TV ROUNDUP: TYRA KNOWS HOMELESSNESS? / SNL’S FAUXBAMA? / AMERICA’S BEST DANCE CREW

Sunday, March 2, 2008

tyrahomeless.jpg
( Photos: Email/CW )

Tyra Banks has confused and even pissed off viewers once again with this week’s photoshoot on America’s Next Top Model. The challenge featured contestants posing as sort of “chic homeless girls” along with real homeless girls dressed in fashionable wear. You can view a clip of the photoshoot here.

Tyra said she chose this as a theme after being homeless for a segment on her Tyra Show back in ‘06 (pictured above). The picture next to it, is the one she took for ANTM this week posing as a stylish homeless woman. I really don’t get half of the things Tyra does nor, do I really care to - but, do any of you find this over the top?

Shoutout to my girl Isis who was working it though!…

SNL’S FAUXBAMA?

fredarmisenobama.jpg
( Photos: TVSquad/Huffingtonpost )

Another thing some people were pissed about this week was Saturday Night Live’s pick for their comical depiction of Barack Obama. The producers picked Fred Armisen - a White and Asian man - to play Obama a.k.a “Fauxbama” last week and another episode featuring Fauxbama supposedly aired tonight.

After reading about it in the Washington Post this week, I learned that many critics were offended by this move. Chicago Tribune’s Maureen Ryan said:

“They couldn’t find an African-American performer who was funny enough to play the junior senator from Illinois? They couldn’t find one in New York? Not anywhere in the country? Really?”

Well, the only African American on the show as of now is Keenan Thompson - and could he really play Obama and be convincing? Plus this isn’t the first time a White man is portraying a Black man on the show - Darrell Hammond (yes he’s White) plays Jesse Jackson.

AMERICA’S BEST DANCE CREW

bestdancecrew.jpg
( dance crews Status Quo & Live In Color | Photos: MTV.com )

Does anyone watch MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew? I just got into the Thursday night live show and I must admit, I really dig it.

Well if you haven’t cared to learn about the show, it’s produced by America Idol judge Randy Jackson. Lil Mama, N’SYNC member JC Chasez, and Hip Hop producer Shane Sparks serve as judges (I don’t get JC as a judge but, whatever) and Saved By The Bell star Mario Lopez hosts the competition.

The winning team will win a “cool cash prize and a coveted touring contract”. Each week they have little dance themes and next week, they will dance from hits off of Michael Jackson’s Thriller album. I’m pretty mad that Live In Color (pictured above below) got the boot this week after this performance but, I’ll keep watching unfortunately.

Tyra looks like a FOOL in both those shots. That shit is uncalled for right there. How are you going to try to do a ‘high fashion’ photo shoot and the theme is to ACT HOMELESS? LAME!

Does anyone even watch SNL anymore? They aren’t funny to me. MAD TV is better.

Never peeped A.B.D.C. I’ll check it out this week.

I don’t think that was very smart of Tyra. I mean what message is she sending. In my eyes that’s ignorant. I don’t know about anyone else but none of the homeless people on my block have designer clothes. RIDICULOUS

Funny how THOSE people (yes I said it) can call us ignorant but they do stupid skits like this. There’s gotta be a BLACK man that could have played the part.

My husband loves that dance show. He’s addicted.

I don’t know, I feel like Tyra’s exploiting the homeless with that episode. It killed me when she said “this is something that hits close to home, I was homeless for a day on my show.” WTF Tyra? I know she’s just trying to get ratings, but come on.

I wasn’t offended by that dude playing Obama, who else on that show could have done it, Keenan? He doesn’t look a thing like Obama.

Tyra is full of shit. End of story. I can only take her in doses and my dose is different cycles of ANTM depending on what the models look like.

