Sen. Barack Obama raised a record $55 million in February. So far, his presidential campaign has earned a total of $193 million, but, in an e-mail sent Thursday, “more important than the total is how we did it.”

Sen. Hillary Clinton is enjoying her wins from Tuesday, not to mention to financial gains they have given her.

Following those wins in Ohio, Rhode Island and Texas, Clinton has raised over $6 million in just 48 hours.

The Mississippi State Legislature has a new bill in the works that threatens the voting rights of elderly, minority and disabled voters throughout the state.

Senate Bill 2910 would cancel the registration of any voter if he or she did not “appear to vote” in a single election between Nov. 3, 2008, and Dec. 31, 2009. Purged voters would then have to re-register before they could vote in any elections. If signed into law, the bill would take effect in January 2009.

The Mississippi Democratic primary occurs on Tuesday, March 11.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul released a new message to his supporters.

Hinting that he is ending his presidential campaign, Paul said that “though victory in the conventional political sense is not available in the presidential race, many victories have been achieved.”
