Yes we can! No one else could deliver a speech like that; he exemplifies the role model our young people so desperately need.

Love the response speech of Obama however, that sermon was preach in 2003 so why is it being brought up today? Obama wasn’t even at the service or attending the church at that time. I think this is another tactic of the media…changing focus the real issues of politics. Regardless the Reverend was telling the truth and unfortunately the truth hurts.

A Few Points and 1 Reasonable Request:

1. The Reasonable Request: Concrete Loop should keep this post at the top of the site for the rest of the week. I have love for this site and completely understand the entertainment and political angles you represent, but this is not a speech and topic that should fade from our memory in favor of who looks better in this dress. I am a teenager of the 80s and the south — and a proud recipient of a historically black college education in the 90s. In college, we had numerous discussions about issues just like these — but our discussions always existed in a vacuum of an empty classroom, a candle-lit, Malcolm X poster’d dorm room– like I’m sure many of us here have experienced and felt. While we openly, honestly and passionately discussed race and conspiracy theories, the apathy of black folk, and why MLK or Malcolm X’s voices were eliminated so soon– we also too recognized our voices could carry but so far. We wondered who could bring Black America to a place where it could discuss its’ issues and begin the process of healing? If someone told me we’d know in 2008, I’d say “I’d have to see it to believe it”. Yet, this morning I believed it. Black America, it is time to look at our issues beyond the scope of our theories and again look at the facts that keep many in our community in an endless cycle of: poverty, drugs, gangs, un-wed pregnancy, high-school drop out, crime, and the list goes on… Sure, some of this is a result of discrimination, but not all. As Spike Lee said in “Do The Right Thing” — “WAKE UP”. Once the minority in black America, who have grown up or lived the middle and/or upper class life, realize the majority of us continue to live in poverty and that it’s not the ghetto’s problem, but our problem — then we can truly realize we can do more together, than we can apart. Anyway, I digress– I could write a book on this, but I need to keep it moving for the next point.

2. Barack Obama wrote this speech himself. As he has written many of his “stump speeches”. He approached his Aides and told them he wanted to do this speech and stayed up until 2am Sunday morning writing this. And, the icing — the man memorized the speech. Oh, wait — there’s a pattern of him doing this– this–this “audacity” of giving a speech that he’s able to memorize — check Youtube and look up his 2004 Democratic National Convention Speech and also the speech he delivered to the Democratic Party to announce he was running. No one speaks to the fact that this man rarely looks down at a piece of paper when he talks as I’ve seen countless politicians do, his present company not excluded. Or the fact that he WRITES his own speeches. How is this possible if he is such an “empty suit” with no substance?? When you really stop to think about it how many of us could have given a speech like this before America– how many of our un-appointed “official” Black Leaders could have– and not f’ed it up??? I’ve heard some say it reminds them of Dr. King’s famous “Letters From Birmingham”. I can see that, but I have a different take: it reminds me of Malcolm X as he spoke before the UN and stated to the UN that Black Injustice was not a black issue, it was a human issue– that speech made many MX many allies in other countries who agreed– and made him a foe to the U.S. government.

3. And keeping with this Malcolm X statement — his book, “The Autobiography of Malcolm X” is a must-read for anyone who has not read it. I read it at 18 and it had a profound effect on me to seek truth, not theory. Malcolm X said a few things that I am reminded of now [and I paraphrase]:

–If you ever want to know what’s happening in the world right now, go to a college campus. If there is apathy on a college campus, there is apathy in the world.

Right now in 2008 there’s action, activism and a feeling of change in the air on college campuses, which means (fill in the blank)…

He also said people curse because we are simply too lazy to find other words to replace them.

When this man went to prison he learned the entire dictionary just to expand his vocabulary (I’m sure the cynics will say because he had the time, which is also true ;-). My point– it’s time for some of us to expand our vocabulary.

