
While promoting her upcoming album, “E=MC2″, Mariah Carey announced her support for Sen. Barack Obama.
Radio program Yo on E! host Michael Yo asked if she had picked a candidate. Although Carey admitted to it being “personal but pretty obvious,” Yo replied: “Come on Mariah, ‘Yes we can’ Mr. Barack Obama?”
Earlier this week, Obama also garnered an endorsement from Russell Simmons. On Tuesday, Jay-Z dropped a robo call urging Ohio voters to vote for change, vote for Barack Obama. Forest Whitaker, Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington have all campaigned for Obama around Texas in recent days.

HUCKABEE OUT

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee has withdrawn following the Republican victories of John McCain Tuesday in Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas and Vermont.
Republican sources confirm McCain will receive an official endorsement from President Bush on Wednesday at the White House.

The petition currently has over 25,000 signatures urging Congressional Black Caucus members to use their superdelegate status to amplify the will of the voters and not vote against their constituents.

As much as I heard about Obama I heard Clinton name constantly too. They are stressing the right to vote & I am glad that both of them has sparked so much interest the youth. I was speaking to my younger brother & he likes Clinton. I go to large based African American church & they didn’t mention Obama by name but it is clear who they refering to. I do feel that politics should stay out the church. I am at the point now where I hope either one wins so the troops can home and economy will be strong.
