Michelle Williams – Break the Dawn (snippet) – listen
The time is drawing close for Michelle to drop a new single. With the popularity of the snippet she leaked earlier, “Stop This Car,” new information has arisen. Michelle’s third album, which will be an R&B record, is called Unexpected and the new single is “Break the Dawn.” I like the track because it’s mellow but it has some power behind it too. I’m interested to see what the rest of this record is going to sound like. I’m sure a full version of “Break the Dawn” will surface within the coming weeks.
Janet Jackson feat. J.D., Busta, Ciara & Fabolous – Feedback (Remix) (full) – listen
I thought we were done with “Feedback?” But anyways, here’s a new remix that the label has been sending out to everyone. It seems as though they’ve adapted the rap verse that Ciara did in the studio for the official remix. They also added Fabolous into the mix. I actually don’t prefer the way the song is arranged, as far as the verses.
Cassie – Thirsty (full) – listen
Here’s a new track that’s supposedly featured on Cassie’s forthcoming album, which was supposedly titled The Return, but reports say that the album is yet to be titled. “Thirsty” is a catchy track, just like everything else I’ve heard from Cassie. It seems as though they are using the same formula that they did on Cassie’s first album – tight, semi-flashy, immaculate production and breathy vocals. I guess so. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But let’s just hope that she’s got that live performance game together.
Nina Sky – Secrets (full) – listen
Is Nina Sky making a comeback? I thought they were long overdue! This new song, “Secrets” is produced by Ryan Leslie, who is solely responsible for Cassie’s first record, as well as Cheri Dennis’s first single, “I Love You.” Although the song doesn’t impress me, there is something very catchy and hypnotic about it, which is true of a lot of Leslie’s production. Cassie’s beats always have good production. I’ve liked all her leaked tracks so far…BUT I don’t respect her as an artist at all! She’s a model! I won her first CD…lets hope I’m lucky second time around too.

Janet- Feedback remix is hot I am lovin it that is definitely a club banger. I love Ciara and Busta verses it really pulled me in to the song. Fabulous is doin the damn thing too.

Janets Album is soooo damn hot. But while I like Feedback its not my favorite…I can’t wait for the radio to start playing my favorites: LUV, RollerCoaster, So Much Better and Discipline!!!!
Hmm…all of these tracks are quite commercial to me.
I don’t see anything catching about them. There is nothing
spectacular. I can say that Michelle Williams is taking a different
approach with her music and that is a good thing. Her song isn’t
too bad I actually think its cute. As for Cassie all her songs are
sounding the same to me and I just think she needs to stick to
modeling honestly. As for Janet Jackson, it’s nothing I haven’t heard
before. I’m tired of the remixes already. Nina Sky never really did much
for me so I can’t comment on them.
I agree, they should’ve just left the damn remix with just CiCi and Janet on it. This one is a mess. Janet’s label should have made a smart move to release the first remix with CiCi right away before “rock with you” came out….now it’s too late. Cici being on there would have garnered a lot of attention and janet could have stole some of the shine, no offense to Janet fans as I am one too.
Kill me for saying this but I kinda dig Cassie’s single. it’s fresh.

wow, can”t you people judge the actually songs and not how you feel about the singer personally? judge the actually music that you are listening to and not the “TRL” performance that happened 2 years ago or on how “old” somebody is, or what singing group the were once apart of. Well I like all except Cassie’s not to be hater but Why, Why is she still trying to sing? I mad at Diddy for real, He let Domonique who could blow, I am telling really sing for Cassie. Just because she couldn’t dance. He could have a really solo artist out there for bad boy that could really sell records from her voice. He is a joke! The remix was cool, it added a little flavor to the song. I cant not wait for M, project. Ninia Sky needs to come harder if they want sell some records.