So, I also hope Barack Obama’s presence and speech today begins to help us turn the page on more than just issues we feel we are a victim of and too, but also the page on the “Cool Pose” (another book you should read) mentality and ideology that prevents us from truly connecting with one another. Time to lay down the “hard” shields and search for the equality in one another. That’s my peace.

I saw Barak over the weekend in Plainfield, IN and I thought….this man is the truth and if anyone continues to have an doubts in his capabilities you/they need to just LISTEN to him for YOURSELF. But after this speech I realizes he’s more than just the truth…he just IS….Obama embodies everything that represents the struggle in America. It’s not a black thing, it’s not a white thing…his message, his plight…it’s just the RIGHT THING!

I have never liked Obama’s empty message of change, his call for bipartisanship, or his policies, especially on the environment, where he is completely backward. That said, I understand his position about race and that blacks (the ones descended from enslaved people, not Obama) and whites live in a very different America, for the most part. It’s the land of opportunity for whites and the land of oppression for many black people. Despite that, black Americans have served their country and been proud citizens. Obama is the son of an immigrant, as he said, and a white woman, also the descendant of immigrants. He had opportunities born of the immigrant experience, which in America has been upwardly mobile for the most part. Certainly he has faced bigotry because of the color of his skin, but his background and his family’s educational level also prepared him for reaching high. This speech is once again a fence sitting position that he always seems to take. He likes being the son of immigrants (see, I am more like the whites than the blacks) but he doesn’t want to lose the black vote, so he doesn’t cut off Rev. Wright. The problem isn’t mine, he says. The problem is YOURS.

Hey, how did Rev. Wright, who is Obama’s chosen spiritual leader, become my problem and not his? Yes, we have to hold Rev. Wright on our collective backs. He can’t blame Hillary Clinton or John McCain this time, so it’s OUR FAULT.

Barack’s Speech:

I thought it was one of the most eloquent, moving, powerful speeches I had ever heard. He said what he felt needed to be said not what people(white) wanted him to say.

I was watching CNN last night and Campbell Brown said something that really ticked me off. She said, “Barack Obama has run a successful campaign without addressing race, but it appears that he is being forced to address race at this time.”
I yelled at the t.v.” BECAUSE YOU PEOPLE WON’T LET RACE DIE”. Media people, the Clintons, even some blacks, keep wanting this campaign to be about race. Barack never did.

I almost felt sorry for Barack yesterday because he shouldn’t have had to give a speech, but he was caught between “a rock and a hard place” and whites knew it.

I think he had to address it, but his speak was wonderful and very moving. You can tell he’s working hard not to alienate anyone, but what he’s talking about relates to most middle class americans, who make up the majority of this country’s economic status. I really hope he wins…Hillary fall back!

It was reported that Obama DID NOT write the speech by himself. Still doesn’t take away from the message but if you’re going to use that as some sort of point it should be clarified.

After watching Obama’s speech several times I can’t help but get more and more inspired and appreciate him as a person and a leader even more. As someone pointed out neither of the current candidates have “experience” in leading a country or a company for that matter. Hillary Clinton worked to improved health care, and several other important issues since she was a teenager. Barack Obama worked in Chicago to improve living conditions and give a voice to the voiceless. John McCain served his country to the highest degree while in the service.

Given their backgrounds, what they have done recently (politically) and what they have done and continue to do during their campaign for the presidency, there are obviously several reasons to consider for electing the next president of the United States. Barack Obama is what this country needs at this time to heal itself and its relationship with the world. With today’s media scrutinizing and criticizing every thing a public figure says and does, America has lost respect for the President. I’m not talking about the person who is in office; I’m talking about role of the president, what the position means symbolically.

It is largely due to Barack Obama that voters are turning out in record breaking numbers. Barack is uniting people across all color lines, classes, races, & ethnicities. In time of adversity Barack Obama remains to appear strong, confident, and intelligent. We already know that Bush has done a pretty good job of damaging America and that the next president will have more than their fair share to clean up his mess.