My best friend and sister be watching ABDC, they say that the Jabberwokes (i know I spelled that wrong) are the best dance crew on there. I haven’t really watched it even though I like these type of shows. I’ll have to catch up on Mtv.com

JC is a judge because he was in N’Sync which did alot of choreography, duh lol! I don’t get why Lil’ Mama is there? She does a little dancing but it is what it is…

“this is something that hits close to home” lol, I didnt even see that part. Tyra if you’re reading this honey, that was a dumb comment. You put make up and clothes that probably werent even dirty but just appeared to be.

For something to hit close to home u had to experience it for real (not just played the part), I mean, you don’t see Will Smith walking around talking about Pursuit of Happyness hit close to home. IDIOT

I understand she is trying to “shine” a light on homeless-ness in the United States, which is good.

She could have done it differently, how about just having the women pose in a real homeless enviorment with no make-up and old clothes or something.

As for America’s Best Dance Crew I want that crew of breakers with the masks to win.

A.B.D.C. IS PRETTY THOROUGH…THE BEST CREW IS THE ASIAN CATS W/ THE ONE BLACK DUDE, SOMETHING LIKE THE JABBA WALKIES, I THINK…AND WHY THEY GOT RANDOM A** SLATER AS THE HOST…

THE CHICAGO POST NEEDS TO CALM DOWN, IF THEY WERE REALLY BOUT IT THEY WOULD’VE SAID SOMETHING LONG TIME AGO ABOUT THE LACK OF BLACK CAST MEMBERS ON S.N.L. IF THEY DON’T LIKE IT TURN THE CHANNEL…

THE OTHER TOPIC IN THIS POST, EHH.

I don’t think she’s exploiting the homeless. It’s a fashion photo and alot of the themes she use on the show does not make sense alot of times. I say Tyra do you because apparently you do it well! ANTM is a great show and she’s giving models a chance to break into the industry who wouldn’t otherwise be looked at twice.

I didn’t understand Tyra doing the whole homeless thing.Kind of turned me.If I was Tyra and I was directing a homeless shoot I would just have them do some still shots in front of real homeless people to get the message. But Tyra is ALL RATINGS.

Don’t watch SNL as much

I just got into ABDC too.It was kind of interesting, but I’m tired of Lil Mama talking about “step it up” lol.I agree the best crew is Jabba Faces or I think that’s the name.

Yeah, Tyra is a bit WHaCK for glamorizing homelessness, she can rant & rave at how much “awareness” this is supposedly going to bring to the issue of homelessness, but at the end of the day its tactless. Whats going to be the theme of next week’s shoot? Glamorizing Slavery?? “Yeah girl! Pick that cotton like no one’s ever picked before!! You betta take that whipping better than Kunte Kente!! Work that Potato sack garment gurrrrrrrl!” I don’t know…Tyra needs to really think before she agree to certain things, maybe she has too much on her plate….Notice how Oprah took on most of her major projects later on in the game…trya is just starting out and trying to do TOO dayum much.

As far as the SNL skit…lol just from the looks of it…Ol’ boy nailed obama’s look and demeanor. lol I dont think Keenan, in all seriousness, could pull it off.

I watch ABDC and my favorite is Status Quo…they do really good performances. And E-Knock did all that jumping on his hurt ankle when they had to do the Soulja Boy, it was hot. I was so confused with Live in Color going home. They completely out-did those girls, so I really don’t know what the judges were on with that one.

18.

PROVOST...

Sunday, March 2, 2008 /

::sigh:: Tyra didn’t think that one through, lol… I personally have no problem with anyone acknowledging a painful aspect of life - even one people would call “ugly” - through artistic expression. I only have one expectation of people who choose to take that route: if you’re going to tell me that you’re this aware of whatever crisis, condition, or misfortune wish to use as subject matter for your art, then I expect you to take some initiative towards a solution to the problem.

You want to use homeless girls? Fine by me. It’s ironic/edgy/creative to put them in Balenciaga for an hour. I even support it. It’s exploitation, though, when all you do is drop them back off at the edge of the park when the shoot’s over. Social responsibility!

