BET reunites the classes of its popular series ‘COLLEGE HILL‘ for an hour-long special entitled, College Hill: Class Reunion.
In part one of the show, the casts of seasons 3, 4 and Interns will each take the stage for the first time to relive those moments that made their season unique. From hookups to blow ups, the cast will finally get their chance to set the record straight. Make sure you peep it tomorrow at 11pm EST.
SNOOP DOGG’S FATHERHOOD FINALE
Snoop Dogg ended the first season of his new reality TV show by renewing his wedding vows. The rapper insisted the ceremony he hastily arranged for the finale of Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood be kept a closely-guarded secret until the episode aired on Sunday night.
Snoop – real name Calvin Broadus – gave his management team just two days to set up a surprise vow renewal for him and his wife Shante, who thought the whole ceremony was being arranged for her husband’s best friend, the Gap Band star Charlie Wilson. Soul star Teddy Riley and rapper David Banner were among the celebrity guests at the ceremony and after-party.

OPRAH WINFREY’S BIG GIVE
Oprah Winfrey’s new show The Big Give premiered on ABC last night. The show features ten contestants from diverse backgrounds including a pageant queen, an army captain who served in Iraq, a wheelchair-bound TV producer. The contestants are given money each week and told go use it towards helping others.
Each week they are given a new charity case to crack. The worthy causes the group tackled in the first episode included a woman with two daughters whose husband was killed in a robbery and a homeless women in L.A. that fled her home because of domestic violence.

ok i have yet to see the guy that “goes to morehouse” from college hill interns actually at morehouse. and college hill is an awful depiction of hbcu’s and their students considering the fact that i currently attend a hbcu. the things that go on in this house on college hill do not go on in real life…why not document real drama like students struggling to pay their tuition or waiting on refund checks or actual heated intellectual conversations and debates that go on in these institutions…instead of being the ghetto black college version of the real world. i don’t understand how something so uplifting for our people like college still ends up exploiting us and making us look ignorant and oversexed…this is really frustrating.
Look @ Vanessa with her evil self! This will be entertaining, hopefully I remember everybody from the seasons. The first College Hill was hilarious. That guy with the dreads doing Dance Dance Revolution was ridiculous. I had never heard of that crap before the show.
oh yeah and snoop doggs show definitelly is scripted…everything is planned to the tee. and it’s sad that after all these years, publicizing for his reality show is the only thing that made him brng his wife into the public. and i’m so tired of seeing these athletes and rappers wives not knowing anything for themselves or not having the money, the mind, or a grind for themselves. they have no backup plan but to sit up and have these dudes babies. they thought they trapped the millionaire guy when the millionaire guy actually trapped the wife. (snoops wife, irv gotti’s wife, kim porter, etc.)
I hate that I messed the episode of Fatherhood when Choc sang for Keyshia Cole. Aww, I know I’m wrong, but I know she can’t sing and I want to laugh.

YOU RARELY SAW ANYTHING THAT HAD TO DO WITH SCHOOL OUTSIDE OF RALLY’S AND SCHOOL PARTIES. SEEMS LIKE THEY SPENT MOST OF THE TIME IN THE HOUSE HAVING PARTIES, GETTING DRUNK, HAVING SEX WITH EACHOTHER, CHEATING ON EACHOTHER, AND FIGHTING. IT’S SO TYPICAL THESE DAYS AND THAT’S NOT EVEN WHAT COLLEGE IS ABOUT MOST OF THE TIME. THEY CHOOSE THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL CAST THAT WILL DO WHATEVER TO BE A “CELEBRITY” I WONDER HOW MANY OF THEM ARE ACTUALLY IN A PROFESSION?
Caught the finale of Snoop’s show, and it was touching. Never knew Snoop was a Mr. Sensitivo! And I had to laugh at him having Guy & Charlie Wilson come in to sing Let’s Chill. I love black people.

Ummm to all of the people that are saying college hill wasn’t suppose to be about the college students or the college…what did you think it was suppose to be about?….The reason it is called college hill and if you take a look at the description of what the show is about…it tells you that it is about the realism of college life told by selected students from that college. That’s why BET gets permission from the colleges to advertise their school because it is about the school and students that attend it. Standing on those long lines for financial advisors, registering for classes, doing all niters for classes, etc is the realism of college life. Yes there’s sex, fights, etc but that is secondary. If BET chooses to show that as the primary run for their show then that goes to show that students go to college for the wrong reasons and that’s why ppl talk about HBCUs and African Americans having high rates of HIV/AIDS

No one is saying that College Hill should sugar coat college life, but they are, obviously, only interested in airing the most ignorant things, because to them, that equals ratings.
I mean, you all can act naive if you want to, but the media plays a major role in the missed-perceptions of black folks. And realize that all types of people, from various backgrounds, watch BET, NOT just black people.
Also realize that many of these other people, who do not know that much about our experiences, treat these stereotypical images as their news source.
Furthermore, the channel’s singular view of black life only further perpetuates us in a negative life.
I mean, you might think that it would be easy for people to not judge other groups of people based off of a TV show, but it’s not. They think a lot of what they see on TV is true.
So, asking if BET/College Hill could be more balanced in their depictions of the lives of black Americans is not too much to ask.
And now, the channel has messed around and launched a BET UK; even black Europeans know that BET is full of crap.
