According to our good friends at Rap-Up.com, Nelly is putting the finishing touches on his first album in four years, Brass Knuckles, due June 24th via Universal Records.

We just recently posted his new single, “Party People,” with Fergie last week in our new music review, and a video was just shot for the single last week in Los Angeles, directed by Marc Webb. The new album will contain productions from Polow Da Don, Jermaine Dupri and more.

Rap-Up.com has exclusively reveal that the album will also feature collaborations with T.I., LL Cool J, Chuck D, Akon, and Ciara, who is featured on the Jermaine Dupri-produced “Stepped On My J’s.” The track is a tribute to Nike Air Jordans, which Nelly describes as “‘Grillz’ and ‘Air Force Ones’ on steroids.”

“I love Jordans. I’ve been wearing Jordans since I can remember. Ciara loves Jordans and I thought it was a crazy fit. Ciara, J.D., and I are all from the Jordan era. The song is bananas! I can’t wait for people to hear it ’cause CiCi got busy,” Nelly tells Rap-Up.com.

I think that Nelly is one of those artists that has done a really good job as far as crossing over into the mainstream. He’s one of those artists that most people have really grown to like.

Billboard.com had an exclusive listening session of Michelle Williams new album. We’ve found that the album has officially been titled Unexpectedand is set for August release via Music World/Columbia. It’s been a long time coming for Michelle! I honestly thought she would release before Kelly, and she’s had two releases…

The new album boasts tracks from producers like Stargate, Rico Love, the Heavyweights, Wayne Wilkins, Andrew Frampton and SoulShock & Karl. The first single that they’ve chosen to go with is “We Break the Dawn,” while the Stargate-produced “Stop This Car” will follow. Here’s the official tracklisting for Michelle’s Unexpected:

The set features pulsating beats on “Lucky Girl,” where Williams uses a vocoder; “The Greatest,” utilizes a martial drum pattern and a winding piano riff; the “Pump Up the Jam”-esque “Private Party;” and the Heavyweights-produced “Thank You,” where Williams sings, “While you were out getting yours, boy I was getting mine/I want to thank you for the times you cheated on me.“

Kanye West has joined the roster of contributors to Lil’ Wayne’s long-in-the-works album Tha Carter III, tentatively due in May via Cash Money/Universal.

“I hope it sells well,” Wayne said of the album. “I never boast because I know you can come out and not sell one record. I put my all into it, it’s me on a platter so if you don’t like it, then you don’t like me.”

Wayne told Billboard in February that Hurricane Chris, Corey Gunz, Tyga, Jibbs, Shanell, Kidd Kidd, Mack Maine and Lil’ Mama have recorded features for the album. In addition, the rapper has worked with Alchemist and Cool & Dre. The new album’s first single, “Lollipop,” is the top debut this week at No. 56 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and a video debuted sometime last week.