One of my fears going into this campaign was that even if Barack or Hillary gets elected president, America and the very influential ones won’t let them accomplish what they set out to. That they’ll fall back into the business as usual routine. I believe now that Obama will actually bring about the change he’s been talking about in his speeches. Notice however that anytime an issue comes out with Barack Obama he faces it head on but Hillary Clinton will eithier deny deflect or defer when confronted. There is much more to her than she’s letting on and I feel that if she’s elected president we’ll find out once its too late.

Nice speech and all, but I still have yet to hear about what type of “change” this man is promising. He says it’s time for a change…what change? This is ridiculous, this speech did not help him…it possibly made his chances worse.

It’s ironic to me that some of these talk shows bring on people (not necessarily just blacks) to talk about events concerning race and racism and as soon as these talking heads are called out or not hearing what they want to hear they cut them off and move on to the next segment: it’s a talk show but they have no time to talk. They aren’t helping the situation and are making it worse.

Barack Obama attempted to explain why people feel the way they do and examine the roots of America’s racial divide. He also challenged people to look into their hearts and examine their feelings and then make a choice. Choose to begin a dialogue and start working toward helping this country to live up to its potential or choose to do nothing and still be angry next year and the after that and the year after that….. There are hundreds if not thousands of people who have built careers (and made a lot of money) exploiting the racial and religious divides in this country. Nothing Obama said yesterday would have satisfied them or their most loyal supporters. He is a threat to their power and people don’t give up power easily. For the states that have yet to vote like my own (PA) I sincerely hope that cooler heads prevail. I know I can’t wait to vote for this man. OBAMA 08!!!!

It’s a double edged sword; years ago a Black person couldn’t be elected president because they’re Black; now some people are saying that the only reason Obama is winning is because he IS Black. Which way is it? Seems like Obama has been going out of his way to avoid the race issue in the election but all it took was one preacher to blow everything up.

I love Obama as much as the rest of you BUT that was a long ass speech. He could have cut that shit in half and it would have been AWESOME!

And while in Congress, none of the three have took such large initiatives and been successful in relation to the Truman Committee. Those in Congress typically lack executive experience which is why no one from Congress has been elected President since JFK…..almost 50 years ago.”

ACTUALLY, there has been presidents who were elected after serving in Congress–Nixon and the first Bush, both served in the US Congress prior to living in the white house. So, I guess you need to fire your fact checkers.

The fact is that in order to debate about these issues, we need to make some clarification. We’ve got two candidates touting “experience” but what is experience? And more importantly, what experience counts. The reality is if Hillary is claiming 35 years of experience (from her post college year until now) than Obama can claim 25 years. And if you are going to hammer on the 10 years difference, than think about the fact that over 16 years ago, in 1992, when Hillary and Bill could only claim 19 years of “experience serving this country” she successfully helped her husband get into the White house. Secondly, Obama served on the Illinois State Legislator for almost 10 years before running for his current Senate seat. Therefore, he actually has MORE legislative experience than Hillary. Also, in all of McCain’s years of “serving” this country he still is admittedly not real strong in economics. This coming from a man who is running for the presidency of a nation who is in a financial turmoil and who’s greatest concern is the economy and not how we are going to win the war in Iraq, but how are we going to end and how are we going to survive its assault on our national treasury?

Now, Obama is young. But, I do believe his work (as a community organizer) and his record in politics (a student of the legislative process, seeking to find ways to serve his constituents effectively and ethically) makes him an excellent candidate for the presidency. If he the perfect candidate-NO! He said so himself. But to dismiss anyone from the race because they imperfect or not ideal is too raise your hand and say, “hey I’ve giving up. there is no hope.” Many people feel that way and will never trust a politician. And I understand that. But by not expecting more, we are basically giving slimy politicians the right to lie to our faces and steal from our pockets. Now, while I do believe Hillary, as the first female president, would offer the country change. And while I do believe she is competent and capable of running this country, and while I don’t feel like she is as destructive as Bush and Cheney, the fact that she has employed some many Republican and dirty political methods, makes me feel as though she’ll be more of the same just in a skirt (or should I say pants suit). She is about closed door smoke fill room meetings where issues are dealt with while under the table deals are negotiated at the expense of the people. Obama is about transparency and about getting his hands dirty. He makes great speeches, but he has a farther reaching record than most candidates (or politicians) when it comes to going into the community and getting things done, for the people and with the people. He’s the type to sit down with the community to work towards their goals. She calls a board meeting and comes back with a solution she “thinks” will work, while refusing to keep the same people she is “working for” a part of the discussion and decision making process. McCain, he…um…asks Bush.

