Janet Jackson feat. Busta Rhymes – Feedback (Remix) (full) – listen
It’s not a Janet project without a collaboration with Janet Jackson. Even though it doesn’t sound official, I think that radio will play it. I think that Busta is looking to make a come back, I’ve been reading that he’s been on a lot of features. In any event, Janet’s Discipline dropped in stores last week and she definitely took over Time Square. I think this should be good for Ms. Jackson. I’m pleased with what she’s been doing.
The Dream feat. Young Jeezy – I Luv Your Girl (full) – listen
Never been too much of a fan of Young Jeezy, but this is The Dream’s 3rd single from his debut album, Love/Hate. I’m not positive on what the numbers have been doing for the album, but “Falsetto” gets a lot of spins on radio and in the club. I am more impressed with The Dream’s productions, more so than him as an artist. “I Luv Your Girl” is probably the best choice for his third single, and Jeezy should give it some push.

The Boys from Making the Band 4, now called Day 26 have been leaking material left and right. The album is supposedly due out March 11th, which is only just a week away. Even though I don’t have an attachment to the boys like I do Danity Kane, I have really been liking the music I’ve been hearing from them on the show. I’m really starting to get sad, because it seems like all their music is leaking, and they’re not going to have any fresh material for the album because everything’s been heard. “Just Like” sounds like a Bryan-Michael Cox joint to me, but there’s no confirmation on that. One Chance’s new single, “U Can’t (Resist It)” is set to impact radio soon.

Its nice to see Janet and Busta come together and do another song. They are saying Janet’s Discipline has sold a little over 178,000 in its first week. It could be worse. At least she will debut at number one.

Day 26, not really sure if they’ll have the same success as DK cuz they are just not showing they are hungry for success (well that’s what I think). One Chance’s Just Like is definitely the jam around here…I guess.

For once i agree with you, see its not hard is it??? im kinda disapointed with the low numbers but i think everybody elses was low so its just a slow period for the music industry right now. But she’s got that #1 spot so thats the main thing, thats what she was aiming for.
I love the Dream’s song but that extra rapper in the middle nearly ruined the record. This is what I would blast super super super loud driving home late on the empty streets and highway.

Okay. So this is officially the first song I have heard from DAY26 that has me a little more interested in their project. I watch the show, but all you really get are the cliche’d club bangers which anybody can do with the right beat. So it looks like their ballads will be the hotness. Probably won’t buy the album, but I will be picking tracks up on iTunes. I think I’m more interested in Donnie’s sound as far as the uptempos go.

That Day 26 song is fire. These boys really can sing. Even though they bee acting a fool on MB4. But their just starting out so once they really get into the business im sure they’ll become more polished. I mean look at freaking Keyshia Cole and even Mary J. when they first started out. I think these record companies need to do like what Motown Records used to do more Artist Development and stuff cuz, some artist like Beyonce for example just don’t know how to conduct interviews w/out sounding a bit duh duh dumb lol.