As for the Obama sketch, I’m not offended at all. ::shrug:: I LOVE SNL, and I love it because the quality of the writing, the caliber of talent, and - most importantly - the CHEMISTRY of the actors/comedians on the show are unmatched by Mad TV, Nick Cannon’s show, or just about any other attempt at good sketch comedy out there, in my opinion. That’s why SNL cast members and alum always work together, and that’s why it always works when they do.

So, I don’t think it would be smart to bring someone new in mid-season just because he’s Black, funny and skinny, when you can get it done (with a little irony thrown in for good measure) in-house and move on. No one at SNL - or anywhere else - knew what the headline material would be in ‘08 before ‘08 came, so they’re over it. So am I.

TYRA is shameless, all she is doing is referencing her talk show on ANTM so people can tune-in. Pretending to be homeless for half-a-day DOES not mean you know how it is to be homeless! You can really see how uneducated she is.

AND the Obama/SNL issue:

How are critics defending ” Barack Obama’s vision of a less racist America by saying only a black comedian is allowed to make fun of the presidential candidate”.
I bet these critics aren’t even black.

Don't Believe the Hype

Sunday, March 2, 2008 /

If Tyra truly wanted to embody being homeless, then someone needed to tell her that putting makeup on her face and passing it off as dirt, and wearing that rag does not a homeless person make. Being filmed while being in the streets for 1 day does not equal homlessness either. She had the nerve to act like she can relate. Bitch please!!
And to have the models dress up like that in an alley and critique how “homeless and fashionable” they looked was just pure stupidity. And she wonders why nobody takes her seriously. If she wants to truly embody homelessness, then she needs to try it for at least 30 days. All the way, not just in the streets during the day and resting at the Waldorf at night with a camera crew and makeup artists at her beck and call.

fuck tyra..and fuck ANTM. That shit was uncalled for..she took it too far. Personally, I think Tyra is very unattractive. i never thought her eyes were real–im pretty sure those are contacts–and her head is shaped like the Alien from American Dad. At least Orpah wasn’t as cutthroat when she got her start. I refuse to watch aNTM…..it’s fake, hypocritial (when you have ni66as like Ms. Jay judging..puhleeeeeeaze). fuck that show.

Oh yeah I watch that MTV show. I love love love Status Quo and I thought it was so messed up how they booted Live in Color over that other group who are a mess. But everything happens for a reason so hopefully they will move on to bigger and better opprotunities in life.

I saw the Tyra episode and she was TRIPPIN’. With the fake tear and all. I remember that episode of her talkshow too. She was patronizing those homeless kids the whole time. I don’t think she means to do it though. She’s not very aware of how she comes off to people and she tries way too hard. I think she’ll find herself and become more empathetic in time - if they let her show even stay on that long.

ANYWHO - I peeped Isis and Anjelika in that episode of ANTM. I’ve seen them on another show, and I’m glad to see them getting shine. They’re tough cookies. And ISIS WORKED IT bettter than half those models - if they only knew.

________
About SNL - I don’t see how that’s offensive in the least. I am Black. I’m an Obama supporter. And I do improv. Fred Armisen did the most spot on impression of Obama I’ve ever seen. It was inspired. He didn’t do any offensive caricatures, he portrayed the humors aspects of Obama’s mannerisms in a tasteful and hilarious way. Critics need to go find something on television that’s really offensive to the African-American demographic - Like the fact that Flavor of Love is in its 3rd season.

POINT 1) Tyra wouldn’t understand the plight of the homeless if it busted her in her head, she’s been a international model since she was 17. PLEASE!

POINT 2) Acting like something doesn’t mean that you really “know what it’ like” that’s why I get sick when actors act like they are so educated about something when they get PAID to act/learn about it. I wish I was paid to know half the things I know.