Now, while none has had the Executive experience you spoke of, what does it matter. Most of our previous and greatest presidents NEVER had any executive experience (Lincoln, JFK, Adams). And what does executive experience afford you? Bush owed several companies…they all failed, but he owed them. Bush had 2 terms in office…the second one was just as crappy as the first, but hey he could say he had experience. Bidden, Dodd, and Richardson has loads more experience than any other current candidates, but apparently that didn’t make them viable. Poor little Huckabee was a Governor, as was Romey…look at them now. It seems like people who are screaming “experience” are more actually dealing in resume fillers. I mean how many people work with someone who has been in their jobs for 30 plus years and you who just got there look at them and think “damn, how are you this retarded?”
Nonetheless, I real point when it comes to experience, is even when you have it, does it come at some expense? What I see in Hillary and in McCain, is while they have “experience” its made them into exactly the kind of politician that has turned off so many voters over the years and has made many Americans so distrustful of what anyone in the political areana says. They are the “experienced” politicians that make it so that even when an elected official stands up and says what we all KNOW to be true, like Obama did in this speech, people are too jade to even listen to what was said. I think America need Obama. We need a change. We need someone who is gonna lay things out on the street and toil to get things done so that EVERYONE can see. We need someone smart enough to surround himself with experts, and smart enough to engage in an intellectual discussion about national policy and decision. We need someone who will able to engage this country like its never has been engaged before. We need someone who can face issues head on, and not get in front of the mic at a press conference he called on the state of the economy and when asked about the possibility that gas will go over $4/gallon respond, “Oh, I haven’t heard that.” We need someone who hasn’t seen their income increase 100 fold to millionaire status tell us that she (nor anyone on her staff…not even her daughter) has the time to photocopy 8 years of tax years. And don’t forget about McCain. We still have yet to see his taxes either. We need Obama.

I for one, am so tired of all the Race issues that the media has inundated us with during this primary. They’re so focused on Obama’s race, that I’m not sure anyone knows or remembers any of the issues the candidates are running on. I find it sad that Obama had to make such a speech to explain who he is and address comments by his former pastor. No one has asked Hillary or John McCain to give a speech explaining their whiteness.

Also, I don’t get all the outrage about Rev Wrights comments…..from what I’ve seen and heard of his speeches, I can’t really disagree with anything he said. He spoke from the perspective of what his generation has experienced in this country. And as far as his comments regarding America is getting what it deserves, he is correct, in my opinion. You can not continue to try to impart your will on other nations and not expect some sort of retaliation at some point. Why do many Americans feel that acknowledging this countries short comings equates to being Anti-American. If you continue to stick your head in the sand and act as though all is well, we are doomed to make the same mistakes in the future and we will never move toward healing America’s reputation with foreign countries and thereby increasing our safety.

I noticed that Foxnews commentators last night stated that the Rev Wright issue will doom Obama’s candidacy because it shows a lack of judgement on his part. Well if we are making arguments as to one’s readiness for presidency based on judgement then you can make the argument that all 3 candidates lack judgement (Obama for remaining a member of Rev Wright’s church and Hillary & John for voting for the war; or what about Hillary’s judgement for staying with a cheating spouse). So the argument then becomes, who has the better judgement.

Again, I’m really not sure why Obama is being villified for statements made by another individual. I think the media and opponents to his candidacy have been waiting and salivating for something, anything to bring his candidacy to an end and unfortunately they may have succeeded. I enjoyed his speech yesterday and thought it was heartfelt, sincere and brave. I don’t think it’s going to change anyone’s opinion of him….if you liked him before, you probably still do and if you didn’t, you probably still don’t.

