Here are some stories that have been going around the web this week.
First up, Rita Marley wants Lauryn Hill to portray her on screen in the first-ever biopic of her late husband, icon Bob Marley.
Marley is working as executive producer on the big-screen adaptation of her 2004 autobiography No Woman No Cry: My Life with Bob Marley–and has her sights set on casting the former Fugees frontwoman, her daughter-in-law, in the chronicle of her tumultuous 15-year marriage to the musician.
She explains, “Lauryn would be ideal (to play me). She sees my life as her life.” [SOURCE]
Bob Marley’s son Rohan Marley–with former lover Janet Hunt–is reportedly married to Hill. The as-yet-untitled project is slated to begin filming early next year.
YOLANDA ADAMS + IRS = 
Columbia Records and Houston gospel singer, actress and radio host Yolanda Adams, 46, is currently being investigated by the IRS.
The agency has asked a federal judge to force the entertainer to turn over documents after she failed to show up for an appointment last month to explain her financial affairs. The agency is trying to determine her tax liability and how to collect on the debt. According to filings in Houston federal court, the IRS probe stems from two million-dollar mortgage loan applications. A 2005 Ocwen application said Adams earned $40,000 a month and listed $8 million in assets — including an $800,000 trust account, $4.9 million in other personal holdings and jewelry worth $1.5 million. That document said she owned a Lexus and a Hummer. A subsequent Chase home loan application listed $3 million in assets, including a business worth $1.5 million, a Mercedes-Benz and a Range Rover. She owns a home worth more than $2 million in Houston’s Royal Oaks Country Club subdivision.
The federal government has asked a judge to order Adams to appear with “records, papers or documents” or explain why she should not be forced to comply with the summons. They believe that somebody has either overreported deductions or underreported income. The IRS is not an agency that is easy to avoid. Generally, if they want information, you’re going to have to give it to them.” [read more]

WHITNEY HOUSTON UPDATE
Whitney Houston has four songs completed for her highly-anticipated, as-yet-untitled comeback album, and four more will be recorded later this month, according to her mentor, BMG Label Group chairman/CEO Clive Davis. Word is the project is ‘on track for holiday release.’
FIRST!!!! I love Lauryn but she needs to get it together. this would be a great roll for her.

Where is Lauryn? I was a huge fan and I still love her as a singer, rapper, actress, activist, etc. I couldn’t believe when Wyclef eluded to Lauryn being mental disturbed. I was very disappointed when she went from her beautiful locks to that fake, fake chinese bob she wore at the BET awards a few yrs ago.

Whitney looks nice. She finally got rid of BB. I never understood that relationship. But we all know they will be back together sooner or later. Whitney is crazy about BB “BB THE ORIGINAL KING OF R&B!” You know she had to have been smoking back then. Even though BB had a lot of hits I don’t think any ever agreed with her.
Miss Lady I think its just you and me lol. Yeah Roy is a cutie. And Whitney’s sound on her upcoming album? I don’t think she has her voice anymore. She would need a miracle from God to restore her vocal cords. She’s always drinking hot tea or supposedly has a cold. I am not knocking her but she doesn’t have the same voice. she strains and struggles so I don’t know. But she looks so much better.
I hope the Yolanda situation is just a misunderstanding.
I love L. Boogie (lol) and she would be great for that role as long as she gets her life together. She could definitely make a comeback.
And Miss Lady and Bib…I’m with yall on Marley…I wouldn’t go as far to say fine as hell but definitely cute.

And lastly, Whitney will never have her voice like she used to. Those drugs making her pay for that, but she still sounds decent. On the positive, she looks really good, and you can only be happy for somebody to get their life back together. It’s your turn Lauryn!

I think its unfair to say whitney wont have her voice back, Mary j blige had the same drugs problem but look at her now! Her voice is better now than it ever was before. With great vocal training Whitney could be back to having one of the greatest voices ever.
I think its unfair to underestimate her talent, because she was incredible.
I dont like Clive Davis I think he only ever cares about the money and nothing else.
Just because you’re working and have an option on whether or not to pay taxes, doesn’t mean you have the right not pay your taxes. Those IRS people are very tricky.
You have to be careful when getting paid “off the book”.
Lauryn has some real issues that need to be addressed… one of the biggest problems might be from Rita’s Marley’s own mouth …

Lauryn does not live in JA with Rohan. Not for many years. She lives in South Orange with her parents and her 5 children ( the last was a girl in early Jan 08) by Rohan who she does Not live with and was Never Married to. Rita only had 3 of Bob’s children, the rest are with other women. Rohan’s mother is Janet Hunt.
Rita has never been a size 1 or 2 maybe at least a size 14 to 18…so Sure she wants Lauryn to play Her..lol. It will be interesting who does finally play Rita.
My vote is for Fantasia but she sings too well…Any other ideas?
Something about Yolanda turns me the opposite way. I don’t know, don’t all jump on me, but there is something about her that I can’t put my finger on, but something’s not too right in my book… But she can SANG, she just seems a little double sided to me if you know what I mean! Ok the Whitney on Crack jokes are old. Yes, Whitney did drugs and so does 99.9% of the celebs. I think that a lot of people got down hard on Whitney when they found out about her drug problem. But the truth is, we see a new celeb coming out the crackhouse and rehab just about everyday. So no one besides Whitney can tell us as of now if she will ever be back on point. SO I don’t see see how anyone can really deny right now. I guess we will just have to wait and see. Furthermore, even if WH came back at only 50% she would still be better then 90% of the wannabes we have on the radio today. Either way I don’t see how Whitney could lose.

Lauryn Hill is a very talented young lady but once again we see what loving the wrong man can do to us. I think she can still pull herself back up if she chose to; maybe she needs to get herself away from Mr. Marley completely and just have a relationship with him for the kids and nothing more.