POINT 3) Why doesn’t anyone know or realize that Obama is 1/2 white??? He was born to a Kenya father and White mother. So, what’s the problem with the guy playing him on SNL? I just don’t get it. On top of that, Obama is not the first “Black” president, He might be the second bi-racial president we might have, William S. Truman was bi-racial too. (You might have to dig hard, but it’s true)

EDUCATE YOURSELVES! Don’t let the media teach you

I thought it was poor taste on Tyra’s part. When i watched the show ANTM on Wednesday and she made the comment about how she experienced homelessness I was like WTF ever Tyra, you chose to be homeless, and shit you trying to be “cute” while trying to play homelesss. and further more you knew that it was all for RATINGS and that in 30-45 minutes you would be back in the lap of luxury. If you waned to do something to bring light to the situation then fine, but dont trip like you know it first hand.

Tyra is always looking for an angle to draw the focus to herself. So she sat on a corner for 4 or 5 hours begging for spare change … so what! She don’t know nuthin about being homeless and shouldn’t dare to say this “hits close to home” for her. Those real homeless girls worked that photo shoot better than some of the contestants! Why didn’t she do something for them to help them with more than just a photo shoot? She’s a fake ass, wack ass, bitch.

Randy Jackson’s show is one of the best shows on right now. The dance crews are better than anything I’ve ever seen on television! I’m loving Status Quo and Jabbawokeez …. you gotta see these dudes mix it up! The Asian group Kaba Modern is tight. I didn’t know Asians could throw down like that! It’s a “must see” show next week when they dance to MJ’s “Thriller” hits. I’m starting to sound like a commercial now so I better quit, but I love the show.

I think that any attention given to the very serious problem of homelessness,is a good thing.Drug and Alcohol abuse, mental illness,ex-cons returning to society, were the main factors of the homeless rates of the Pre-Bush era.Now it is foreclosures,15000,in the Cleveland area alone, and more than half of them Black Families. We are not talking about your average 60-100k property, were talking your 250-500k properties, your middle/upper middle-class black folk ass -out,and don’t think it can’t happen to you.Now that we are in a election year,it’s time speak up for those who are voiceless as well, because you can’t vote if you don’t have an address@30 did you mean Harry S.Truman if so wow, that was the dude who dropped the bomb on Japan!

Seriously, black people get offended by every little thing. If a black man was to play a white person’s part convincingly, do you think you would hear a big uproar from them? No! That’s because they don’t care. So why not save our energy for something that’s truly offensive instead of nit picking on everything.

Tyra’s just doing her job. Some will like it, others won’t. That’s the nature of this business. Either way, she’s taking home the dough.

Was glad to see comments like the one from Provost regarding SNL. Yes, people still watch it. The comedy isn’t always low brow like Mad TV - you have to kinda know what’s going on in the world to enjoy it. Fred Armisen is hilarious. If you ever saw his Prince, you’d be dying. Also like the comment reminding that Obama has a caucasian parent also - it’s this kind of heightened sensitivity to issh that don’t matter that kinda makes me shake my head.

Now where we REALLY need to get together and do a “Drop Squad”-type kidnapping is on Keenan Thompson. If there has ever been a modern day coon on TV, it has been Keenan. I’m almost ashamed to watch him. Yes, Amos and Andy lives…. through Keenan Thompson.

I guess many of you aren’t old enough to remember when Oprah did some really crass topics on her show back in the day. Maybe after Tyra is 25+ years into the game, she’ll do shows on the level of Oprah.

About ABDC, as a former dancer, I love the show!!! Live in Color is no longer on the show because booty shaking for half the dance routine is wack! Jabawokeez (sp?) WILL win !!!

If anyone watched that show she wasnt just using homelessness as a theme. She was promoting a non-profit organization that helps homeless woman have a chance at normalcy. The 3 “homeless” woman used on the shoot alongside the models are from that organization who now have jobs.

I was mad that Live in Color got kicked off of the show. I will say this - Lil Mama sucks as a judge. She constantly interrupts and tries to talk over the other judges when they are talking and she just acts like she knows Everything about dancing. Why? JC does fit in because as a member of Nsync, all their songs were choreographed.

56.

My mother actually got me game to ABDC; I watched it for the first time yesterday. I can’ believe they voted the group from MIA off. That was crazy. I can’t compare them to the groups before them, because I haven’t seen any others, but I know they absolutely shut those girls down!! Those judges were wrong and need to get the boot themselves.