He absolutely has my vote, but I hate to say it, I don’t think he’ll get the nomination. That being said, I do think if Hillary is the nominee, John McCain will be the next president. Yes it’s important to vote on a candidates issues, but you also have to account for electibility and I believe that Hillary Clinton comes with too much baggage from her husband’s presidency that the Republicans will exploit. I’ve heard that the Republicans are hoping she is the Democratic candidate and I’m afraid they are right, so we’ll be welcoming President McCain come November.

The preceding are just my thoughts and mine alone. And no matter who you vote for, just vote and please, please, please do not let the media bamboozle you into second guessing who you support and why you support them.

I MOST DEF TOOK THIS SPEECH AS A CHALLENGE FOR EVERYBODY. FOLKS WANT TO ACT LIKE THEY DON’T SPEAK CANDIDLY LIKE REV. WRIGHT DID, AMONGST THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN THE QUIETNESS OF THEIR HOMES OR SIMPLY OUT OF THE EAR SHOT OF BLACK PERSONS/PERSONS OF COLOR. HIS SPEECH ASKED US TO LOOK AT OURSELVES AND HOW WILL WE GET OVER OUR OWN PERSONAL HANG UPS.

This speech was wonderful for him in that it tapped into the market that he’s been trying to tap into and has successfully tapped into, the simple-minded. I agree that this speech is akin to Martin Luther King’s speech in that both speeches were probably written by their Jewish backers and both will be referenced for many years without either one having any effect on society in the least. I personally believe that the only reason why Obama even joined Rev. Wright’s congregation in the first place was to establish a standing in the black community so that he could validate his “blackness” for the subsequent presidential run that we’re witnessing. People with grand aspirations and backing do things 25 years ahead. Rev. Wright is no longer necessary, so he can basically have a nice day, continue to be a “demagogue”, and preach his “division” and “hate”. In modern day, politically-correct America when one tells the truth and the drones cannot refute it, they get called “ignorant”, so what will be will be. The operative thing for Obama was that he distanced himself from Rev. Wright without looking as if he’s doing what he did, which is throw the reverend under the bus. That should be, but won’t be, a sign to our people that think that Obama will be anything but a figurehead negro that he can’t be anything but that because a politician is compromised, no matter what race he/she is.

I’d be surprised if this speech, in regards to race relations and highlighting his disparate views from his alleged reverend, was not meticulously prepared months ago, if not years. Like it’s been said by the few black people that see what is going on, Obama must appeal to the most powerful demographic, that being whites. He, and his backers, know that black people are easily deceived and manipulated so dealing with them is never a problem. Blacks want to love whites and more importantly, black people want white people to love them, so black support will never be a real issue for Obama as long as black people feel like he will be a catalyst to attaining that white love. Most black people view unity within their own community as irrelevant compared to unity with “all races”, (the white man) so as long as they have that mentality, they will never have to be taken seriously.

The portion of his speech where he shrewdly sympathized with white, systemic racism was the real crux of his message. That’s why Obama (or whoever crafted the speech); at the end of his speech had the old negro say, “I’m here for Ashley.”. Imagine his speech having a portion where an old white woman said, “I’m here for Raheem.”, lol. Never in a billion years. That would imply that white people should be concerned with black, particularly black male, issues and problems. that’s not possible. The point that Obama is making therefore is that the black male must look past his indignation to put the pain of whites over his own tribulations. That’s what he was cryptically saying and that is why so many real black males distrust him. Most of the black males that support him are usually effeminate, and just like Obama, cannot expound and why they want him in office with using broad, obtuse terminology. The people in power know that, for the most part, the black woman is for this society. The point is to alienate and ostracize the black male and make him think that his feelings are irrelevant and thusly that he is irrelevant. This is why the black male, in my opinion, acts out and rebels against this society through crime and violence against his own brother. He doesn’t want to bow down but he doesn’t know where his power is at.

