Sen. Barack Obama claimed his 30th win with the Mississippi Democratic primary on Tuesday, adding to his delegate lead over Sen. Hillary Clinton in the last contest before the Pennsylvania primary, which will offer 188 delegates on April 22.
“It’s just another win in our column, and we are getting more delegates,” Obama said in declaring victory in an interview on CNN Tuesday evening. “I am grateful to the people of Mississippi for the wonderful support. What we’ve tried to do is steadily make sure that in each state we are making the case about the need for change in this country.”

At a campaign event in Wyoming on Friday, Obama made it known: he has no intent in running for vice president. Check out the video below.
“Now first of all, with all due respect, with all due respect,” Obama began, “I have won twice as many states as Sen. Clinton. I have won more of the popular vote than Senator Clinton. I have more delegates than Senator Clinton. So I don’t know how somebody who is in second place, is offering the vice presidency to the person who is in first place.
Earlier this week, former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro commented that Obama is where he is because of his race.
“If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position,” she said. “And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”
On Wednesday, in an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America”, Ferraro defended her remarks and said:
“My comments have been taken so out of context and have been spun by the Obama campaign as racist that it’s doing precisely what they don’t want done — it’s going to the Democratic Party and dividing us even more.”
When asked about Ferraro’s remarks, Obama stated that being an “African American man named Barack Obama” was not the quickest path to becoming president.
“Anybody who knows the history of this country I think would not take too seriously the notion that this has been a huge advantage, but I don’t think it’s disadvantaged either,” Obama said.

As for Ferraro’s comments…to be honest, they really do not surprise me. She is just another person who is hating the fact that an african-american male could be our next president. I watched her interview this morning on GMA and she was quick to defend the comments that she made but near the end of the interview she tried to gain the viewers sympathy by talking about how she is not a racist and how she has worked hard to fight issues of racism and gender. In my opinion, if she worked so hard to fight these issues, she should have worked TWICE as hard to refrain from making comments like that!

I am from Alabama, and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to know Obama would win Mississippi. When over 60% of the Democrats registered are black and Obama recieved 92% of the black vote, hello??? @11 PLEASE believe that Obama NOR Hillary will win MS, AL, GA, or LA in the general election, it’s not going to happen.
What was crazy about The MS primary was how it really showed the race part of this whole process. In exit polls 40% of the people of who voted said race was their deciding factor and of that 40, 90% were Obama supporters and remember he got 92% of the black vote. Which I expected that, but flat out stating that was a good number of people’s reasons for voting for him are stupid. That is going to drive some of the white support he does have away, seeing how the black population are the ones really being racist and not the whites. With Pennsylvania next, it’s not about who is going to win, cause Hillary is going to win Pennsylvania, but by how much will she. Don’t be shocked if she gets like 80 or so percent of the white vote there. The more and more I see how this is all playing out the more and more I am sure he will lose big in the general election. Especially if the FL & MI thing isn’t settled. Pisting off FL voters now and expecting them to come back and vote in the general election is stupid. The way this is all playing out the Democrats are basically handing the general election to the Republicans.
The problem is that the Repubs are just having a hide and watch moment to see how the Dems will slaughter themselves with ruthless attacks! 4- Ron Brown – Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown’s skull resembling a gunshot wound. It was a smear tactic used by the Clintons along with the Canadian Prime Minster Stephen Harper to try and sabatoge Obama’s campaign. The media blew this bullshit-story up causing Obama to appear as a hyprocrite, which he wasn’t. The enormous amount of critical coverage caused Obama to lose many potential voters in Texas and Ohio. The fact is.. Obama never contacted the canadians and told them not to worry about NAFTA. Hillary knew that the media and these news stories were false, but at every opportunity.. every ad… every speech… she milked it for all it was worth basically calling Obama a liar and not trustworthy when all along it was Hillary’s campaign who contacted the canadians and told them to take the issues concerning NAFTA in this election with a ‘grain of salt’.