To the person that said Live In Color do a lot of booty shaking…well Status Quo is heavy on the flips and acrobats. So that’s not a reason to be sent home. From what I saw of LIC they do more than just booty shaking. They’re vampire performance was vicious. They had my mouth on the floor. I do remember one of the members saying how they’re not use to doing the flips and stuff…so for them to deliver the way that they did, they deserve major props.

Some of us black folks tend to dramatize EVERY little thing regarding race. Do some of us EVER think further? MAYBE there wasn’t any black man working for SNL at THAT moment who LOOKED like barack. The SNL OBAMA thing is silly. Everyone knows that is what snl does. they use the cast they have to portray other celebrities/public figures. Cast memeber Maya Rudolf who is half black half white Plays every race unders the sun from Donatella Versace to Beyonce to little white girls. Even eddie murphy played white guys when he was on the show back in the day. You have to admit even though though fred armesen is half white half asian and obama is half black and half white the do resemble each other and Fred is definately teh cast memeber that most resembles obama right now

Those “homeless” girls weren’t hardly homeless, and they were hardly “females”. I ain’t knocking them for doing their thing and before I say what I gotta say the two that I’m about to talk about did their thing and Isis is a really good fashion designer. But the two light-skinned ones for lack of better terms, were not women. They were on this show on MSNBC that aired two documentaries on men transitioning on becoming women and how they were coping with society and stuff. It just irritated me a bit that Tyra kept portraying them to be homeless girls and they were neither. Both of those “girls” had loving families that would have took them in and they both had places to stay. I’m not saying that their situations couldn’t have changed though. That’s all I had to say but even though they are really men, they could stand up half the women in existence today b/c they were pretty.

America’s Best Dance Crew is HOTTTT!!! I love the JabbaWockeez and Kabba Modern.

Sunday, March 2, 2008 /

the best dance crews on the show are the jabbawockeez and kabba modern. i’m sorry but those two groups smash EVERYONE in that competition and even the judges know it. stauts is ok but all they can really do is flip and break a little. they’re not great DANCERS which is what the competition is about. and don’t get me started on fysh n chicks and the skating crew. lame! the jabbas and kabba modern actually dance very well and don’t need to flip or break to make a great routine and that’s why one of those two should win. and kabba’s isolations are sick!!

tyra knows nothing about homelessness and that’s the only problem that i had w/ what she did (being homeless for a day means nothing). i don’t have an issue with the picture/theme though b/c fashion industries do things like that all the time. like when one ad actually showed ppl doing drugs (not real drugs obviously but it looked real) . why be mad at tyra for something that the industry has been doing for yrs? not saying it’s right but she didn’t start the trend

and who cares about the fauxbama thing? i bet it was funny, i wanna see it. i wanna know if the ppl who criticized it were black though b/c i’m sure not all of them were

oh and about living color (or whatever they were called) they weren’t that great either. i mean they were better than fysh n chicks and the skaters but all they did was botty shake. they had no creativity and their last routine bored me to death. i don’t care of you can be thrown in the air. show me some intricate moves and then we’ll call it a day. idk i just find most of the competition to be very very average

@ 63. LMAO! Oh I know I can’t pose like Tyra, she is after all, a retired SUPERMODEL. But I can’t get into those wack- photos of her trying to look homeless. And WTF @ her holding a money can in the 2nd shot! I personally think it was inconsiderate of her to do this photo shoot.

Stylish homelessness? LOL, for some reason this reminds me of the movie Zoolander, when Will Ferrel’s character created a chic/homeless campaign called ‘Derelique’.

Complicated

Sunday, March 2, 2008 /

WTF…I confused about why viewers wud be pissed off. The reason she portrayed a homeless woman on her show was because she admitted that she would just ignore them when she sees them(like so many people do), and she wanted to shed a little light on the situation. And on ANTM, it was a theme, nothing more, and I think it was a great effort because Im sure those people who were homeless had a good time, and she also put a spotlight on the homeless shelter that houses young teenagers and allows them to go to college…..I dont get America…if you ignore it, its wrong….if you expose it, its wrong….