Obama must show his white voters that he will not be a “black” president. That’s what many of our people refuse to grasp, they’re so caught up in all this fantastical nonsense. What type of constructive dialogue involving “race” does he think to engage in with a “mutual understanding” being reached? The whole idea is ridiculous and the only black people that think of this as a viable option are house negroes. The point of engaging in any discussion on any topic is the presumption that both sides have a common goal, just a different perspective or vision. I don’t believe that whites or the other races view unity with blacks as a priority in the least. Only black people do. Why do black people have to bargain for respect? Other posters referenced the white Jews. The white jews to this day will put a Nazi on trial and hang him. They don’t bargain with a Nazi. The white Jews control most aspects of this society and government and they still take what they want, including the land of Israel and will bring down governments and entire religions if they have to. They also teach all other races to come together while they separate themselves and count their money. Obama cited the scriptures and correctly associated our people with Ezekiel 37th chapter, but when Moses went before Pharaoh in the book of Exodus, there was no talk or negotiation. There was the understanding that the Israelites would remain in captivity and subservient as long as they relied on the Egyptians, so they had to depart to serve their God properly (Exodus 4:21-23). That’s going to happen again through Christ, and the reason why Obama’s speech writer’s compared the blacks to the Israelites is because they know who our people are. That also was cryptic.

This simply means reports came out from 2 angles: Angle 1: He wrote his speeches. Angles 2: He did not write his speeches.

What I read reported that he wrote his speeches himself. Hey, if you write a book and have a ghost writer edit it — guess what, you still get credit. It’s thousands of books like this. In fact, the Holy Bible had many uncredited authors– all we know are the ones we see listed.

Besides, I do not blindly believe he had no help with his speeches, but the one yesterday had a strong theme and voice throughout that clearly shows the thought of one mind.

But, this is a free country — you are entitled to believe he did not write the speeches. Me, I’ll give the man credit even if he wrote 50% and speech writers did the other 50, because some politicians are never involved in their speeches, and most of the time don’t even come across as even being familiar with the words that are written for them (can we say “Bush”).

You should read the actual transcript of the speech. Perhaps that will help to expand your American and world view. I do have a question for you: What do you consider a “full” call for change, since you refer that Obama’s is “empty”. And do you apply that same “full” call for change to Clinton and McCain, since that seems to be one of your bars or standards for voting for a candidate? The reason why he made that comment about “Ashley” and the old black man is because it is understood that the closing of a speech is what is left in people’s mind’s the most. What he wanted to leave the viewing and listening audience with is the assertion that black men especially, and black people in general, must put aside the constant oppression and be ready to put the wants of whites first. In other words, if whites were worried that blacks would be out of control under his charge, that is not going to happen. This was supposed to comfort his white following. That spiel about white people and the other races putting their differences aside was for show but he had to say it to cover himself. In regard to the scriptures, the reason why Obama likened our people unto the Valley of Dry Bones in Ezekiel 37th chapter and to the Exodus is because he is in the know. The Valley of Dry Bones is a vision that the Lord sent to Ezekiel of the Israelites in the last days and how they would not know who they were, are, or why they were in such a poor condition. Our people: the blacks of the captivity, the Native Americans, and the hispanics of black or Native American descent are the Israelites of the Bible (Deuteronomy 28:15-68). When you read that chapter of Deuteronomy, you’ll see that it lists all the curses (problems in our community) and culminates with the prophecy of a race coming into captivity on ships if they did not adhere to God’s Laws. If that’s not us, who is it? We are not “Africans”, and the white man teaches us that we’re Africans to cause confusion. We retreated to Africa and America as refugees after we were kicked out of Europe or fled when our rulership of that continent came to an end. The white man cryptically calls our rulership of Europe the “Dark” or “Mid-Evil” period and their own subsequent re-emergence the so-called “Renaissance” or rebirth. Some of us came to America as slaves but most came here as explorers, refugees, and mariners in trade with the Native American Indians until we were subsequently put into captivity. Most of the great cites in the U.S. were founded by blacks. “Harlem”; or “Haarlem” in the Dutch, the black capital of America, was founded by black Dutchmen and is the Dutch rendering of “Jerusalem”. So many cities, states, and blocks in New York and America are named after the black settlers and explorers of America that it is ridiculous.

