I must admit that many of you are hating on the girl. Did Beyonce write the statement? Of course not her publicist did which is something that ALL celebrities is Beyonce being criticised for something that the majority of celbrities. It is common to have a spokesperson speak on the celebrity’s behalf.
Yes, I am glad that Beyonce is taking a break from music and exploring further into movies. However, like someone else said many people only want Beyonce to take a break in order for their favorite artists to shine. Some people have it and some people do not have it. It is what it is. And Beyonce taking a break from the music scene is no guarantee that some of these other ladies are going to blow up and take over the game because if that was the case they would have already done so regardless of whether or not Beyonce is releasing music.

Why should she even have to release a statement to promote Kelly Michelle or Solange. Don’t we all know Kelly is out and that those 2 are getting ready to come out. If yall would take the time and go support them by buying there albums it wouldn’t be a problem. How many millions yall make this year not even half a million? So damn what she aint in the top 15 top selling singer yet I bet she real damn close. 4 albums out of 6 including one ofsolo albums have diamonds that means selling 10 million or more albums. And another one which is Destiy fulfilled is 1.5 million away from having a diamond. All those singers you mentioned other than Britney have been out 15 -35 years making music so please with that mess.