ABDC is my show…love it, love it. Live in color need some new moves…booty shaking was getting old. They did kill the last challenge with the vampires but it was a little too late. My absolute favorite team is Status Quo…they’re the truth and keeps it straight street. I’m also diggin Kobba Modern…who would’ve thought… they’re isolations are sick.

If she paid the homeless girls for the photo shoot…I don’t see the problem here.

I guess I am not all that pc…and we tend to get our panties in a ruffle behind the silliest things…I am not at all offended by the Fauxbama either…I mean Obama’s mother is white.

We always have to have something to be upset about, but we never seem to focus our energy on the right causes.

I stopped watching ANTM after last season. I find this photo shoot to be OFFENSIVE. It glamorizes homelessness, a SERIOUS AFFLICTION that AFFECTS MILLIONS of people worldwide.
VETERANS, loose their homes due to financial strain. ADDICTS, and TEENS that are running from abuse are left homeless. This is not a matter such an idol and socially irrelevant show as ANTM.
There is nothing glamorous about HOMELESSNESS.
Tyra’s arrogance and eternal well of bad ideas never ceases to amaze me.

Both of those crews KiLLED it in the audition episode buttt they went downhill from there. I think Jabawockeez will win anyways [and they deserve to]!!

ThinkAboutIt

Sunday, March 2, 2008 /

Tyra does a lot of good, but all too often she manages to focus too much on herself… it’ her show and she can do what she wants, but in almost every story she has on ANTM and her Talk show she manages to turn the attention to herself and away from the issue or her guests. It seems to be a form of insecurity - it’s like if she doesn’t talk about herself, no one else will. It makes her seem so disingenious.

And what the hell is “Homeless Chic”? She is trivializing a very serious situation. If he really wanted to do something for the real homeless women - damn dressing them up, get them someplace to live besides the streets.

There is an election going on for the President of US - who cares about a Barack Obama skit or who’s playing in it. It’s more offensive that they continue to refer to him as a “junior” senator… just a sideways comments re: his “experience”.

86.

UGLY

Sunday, March 2, 2008 /

#15 Jaja is on point, it’s true about Tyra taking in too much already. And as far as SNL is concerned the show is overrated, The Washington Post which consists mainly of white writers and editors are just trying to ambiguously bring up the race card and start some drama. MAD TV is a lot funnier, but I realized that they too have used a white person in black make up to act as Obama. Whatever it’s not worth watching anyway and its just the media bringing in the race card drama and trying to further divide the nation…i’m not buying it.

well said/written NUMBER 30, I can’t agree with you more! *(claps hands)*

I do think that Tyra was thinking ,but didn’t think of the cons,as well as the pros of the the (photo)shoot. Better luck next. On another note,Tyra has to be one of the most irritating people on TV. DGTMW-she gets mad respect for her business savyness *(is that a word)? But she always ends up making most of a story or interview/conversation about her in some way shape or form,it has become old! YES,we all get your were/are a (retired) Supermodel-but for real, you don’t have to mention all the damn time. We have NOT forgotten.

I don’t watch SNL(no comment)-but someone did mention that (in fact that) Obama is bi-racial,so why is it a big deal, that this person to play him. Indeed-what’s the issue again, with him doing that? Hell it’s called acting!

one the best movies, ever IMO is http://www.amazon.com/Imi...ection-1934/dp/B0000WN0NW

The actress(Sarah Kohner) that played the light-skinned/”passing” for white girl,in the movie wasn’t a black actress, but of Mexican and Jewish decent. So I think it’s doesn’t matter(about this actor playing Mr. Obama) unless-he was being stereotypical in the skit on SNL.

lol wow you guys are crucifying Tyra for this lol. Anyways I don’t think it was all that serious to get upset over it. Alot of photographers have done serious themes for their photos, and use models reenact the issue for awareness by embellishing it with a top fashion wardrobe. I’ve seen it done before plenty of times and many of you have to. I just think since we all know who Tyra is, it’s easier to get upset at her for this. I don’t think it’s fair but whatever everyone is entitled to their opinions. However I will agree with many of you though she can’t possibly know the torment, struggle, degradation, or destituteness that homeless people go through everyday to survive with only “one day” of experience lol. So I think she should’ve used better choice of words, maybe that she can empathize with them because that’s what most people can only do if they haven’t experienced that.