The scriptures state that none of the prophecies shall fail, not one, and they haven’t (Isaiah 34:16). In regards to the sisters, the women that believe in the Most High’s Word never have a problem with my comments because they understand that pride is the enemy of order and success. The name Esau means “red” or “wasted away is he” because they have no melanin. We were finally ordered to leave Spain in 1492 and Portugal in 1494 by King Ferdinand after the surrender of General Boabdil and we were shipped en masse to Spain’s holdings in West Africa. No disrespect to you, but your breakdown of the Curse of Ham is exhibit A of how deep under mind control you are. Where in that citation (Gen 9:20-27) does it mention a Curse on Ham, much less skin color? Did you even read the scripture you cited before you cited it or did you do a google search on the fictional “Curse of Ham”? When you do real historical and biblical research you’ll see that the curse wasn’t on Ham, IT WAS ON CANAAN, AS THE BIBLE ITSELF SAYS (Gen 9:25). That’s your first mistake. The curse had nothing to do with his skin color. The only signs of skin color being associated with a curse is when it is TAKEN AWAY, not darkened (Gen 4:15, Gen 25:25, Lev13:2-6, II Kings 5:1,27, II Kings 15:5, Isaiah 34:5). That nonsense was contrived by the Edomites that were forced to practice the law by the Maccabees when Edom was conquered in the second century B.C. Those edomites were the same ones that concocted the “Talmud” (which included that curse of Ham nonsense as well as a permission to practice pedophilia) later on while in Babylon. They were forced into the caucasus mountains where they in 740 A.D. initiated a mass conversion of their people to the practice of Jewish law and the Talmud. These are the people that call themselves Jews today, and know that they are not the real Jews. You can read this in a book called “The 13th Tribe”, written by a so-called white jew. He was later killed by the Israeli mossad for his confession. Honestly, where in the Torah or the Bible are people named Silverberg, Goldstein, Rubin, etc? They take Hebrew first names and make them their last names to perpetuate their lies, i.e. David, Peters, Solomon, Paul. Sis, these posts do become about these people’s frustrations with my commentary, for whatever reason. After my initial comment, how many comments became about me? This is why I ask these people to ignore me. I notice that my commentary only becomes “hateful” when certain topics come up and certain elements of society are taken to task for their actions. I’ve seen you commend me numerous times, but that’s neither here nor there. Like I’ve said before, I can rail against the black man until Christ comes back and everyone would agree. As far as your purported knowledge of the Most High and his Word, good for you sis, if what you say is true. I’ll take your word for it. I know many sisters that try to beat black men over the head with their spirituality and knowledge of the Bible until a black man knows more than them, then it becomes about God being in their “heart” (Jer 17:9). The Lord only resides in one’s heart when they know his Word and perform his statutes to the best of their ability. That is the Love of God. To do what he asks us to do, which is keep his commandments (Matt 5:17-19, John 14:15, I John 5:3). It’s not about being emotional. This is why it’s so difficult to get heterosexual black men into your churches. They see the writing on the wall, that alot of sisters and effeminate black men want to browbeat them with their emotions. Furthermore sis, as a sister of God, you should know that you cannot know Christ unless it’s through the man, i.e. your husband or pastor (Prov 8:4, I Cor 14:34,35, I Tim 2:11-14). The Bible tells us that in the last days, when all hell breaks loose, the sisters will need brothers there to serve their purpose as leaders and to provide protection (Isaiah 32:2). Before you get angry with me or call me “hateful” please take it up with Paul. Whether you like it or not, I don’t care how many vain, self-serving breakdowns you pastor or pastoress gives for Mary Magdalene to justify their nonsense, you will have to learn from a man. You may not like to hear this sis, but the Bible is a weapon. Like any weapon it can be used to destroy or to restore peace. This is why it’s known as the sword, or the hammer, or fire (Jer 23:29, Eph 6:17, Heb 4:12, Rev19:13-15). Who says that I don’t have the grace or the love of God? Why, because I don’t bring out the Word like you’re used to hearing? Love, like I’ve already said, is not some Woodstock-like orgy where everyone hugs each other. Love, according to the Bible is adherence to the truth of the Lord’s Word. The Lord is our Father and like any parent, you show them you love by following their instructions, not giving lip-service. This is why James tells us that we must do the Word (James 1:22-24, 2:17). Keep in mind that what is today known as the New Testament were simply letters of exhortation or correction. So that means that those brothers and sisters that were being taught, were being taught about Christ from the Old Testament and it’s laws and prophecies. Brothers and sisters in these churches need to understand that, because you’re addicted to terminology in the NT that has it’s reference in the laws and prophecies of the OT. Thusly you’re understanding is perverted and many of you resort to saying that the Old Testament is done away with because you find the OT tedious (II Cor 3:12-18).

