I’m so happy for Danity Kane. I have the album and it is fire. I’m not even a huge pop type of person but I loved their first album and loving the second. I think my favorite songs are Strip tease and Poetry they have a great haromious sound. Congrats to them for getting over the sophomore hump. I’m sure it won’t take them long to go platinum again.

Sound scan is a fraud! There is no way that Danity Kane is legitimately number one with no radio airplay and not rotation. I believe BAD BOY is buying back their album and that the instores are double and triple scanning.

well frankly dk didnt need radioplay or promotion because of the simple fact that they had this thing called a tv show in their corner,nobody needed a single,all they knew was that dk is coming back out and they got to see the process of the album,unlike other artist who might need about a month or two of radio play before even thinking about coming out with a cd……..but hey you could be right,anythings possible in the music industry.

I agree with #34……I didn’t have much faith and liking to Danity Kane when the group was first formed, but these girls proved that they are FIYAH……They will most definitely go platinum with this album, just as well as they did on their first album (just watch)! You just can’t hate on any group or solo act that goes platinum twice! They sell because they bring something different than any other female group……..I like them more than i liked Destiny’s Child….they most definitely dance WAAAY better and more technical than DC, and i actually like their live performances a lot better! Give them about another year…..and they will be unstoppable! I’m so glad these girls have proved that their can be a successful girl group that brings pure HOTNESS! Well. if I made an ORIGINAL song and melody and someone used it without my permission, I’d want my money as well.

I like most of Kanye’s music, but he needs to do his homework before doing these songs. This is the second time he has been sued for copying someone. It’s looking sloppy on his part and on the part of the label.

Actually # 8 she DOES have a lacefront (or a weave). there were pics of her recently with neck length relaxed hair that looked pretty damaged. If any of this is true, the label should fire its legal team connected to the release of the song without proper written release by the original artist.

Congrats to DK I have the album and am enjoying it. To me it isn’t as good as the first one. The thing about DK is that they didn’t need big radio spins to sell they got MTV on lock now that the album has come out the gate doing well peeps who may not watch the show will be interested so the spins will come and they may sell steadily instead of dropping out of the top 10 in 2 weeks like others.

If Kanye used this guy’s music without permission he has the right to sue. I find it hard to believe that someone who samples as much as Kanye does wouldn’t take the time to get clearance but we’ll see what happens. If it was your piece of work being used and this is how you make a living I’d like to think you would have the common sense to get what you deserve, so I don’t know why some folks are cyber killing the dude for going after what may be his. Not sure about 85% but it will be interesting to see what happens.

The reality is that nearly every successful modern artist has their record label pay radio stations and tv music channels to play their music/videos. for instance when justin tims song “sexy back” came out everyone was like WTF but because it got so much radio play it grew on people and so they bought it and his album did well. Im not saying that DK have done the same thing beacuse I actually have, but to think that musicians dont do it is naiive.

DK probablly will go platinum but they are not an international group like PCD, Destinys child or TLC. DK are currently almost unheard of in Europe at present (i hope that changes) so they need to work on theyre international market if they want to be the next biggest thing. Ive watched MTB and though I like DK i’d rather buy day26’s album because I think they have more talented singers in the group.
