Gotta give her credit cause she actually looks good in these pictures. But singers who switch back and forth between gospel and secular music kill me. It’s not that you have to be absolutely exclusive to one or the other since we are all dynamic people. But when the secular image is one that blatantly promotes and sells overt sexuality, which is undeniable based on the mini skirt and booty sticking out, it screams contradiction. Quite frankly, I think Michelle is an artist who looked at the opportunities available to her and took the one that made the most business sense - I mean, I believe she understood that she could not compete with Beyonce as a soloist in RnB or Pop. She is a singer, there was a void in young female falsettos in Contempary Gospel - she filled that void and did very well, extremely well.

She parlayed that success and her success in DC to gain notoriety and opportunities in theatre - and she did that well too. She created a path that was independent of Beyonce - and now she’s is just continuing to take advantage of the opportunities.

She has always done secular music - look at the DC lyrics — Like many of the RnB artists, she is christian, she grew up singing in the church - but she’s an artist, and she capitalized on an opportunity that was put before her. I don’t think she’s confused, and most christians get their understanding from the Bible, not the Billboard 100. No matter what she is doing - GOD is still GOD, and if she is singing his praises and sounding good, it’s worth a listen.

C’mon now, even Diddy has at least two gospel songs - and they are good, but he ain’t trying to lead a congregation.

She created her own path of success without the Knowles intervention. She was on Broadway in Chicago with the “The Color Purple” musical and I heard she did a very good job as playing Shug Avery. Also you can tell she got a new stylist without the Knowles fashion sense because home girl would’ve had bad make-up and clothes lol. The new hair cut is becoming of her looks because she use to look old now she looks age appropriate. She looks sexy sophisticated and it shocked me on how fierce she looks from her usual self. People don’t know but she had the most personality out of Destiny’s Child and was actually the least shy one in the group but we didn’t know that because they always had Beyonce and Kelly talk lol.
