Ok this is crazy. I was shock about the child support payments and serving time in jail, but his death. It is really devasted me upon hearing about Gerald’s died. Oh my God, I am speechless at this point.

I heard this story mentioned by Tom Joyner on the way in to work this morning. It made me cry. Having experienced several close deaths in a family its hard as h#$$. I can only imagine what the family is experiencing at this time. I extend my condolences to the LeVert family.

We know that God is an awesome GOD, but the reality is that this is definitely a hard pill to swallow…So shortly after losing his older brother - a music phenom and legend. It was reported this morning that his death is believed to be a result of a severe anxiety attack…God bless the grieving at this time!

As sad as this story is, it is also even more sad how the media screws up the story. He went to the infermiry (sp) complaining of not feeling well and then collapsed. He died later at the hospital shortly before midnight. My prayers go out to the Levert family.

Why wasn’t he paying child support?

It’s bad enough that one child precedes the parents in death, but two is just awful. Maybe they can draw strength from a lady in Inglewood, CA., who lost three sons inside of a matter of days. One son was killed and when the others were investigating what happened to their brother, they were subsequently killed. Mom is active in the community, trying to right some wrong behaviors involving our youths.

Dang that’s rough losing two children. My prayers are with the family.

too much death but that’s nature I lost my parents 3 years apart from each other plus my first cousin and my aunt which was his mom died a year apart from each other plyus my other cousin was shot in the back, and my other cousin in serving 10 yeears for bashing his moms head with a hammer and she is now a vegatble in a nursing home while my uncle died while slipping off a roof. my baby moms lost her second child in a premature birth and I don’t think I was the father, while I lost 5 of my other relatives to aids-hiv while my other cousin contracted hiv through his blind homosexual lover.

I just saw this on MSN.com and thought this has to be a joke. Just the other morning, I heard he was being sent to jail for back child support,now he’s not here. May God rest his soul. I know his family must be so heartbroken and devastated by this. May he rest in peace-with his brother Gerald.

Please forgive me but I think i’m too young to remember exactly what songs they sang…except, ‘written all over your face’ with Gerald Levert which still gets played out today (for me anyway) but its still such a loss, if not to the world but to the families especially in that way, makes you think doesn’t it. Back in the 80 Levert was the most copied group I can think of and I’m not just saying that. My group sang all of thier love songs; I am deeply saddend by this news and may God bless the family. When I got the call this morning, informing me about the latest news and the loss of Sean Levert, all I could do is reflect on the good times we had during my tenture as Producer of BET’s Video Soul.
