Give me a break, noone even knows this girl and what training in acting she has had to fully represent Li’l Kim. That is the job of an actor–to bring out the truest reflection of her character. I don’t see anything wrong with the 3LW chick playing Lil’ Kim. Don’t people understand that it is called “acting” for a reason!! Actors portray a character so we the audience get drawn into the plot of the story thus entertained (hopefully). It is a plus when an actor looks just like the character or real life person they are portraying. CL is wrong for the mugshot. There are PLENTY of before surgery pics of Kim that look better than the much shot.
As far as Naturi playing Kim, if she can pull of Kim’s BK accent and her swag then she’ll do fine. When casting an actor for the role, you screen them based upon physical likeness, but even if they look NOTHING like the person they’re portraying but can pull of a performance, its all good.
Angela Bassett don’t look JACK like Tina Turner or Katherine Jackson and she KILLED both roles. I gotta add that if they choose to add Charlie Baltimore in the film, they need to cast Chrystale Wilson or her real life daughter India (she was on Rip the Runway 2008).
