I really like Kelly Rowland…and I have both of her cd’s. (*cough* Don’t laugh)
But, she needs some more promotion or something. I guess they are re-releasing it so Matthew Knowles can say he at least tried to help her have a career outside of Destiny’s Child. *LOL*

i actually bought the album and i thought it was good..but i think mr.knowles is NOT pushing her album nor is he promoting her..and its sad that he considers her his daughter..i think she needs to switch labels!

Yeah, she’s bow-legged. I like her hair all casual in a loose ponytail instead of all weaved up. Weaves are nice when you have someplace serious to go but if you are in lax mode, why weaken your hair with that shit. I like au natural. She looks her age. At that fashion show, were she was seated with Jayonce, she looked 50something.

Kelly is cool wit me, but I think she needs to cast aside her “loyalty” and start looking out for #1 especially the one’s she’s loyal to are only interested in their bottomline and that is making a dollar. Kelly already played her role in making others successful, now it’s time to snip the umbilical (sp???) chord at the root and strike out on her own. Maybe singing is not her forte, but she was a decent actress and has potential there. But, singing, modeling, acting is so everybody. I say Kelly starts community outreach in some fashion and make a name for herself and build a stronger fanbase in the process. Oh, and Kelly needs to avoid hip hoppish lyrics and find a sound that suits her most times sophisticated image.

leave her alone.. everyone is saying her music is hot garbage… so i went and got the cd last night… listened to it… and loved it… i never had the audacity to buy cause you know i figured if her record label wouldnt support it why should anybody else… well from now on i am a fan… from work to comeback those fast joints are fire…… and still love with my ex, flashback, this is love… pure beauty.. i must say the album is a very well put together album and much better than the recent lp of her fellow bandmate…. but then again i am a rnb junkie.. not a commercial music junkie so it slikely that i would not like b’s album…
Album re-release party? Isn’t it going strait to iTunes? In that case anyone sitting at their computer is pretty much at her album release party. She needs to drop Knowles and crew ASAP if she wants to continue to have a career, because they don’t really give a shit about how her album’s doing. If Matthew gave Kelly’s career even 1/3rd of the attention that he gives BeYaki then home girl would have been platinum by now.
So how come you keep blaming Matthew and Beyonce for Kelly’s flop of a career? If I recall, she released her first album before Beyonce and Michelle on the success with the duet with Nelly, and it flopped.
To me, Kelly just doesn’t have IT. She’s very talented but not of superstar quality. I wish her the best of luck.

#46 – exactly. stop blaming them for the public’s non-acceptance of Kelly (as you can see from the negative posts here.) if the knowles didn’t want her to win, they would’ve dropped her a long time ago and just continued to support her financially as they’ve been doing all her life.
kelly’s hot and i purchased her cd twice. will get it again when it re-releases just to support her.
Also, we’re living in an image based world. Beyonce’s successful because she can actually SING. She doesn’t need to be as beautiful, but it’s god-given. Kelly doesn’t have the image to support her THIN voice. EXAMPLE: RIHANNA – can’t sing or dance a lick, but her image is carrying her.
I bought her CD and liked it a lot. It’s not popular because there are no ignorant or negroidian lyrics to speak of on her CD. Most young people(or just young in the the mind) don’t get her because she’s sings about love not sex. She doesn’t mention anything about expensive material things, which has become boring as heck.Some (simple minded )people will never get her, but that doesn’t make her music bad. Then you have cowardly people who will listen to and like her music, but because others don’t they will go along with the crowd. Don’t be lambs. If you like it buy it. If not, then don’t.

We all know it’s never about the quality of the music, but all about the marketing of a person or product. Most people have the followers mentality, and therefore, if inondated with something enough, most will buy it. If you make something appear to be the hottest thing, or a must have, most people will run out and purchase it.
Kelly’s problem is marketing and her mentality period. Until she address these issues, she will continue to spin around just like a hampster on a wheel.

People talk about Kelly attitude or personality and marketing or lack there of, but I can’t imagine hearing an artist that I like very much, but saying I not going to buy their music because their marketing campaign is not good. I also will not buy music that I think is horrible because the person is attractive or wears beautiful clothing. I think most people would rather sit through a wack performance with fireworks over a good singer that doesn’t promote herself in an overtly sexual way. Oh, that must be the problem with Kelly, most young men and women can’t relate to her because she not a whore. I guess that why she seems so boring. When see starts abuse drugs and alcohol and starts sleeping around with various rappers or have a child out of wedlock, then she will be considered interesting. Kinda sad.