Grace is what Christ gave to his people forseeing that they would be thrown into captivity and in a state where they wouldn’t even know who they were, much less how to keep the laws (John 1:17, Rom 3:31, Rom 6:15). Instead of cleaving onto man’s definitions of words like “truth”, “love”, “hope”, “faith”, “charity”, etc. we should be looking for the biblical definitions because they’re there and they clear up the confusion. That’s one valid point that characters like “Unreal” have when they talk about the white man’s manipulation of black people through corrupted teachings of the Bible. I don’t think that your comments are hateful because I may not agree - some of the things that I do agree with, you have communicated in what I perceive as a hateful tone and manner. I have and will continue to commend comments that you make that I feel are commendable. I think you have a lot of knowledge and a deeper understanding to offer, there are just times that your style and delivery is ‘hateful’. That’s real talk.

You are correct that the Bible doesn’t speak of “negroes” within it’s pages. I was using the term incorrectly because that’s what you commonly use, so please excuse my ignorance. However, there are references in the Hebrew and KJV of the Bible which cannot be discredited. Ham named his son Cush, which in Hebrew means “black one” and in Genesis 10 it mentions decendants from Ham in Africa. There are countless other references in the Bible that hint of “negroes” residing in Africa which is why I go by geography rather than lineage, but I do recognize the importance behind you method especially since you say we are not decendants of Ham (as taught) bit rather negroes from Israel. I will have to do my own research on your knowledge and won’t be so quick to discredit what you say. I’ll also bring this up to my Pastor and see what he has to say (and his reaction)

Finally sir, thank you for speaking with me instead of at me for a change. This is why our people need to work on our dealings with each other before anything else. People on this site accuse me of being arrogant, argumentative, or confrontational but I simply follow the rhythm that has been already established. When you read the scriptures, Christ, the prophets, and the apostles were not nice to everyone. The spirit you put out is what you get back, and you reap what you sow. I understand that my commentary can seem brusque or overbearing but the Lord tells us to speak a certain way (Isaiah 58:1, Luke 4:32).You should ask your pastor concerning the truth about our people if you wish, but he will likely tell you that the Israelites were done away with and that the promises are now to “everyone”. He’ll say that Christ “may have” been black but that’s not the crux of Christ’s message. Or he may say, “Maybe you’re right, let me look into that.”, and never get back to you. Depends on the person. The truth alienates people, the church is a business, and no pastor wants to destroy his congregation.

The Bible does mention the descendants of Ham as “Africans” because they are. The point I’m continuously making is that our people are not Hamites, we are Shemites. There are negroid peoples with woolly hair in every part of the planet earth. That does not make them “Africans” and the only reason why people say that is because they believe in evolution and the descent of man from a single organism. That did not happen. Cush means, as you’ve stated, “burnt one” or “black one” but he is the progenitor of the people known today as the sub-Saharan Africans.
