Although the candidates agreed to play nicer on Friday, two days later Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama had clashed over his ties to an indicted Chicago businessman and her tax records.

The Clinton campaign questioned Obama’s judgment in dealing with Antoin “Tony” Rezko, who is currently facing federal charges of attempted extortion, money laundering and fraud.

Obama’s campaign retorted that it was “the height of hypocrisy for Sen. Clinton to demand the release of documents already on our campaign website” while she has refused to release her full tax returns during her time in the Senate.

OBAMA’S CHURCH LASHES OUT AT MEDIA

Last week, Sen. Barack Obama addressed the controversial remarks by his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. His church, Trinity United Church of Christ, is now offering its thoughts on the media coverage and “character assassination” of Wright.

“It is an indictment on Dr. Wright’s ministerial legacy to present his global ministry within a 15- or 30-second sound bite,” Otis Moss III, the current pastor of the church said in a statement.

“The African American Church was born out of the crucible of slavery and the legacy of prophetic African American preachers since slavery has been and continues to heal broken marginalized victims of social and economic injustices,” Moss also said. “This is an attack on the legacy of the African American Church which led and continues to lead the fight for human rights in America and around the world.”

  1. OK for #15, 17 and 22.

Ya’ll miss what I was saying. I didn’t say crap about Obama being perfect and God.
Read the damn message again OK.

I said, “why is media making such a big deal of this whole situation with him & the preacher”.

Then I mention ” about the white politicians coming to the BLACK CHURCHES for the BLACK VOTE and needed it. Hillary’s camp are feeling the pressure, cause Obama is a breath of fresh air and really bringing togetherness to his campaign and it is wonderful to have him running a DREAM in fact.

I was not bashing him or wanting to become president, hell I’m excited and think this mess is going to slow him down a moment is all I was trying to say.

I HOPE THIS CLEAR THE AIR!!!

Well Barack has to know to distance himself from this type of stuff running for president. I think he lies just like all the other politicians, how the hell you gonna say you never heard or knew about those statements. Dude you been going to that church for 20 years and you never heard or knew about those statements, yeah right. Secondly people attend churches that reflect their views and values, hopefully Barack doesn’t have the same values or views as his pastor. Third how can Barack attend a church that his own mother wouldnt feel comfortable going to, considering she is white.

    @48

Show me the big picture. All that I said and you have no refutation. You have no refutation against the truth. To many black people want to make everything personal because our people have become simple. Bottom line is that you’re an idiot.

    SINCE YOUR’RE MODERATING…

PLEASE POST THIS INSTEAD..WITHOUT ALL THE TYPOS OF THE LAST AND LESS EXPLETIVES… :-]

Judah i can easily comment on what you’re saying…and what ur saying is basic for anyone who has a basic grasp of race stratification or international politics, so please don’t act like u educating the masses, atleast ure not educating me, so other sheep can ooooh and ahhhh at ish u saying…

ure not telling me anything i dont know already, but you are generalizing a whole race of people. White people. Though many are racist all aren’t. Though America is partially and in some cases entirely to blame for the conditions in the middle east etc…you have to also know that many of these societies also allow this shit to happen. You can’t blame America for all the ills of he World.

what is America doing that is different than what England did when they were the World Power? Its the same shit, and its a cycle that will probably always exist , there will always be a core and there will always be a periphery ….there will always be dependence on the US as long as it is the world power and if China were to become the hegemon of our region, we will also depend on China. Such is the order of things..

My issue with your stupid idiotic statements is that you can’t see the bigger idea of unity, even if it is semi-unity or isn’t true unity , but at least a society that comes together for a cause. I don’t believe Obama is any type of savior that can bring this about, but if he is elected President i’m telling you unity had MUCH to do with it. America will always be a society of different races, nationalities and cultures. Obama isn’t running for President of the Black Union, he is running for President of America – the melting pot of the world. He has to embrace unity because we cannot focus on only black issues to win.,He is not ignoring the black community. And having an understanding of the need for equality among races isn’t selling out. It is understanding that we need each other to survive. You are stuck in a racist mentality where you are only concerned with blacks and that is fine and all but there is a bigger world outside of your world view. A world where people are capable of being accepting of others of different races.

You claim to believe in God yet you have a separatist mentality that is NOT of God. You rant and rave about Harlem and blacks and affirmative action, but you’d never grasp the basic concepts we need in order to move forward in America. There must be an understanding and recognition of White Privilege, which alienates blacks and other minorities and there must also be an attaining of the black community to further itself and not blame it on THE MAN on every occasion. I personally agree with what the Rev said but not ALL of what he said, neither do i entirely agree with how he said it and the context in which he said it. They cannot take that sort of stagnant mentality to a church where there are impressionable minds. And if you are going to take your political views to church it has to be tasteful and at least hopeful, the doctrine of God is based on hopefulness, loving your enemies etc. This is our reality and many whites don’t and never will understand it but people died in 9/11, yes white people mostly, but still people….there must be some compassion for these people and a discussion of America’s problems can be discussed in a proper forum.

I believe in Black empowerment, but blacks also tend to use the race card alot and don’t wanna do shit for themselves. lets face it alot of blacks perpetuate every effing stereotype that White America puts on us, our families are broken , black men wanna be pimps and women wana shake their ass in videos, u over there blaming that ALL on the white man? That is f*ckery..plain and simple and little u say will get my respect because ure stuck on some bullsh*t…

  10. 2006 TAX RETURNS NOT 2007

They are asking her to release her 2006 (NOT 2007 – every idiot knows the deadline for 2007 hasn’t come yet) BUT why won’t she release her 2006 – everyone else has. It’s true, she is hiding something.

  11. SheSaysNothing

Oh ok Judah, lol, soz for calling u an idiot too.
I feel lots of things u have said. As it happens, what will be will be. black people will never get really get the rights they deserve here on earth- no matter how hard they fight. in as much as we blacks want to make everything all comfortable for our race, we are here on earth for a limited time. We all need to focus on where we as individuals will go after our time is up because where we will end up will be where we shall dwell for eternity.

  12. SheSaysNothing

    @ flylike

I dont think judah is blaming america at all. Black people use the race card a lot but isnt that really all they have to use as everything is actually down to race? I agree that blacks in the states do not do much for themselves but expect a lot but what exactly u want them to do~? who is listening to them?

With regards to the ‘pimps’ n ‘hoes’ on videos and stuff, it is not the white man that makes them do that and the white man can not be blamed for that at all. These women willingly and voluntarily want to disgrace themselvesin the name of fame. They make a conscious decision to do so. As for the ‘pimps’ theyr just rich arrogant fools. they forget the sufferings of the black men and women in the past and decide to come up with such filth so as to enrich themselves. None of this is actually done by whites.

Most black americans have a weird mentality that is beyond me. they always want to live fast lives – money cars etc, it is those one that do notsee the bigger picture.Judah sees a much bigger picture than them all
