I’m sure/hope this film will be great….but I don’t really thing this dude looks like Biggie…aside from being big, which is important, but still I don’t see it. However, that doesn’t mean he wont play the role well and make us believe it’s him. Denzel didn’t look like Malcom X or Frank White and he was still believable!!! I’m excited about the film. R.I.P Biggie- Brooklyn and the World misses you!

I agree he don’t look like bigs at all, the other dude who auditioned looked more the part, this dude got too much shadow wit da beard, bigs never had much “noticeable” facial, infact i dun think ever had facial =/ besides the small stash hairs..

Hey may not be a striking image of BIG but he can flow for real, I think they considered that when picking him over some othere guy.

He doesn’t look like Biggie at all to me…he’s tall, heavy and darkskin, but Big had a certain swag about him…even getting Angela Basset to play voletta wallace is a jump for me…I met Big when I was 14, and he was just this larger than life persona…not talking bout his weight…and he was a gracious dude…we’ll just see if he pulls it off…

Co-sign #27 Gorilla Black looks AND sounds like BIG. I was watching the “Compton” video on You Tube yesterday, the flow and mannerisms were dead on. BIG is turning over in his grave being played by this sucka Gravy. I think they picked the perfect person to play BIG. For all that don’t know the guy that they got to play BIG is a rapper named Gravy (who is also from Brooklyn). Gorilla Black couldn’t play BIG because he doesn’t have that Brooklyn Swag. If you are going to pick someone to play a rapper from Brooklyn, why not get a rapper from Brooklyn? I think this guy will play the role perfect and hopefully it will get his rap career of the ground because he is actually NICE on the mic! Good Luck Gravy!