The Obama episode was funny. I think that’s what made it funny was a white man portraying him. It’s all comedy folks no need to get your panties in a bunch. Man people want entertainment, but when you give entertainment people don’t have sense of humor lol.

The whole Obama on SNL…get over that shit! The dude is not even white…that’s what the REAL issue is about the guy playing him… and he looks like Obama to me. It’s not even that serious, plus Obama mama ( that sounds funny, LOL!) is white, so that should count for something(not really) but it’s just to show how stupid this whole controversy is.

I love Tyra and I admire the strides she’s made as a businesswoman. A black business woman at that. But I think that where she excels in business-sense, she lacks in common-sense. I think she means well, but it doesn’t always come out well, because she and it (her ideas) come off childlike and over the top. You sometimes forget the message she’s trying to send because she messes it up with being overly dramatic or overly childish.

I understand the “homeless” photoshoot was to draw attention to the many, many homeless people out there and hopefully encourage people to help them, but for Tyra to say she understands homelesses because she spent a “day” as a FAKE homeless person for her T.V. show is irresponsible and disrespectful to the people who have to deal with being homeless EVERYDAY and don’t have an EASY way out!!!

You want something to be mad about…be mad at Bill O’Reily and his comment about having a lynching party for Mrs. Obama “if” her comment abot finally being able to be a proud American is true. Tyra, Flav…they are doing what they do best…working the media and getting paid. If they make fools of themselves, then that is on them. They don’t represent me. You don’t have to watch that. They are irrelevant if you want them to be. O’Reily and his sanctimonious behind made a racial comment about a black woman who may very well be the next first lady, and then tried to justify it by giving a crap apology and claiming it was taken out of context…my ass. I don’t have a problem with Tyra or the photos. It’s something that’s never been done. If she did something from a previous season, people would say she’s not doing anything different. I do think Tyra can be a lil over the top sometimes, but I think she means well with it. The whole Obama thing is nothing new. They have been doing this since back in the days and it’s not cool. I love the dance crew show, I watch it every week. I love status quo and was so upset that live and color was kicked off. It was very unfair if you compare their performance to phish and chicks they should’ve clearly won. I think afterwards the judges knew that was a bad call when the audience was upset and the other dance crews bought out live and color’s banner. Also I love the going away performance live and color did making the judges regret.

SNL: I don’t see a problem here. He actually looks like Obama in the sketch. I was reading an article which reported that the people who are the most upset and making a big thing about this are white people! Once again people are hating on Tyra. Sometimes art is the only way to make people aware of todays issues. Tyra knows that. Some of you ignorant ass people who just sit around hating on positive black people, while not doing anything spectacular, with no plans of doing anything major, would never be able to see that in your state of mind. I like Tyra’s show. People think cause she’s being bubbly and nice all the time, means she’s fake. When someone is being rude, loud, and disrespectful, “they keeping it real.”

THERE IS NOTHING CHIC ABOUT THE HOMELESS LOOK; WHAT IS WRONG WITH TYRA. ALTHOUGH TYRA IS DOING HER THING, SHE IS HYPOCRITICAL MOST OF THE TIME; FOR ILLUSTRATION, SHE TALKS ABOUT SELF-IMAGE AND SHE HAS A SECOND NOSE JOB, A BLONDE WEAVE, AND MAKEUP TWO TIMES LIGHTER THAN HER COMPLEXION. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH A BI-RACIAL MAN PORTRAYING BARACK OBAMA IN A PARODY, BARACK IS ALSO BI-RACIAL.
