Michelle Williams debuts her new single from her third studio album, Unexpected. Although this will be Michelle’s third solo album (she has released the most solo albums out of her other former bandmates), it is Michelle’s first contemporary R&B release. She’s always been successful in the gospel world, but this time around, Michelle is testing her solo reign out in a different genre with a new look to boot.

“We Break the Dawn” is the new single, after a few leaked snippets from the album. Originally, fans thought that the first single would be the Ne-Yo written and Stargate-produced “Stop This Car.” But the official single is an up-tempo, feel-good track that I think is just right for Michelle’s introduction to the scene.
